@@gauravmahale2852im trying to fix both, and the soft palette part helped me sound quite a bit less nasally while singing…. I just can’t while talking 😅. So big improvement in singing voice, really no improvement in talking.
I lowered my larynx and it worked ... I've always been ridiculed for having childish voice now i just have to practice alot to pick this habit quickly thanx
I never thought that congestion would lead to that much of a nasally tone but I'm always stuffed up and this was not the case when i was younger. This video really helped me understand my tone and how to make adjustments....thank you
thank you very much, my voice was is deep but it came sooooo deep after a cold and I thought I had a nasal voice also the soft palate thing helped a lot
Thanks for a very interesting video. I've been seeing all your videos about singing lessons and I found them very useful. By the way I understand your reactions video are to attract people to you channel but sometimes would be good to see a reaction/analysis of some people not so mainstream but with great technique like Josh Groban.
I think you really got into my issue with the soft pallet thing, but I really did not in the slightest feel what you were talking about with the "ng" sound and the breath in.
I used to have an overbite and even though I have worn braces I still struggle to breathe out my nose from habit - this would have affected my pallet and trying to fix it
I’ve heard many many professional vocal coaches say to not hyper focus on larynx position, use the mask & your breath… it’s that simple… you actually need your nose as a resonator to an extent to NOT sound nasally. If you sound nasal it’s because you’re not placing your tone in the mask & nose!!!!! I think that’s what he was trying to say, I hope at least.
i was born with a bunch of health issues and my voice was really nazal from the start so idk what it is its not as bad when my nose is cleard tho but i feel like im stuffed somewhere in my throat or like the end of my nose its very confusing where this is but idk if theres anyway of permanently clearing it out
Imo, nasal voice is not always bad. We can see examples of famous and successful singers whose voices sound nasal : Sting and Celine Dion. Sting's nasal voice is so unique that we can recognize without seeing his face when listening to his songs.
I mainly breath through my nose. Holding my nose while singing has actually shown me that when I'm both singing and talking I'll be exhaling through my nostrils at times which causes what's been going on! I no doubt have some sort of nasil passage problem but I guess I have to refocus my nostril breath and become a mouth breather. At least until my doctor figures out what's wrong my nose 😅
I definitely sound like a little kid voice and noticed it goes up in my Adam’s apple, but Idk how to fix this. I tried what you said in the video but my speaking voice is terrible still and makes me sick every-time I hear myself talk on recordings.
Please hwelp me i'm having trouble using head voice i can't even do it i tried so many times but nothing i think because of my deep voice i'm having trouble to make the high pitched
I have a nasally voice and I've always been self conscious. Then I tried to stop talking in a nasal voice using the yawning suggestion (which in my opinion sounded better than my regular voice) and people were asking me why I was using a fake voice...!!!! 🤣 I still use the nonnasal voice on the phone at work and stuff but in my day to day life I'd rather my family and friends think of me as nasally than fake😅 Just something to think about
Is there such a thing than a fake voice ? They said it was fake because they’re used to hearing you with a high pitched voice. You could tell them that you’re working on your voice and chose to get it to sound less nasal.
Hello I love ur vids I apply all the infos u have given on us but sadly i cannot afford ur courses : < im broke and im just a 14 y.0 student BUT YEA THANKS BETTER THAN NOTHING
I was always taught to hum through a song I was working on -- I guess to get resonance going "in the mask." But lately I've been listening to my speaking voice on tape and getting horrified at how nasal it sounds. Maybe I'm taking this facial resonance thing too far. How much resonance should you actually feel in your nose bones when you're singing in a head voice?
I was born with a cleft pallet inside of my mouth and after they did surgery I no longer had a uvula. Also, my soft pallet cuts off and top of my mouth is all opened up right behind where my uvula would be. Can this be the cause of my high pitched, nasally voice?
Low-key was curious if I do the Ng at the end of song my voice is only nasal. Sigh I need some serious help or I'm gonna turn 22 and still sound like a little kid
Hi bro I'm from India and your course price is too high in Indian currency so please do something about small country student who can afford this course 🙏
Fun fact the oil oregano pill saved my dogs life and allowed him to live a few extra months! it does work wonders! he had a internal infection and nothing worked but that!
Is it possible to unconsciously cut off the nasal air while singing causing the lack of nasal resonance and sounding too nasal? Like I may not have a cold but I feel like while singing, I unconsciously close my nasal air passage causing it so sound like I have a cold even though I don't have one. It may also be the because in the past I thought that in order to stop singing nasal I should not breath at all in my nose just in my mouth, because of that I tried cutting all the air in my nasal passage and now I unconsciously do it. Even though in the present times I learned that in singing there's atleast a slight air that pass through the nasal passage, which is for the resonance. But now I am having a hard time not closing my nasal air passage.
Honestly I have the same issue. I believe, the musculature around the hyoid could be very tight not allowing your larynx to drop lower. The soft palate could also be too forward from the mandible alignment. I have TMJ issues and even had some trouble with swallowing that I had to massage out. I recommend massaging lightly around the cartilage (carefully) and see if you find any tension and massage and breathe
Mine is none of these. It only occurs when I'm trying to hit high notes. It sounds like I'm congested every time I sing even though I'm not. I have a slight tilted septum but the doctor said it wouldn't make a difference in my voice if I got surgery.
IS been one terrible for me. I love the sound of my voice when i have a cold, Because it sounds deep. Once the cold is gone I sound terrible... i a,=m ashamed to admit it I wish I could keep the voice and remove the aches of he cold
so, I have nasal polyps, sinusitis, rhinitis either of those issues are my problems, I need to find a cure I'm an artist and use my voice for everything, but can't make good music sounding nasally?
I only have an issue with “ing” “M” and “N” It’s like the air is struggling to get out of my nose via the nasal passageways. Too narrow passageways maybe?
When I close my nose, I can't speak letter M and N without nasal sound. How do I fix that? because it is impossible to speak those word without nasal sound.
I am not a trained singer but I do sing well except the nasal problem which is making it bad. Actually, I also have sinus and I went to doctor but it didn't make any better so I guess I can't get rid of it , now what shall I do to make my singing better...... I'm really confused and I feel very hopeless right now, please help me....!!!!!!!
I always wanted to know why my voice is very deep when I first wake up and it gets more nasal as I go through my day. Funny thing is that when I laugh I have a very deep voice like a movie villain.
5:05 omg i'm sitting through a cold with sore throat right now and i had to stop practicing singing 4 days ago :( i usually practice every day so this makes me feel like i'm losing all my progress at the moment. thank you i'll try that next time!
