I'm using river sand,from my nearby river in one of my tanks.. I would disinfect them by filtering required size, then boiling them in water for one hour. I have stem plants in them too. like, crypocryne wenditi green & brown, dwarf sagitaria sabulatta. Regullar liquid fertilization is enough. This tank is one year old, it's doing fine👍. U should try this some time, to get natural Indian river looks...

Does snails eat fish poop! I read many articles and there always debate on this. Some says yes some no.... Actually I have FH fish and albino pleco with bare bottom. Thinking to add snails to fish poop.Any suggestions !?

Sir you are right about snails they are coming with plants. This winter session in my local area aqaurium shop i am searching apple snails for my aquarium tank but he said me The snaila are not surviving in winter so the dont have snails for sale. So i am searching them online store but they dont deliver in my area . So i purchase 2 frogbit floating plant for my aquarium from bunnycart When i get the delivery i separate them in jar for 1 weak and place them on window side so they can see direct sun light . After one weak i check the plnts and i found baby snails on plants back 😁 but i am happy to have them .

Hello Sir, I have a question, I used a product of anti snail which i purchased from amazom in my already set up old planted aquarium. All the snails were dead initially but just after a day or two i noticed one or two snails again and the health of my plants seemed to get affected but my fishes were unaffected by the anti snail product. Now as i am planning to set up a new planted aquarium in this case should i treat the plants and the river sand before with the anti snail product before putting them in my new planted aquarium? Can it harm the new plants? I am not sure whether the anti snail product affected those old plants in my old aquarium or were those old plants already destroyed by those snails. Respected Sir, An advice from you will be very helpful. Thank you.

Firstly do not use unnecessary chemicals in your aquarium, there are simpler ways to remove snails, not the snails you saw were eggs that hatched Thank you so Much 😀 If you Truly Love your Fish you Will Feed LIFE AAYU as it is made for the Love of Fish and Keeping Fish Healthy !!

I bought some plants from kerala farm and got some snails eggs free with them. Within 10 days i saw some black tiny snails and after 18-24 hrs later bigger snails came out with boom population i dont know how so i have to threw my all plants and trying to do drt my whole soil and tank So sir can i use that soil again?

Copper sulphate will kill the snails but it can harm your fish as well if it gets mixed in tank water Though it is used in treatment of fish fungus, parasites etc Copper can be very harmful if the dosage is incorrect Now ti wash the plants externally you can use it but you have to again wash the plants in salt water so you can remove any residue of copper from the leaves as a precaution.

Mayur Sir - I am new to the hobby. My planted tank is only 4 months old. with Neon Tetras, Rummy Nosed Tetras, and rapidly multiplying Guppies! I happened to notice only today that a snail is the tank. I have no idea where and how it got in. I have not seen it in 4 months. Is having a snail in the tank good / acceptable? Or should I get rid of it ASAP? I checked the entire tank and there is only 1 snail at the moment.

Good Morning Sir Thanks for the information I have a juwel rio 125 L aquarium i want to planted with echinodorus and anubias do I need a high level of filteration with lit biological media or does just internal juwel filter shall be enough. My big filter holds 6 kilo of biological media and juwel internal filter takes around 1.5 kilo of media . Please advise me ! Thanks à lot

An internal filter is never good for a planted aquarium, also using bio media is good for a healthy aquarium

There is another video on snails with will give you more info, also the simplest way is to keep a slice of cucumber in the night and remove it with the snails on it in the morning, do this for a week and then repeat every two weeks until the snails reduce if you don't have fish in the tank increase the co2 and the snails will come out or die don't do this with fish in the tank The traps and liquids form the market don't work

Hello sir, I'm new in aquarium hobby nd a new subscriber of ur channel 😊 I watched lots of videos before setup my first Nano tank... Here all are talking about snails BUT yesterday I purchased some guppy grass for my tank and i found something very tiny tiny catterpillar shaped totally transparent things which almost sticking hard in almost every stems, whn i tried to pull them by nails it almost hard to pull out, I dnt know what are those, are they any kind of parasites or something? And wht should I do now should I throw all thoes plants? i dipped them in hydrogen paroxide solution for 3 mins and washed with Ro water now is it safe to plant?Please help sir, I searched in google too bt i couldn't find any answer or suggestion or information on this.... Till now I didn't planted in my aquarium soo what will i do...? Thnk u waiting for ur reply😊

I have natural plants and fishes in aquarium. Aquarium was installed by professional. At starting I don't have any idea about this problem. After sometime there are lots of snails but to corona issue I can't call him. please suggest me any medicine to remove snails without harming fishes and live plants in aquarium.

Dear Raju, There is no medicine to remove snails without harming the plants and fish, I will tell you a simple method, it is a slow process but you will get results 1. Dip two slices of cucumber in boiling water for 15 seconds 2. Take these slices and hang it from the side inside the tank, in the water 3. the snails will come to eat the cucumber 4. remove the cucumber and throw 5. Repeat this for at least 15 days This way you will get rid of the snails not permanently but to a large extent and there will be no harm you your tank

I faced the same issue. I had put some 4 assassin snails and whenever I could find large snails on the glass I manually removed them. Please note, avoid squishing them inside the tank. Its now 5 weeks since I put the assassins and the situation is much better
