You are very welcome, but this was all you. Most landlords would not do this for their tenants. The fact that you took the time and spent the money to get it done speaks volumes about your character. The world would be a much better place if everyone conducted business the same way you do. Very well done. Please stay on top of it though. Don't ever underestimate German cockroaches. Phase two should be done for a full year before you declare the building roach free. Thank you so much for the feedback. Very much appreciated. Be well my friend.
For anyone who may be discouraged by the length of the video, it's totally worth it. I even watched it twice and still found it very informative. Even if you're planning to get an exterminator, it'll help you observe whether they're actually fixing the problem, or just screwing you so they keep coming back for more money.
Man, after adding up all the costs, I'm more depressed than before about my situation. It will sadly take me months to have enough excess cash to do it, but this guy does seem to know what he's talking about. Wish me luck, y'all.
If you get this, please email me at guyspestsolutions@gmail.com. I did respond to this question, but it looks like RU-vid deleted it. They do that sometimes and I don’t know why. So sorry. Just copy your original comment and past it into the email. Also, please give me your RU-vid name. Be well my friend.
Time stamps: 24:16 - what kind of roach / where to look for them *Check kitchen and bathroom. 27:04 - how to start treating Phase One: dust (D-Fense Dust), liquid insecticide (Temprid FX), bait (Max Force Impact Gel Bait), insect growth regulator (Gentrol Point Source), clean (mop with NIBOR-D insecticide) 47:57 - Phases Two: Boric Acid (Boractin) and NIBOR-D Treat kitchen, then bathrooms, then all other rooms. Good luck yall
I have to thank you. I had an infestation in a rental unit i own and had a pest service come out monthly for a year. The problem kept persisting. After the tennants moved out and seeing more bugs i found your video. I took notes and made an Amazon list of everything you recommended. My wife was panicked so she called a new company to come the same day all of my products arrived. The tech looked at the products and said im going to be honest what you have is better than what my company supplies me with, youre better off doing treatment yourself. I got to work step by step and every day noticed less and less roaches. 2 weeks in we haven't seen a single one, thank GOD! Youre surely Godsend!! It was a bit easier for me to take the plunge and drill holes in walls since i had some patch and paint work to do anyway. Anyone on the fence gotta use these methods. Thanks a million for making this video!
Congratulations. Well done. Please stay vigilant though. Keep doing phase 2 for an entire year. Especially the IGR disks. The biggest mistake people make is that they underestimate German roaches. Do not give them a chance to reemerge. A full year of phase 2 is really important. Thanks for sharing. I hope that helps. Be well my friend.
Thanks! Well-deserved. You went above and beyond to help me protect my home and I'm sure you're helping thousands of others! That's a GOOD LIFE, GUY 👍👍
Thank you so much. Totally unnecessary, but very much appreciated. I am always happy to help. The greatest compliment you can give me is to pass me along to others who may need my assistance. Be well my friend.
Back in the 60's, we lived in a mobile home and we had a roach problem. They would scatter when you turned the light on. My mother got a bottle of a white milky liquid that had a brush inside. She painted it inside the cabinets and all the drawers, even in the bedrooms, and all along the baseboards. For about a week we would see roaches legs up on the floors and counters. Soon they were gone. For good. Whatever that was is probably no longer available. May also be why I'm now a goofy 64 year old.
It was DDT. A fantastic product that the patent had expired so no chemical company made money from making it. This video tells you straight up, it will be expensive to get rid of. Gosh, I wonder why. But the average idiot on the street will tell you DDT was banned because eagle shell eggs. Lol. That was fiction from the book "a silent spring" by Rachel Carlson. The public is so badly informed they don't know the difference between fiction and non fiction.
@@uptoolate2793Roger on that about DDT. I understand that after Rachel Carson’s hysteria over DDT, it was banned in Africa to control malaria-carrying mosquitos. This resulted in millions of Africans dying from malaria. I think DDT should be “reinstated” as a safe and effective pesticide. Perhaps it has been, but under a new name, you think? But whichever, I think Guy will want to include DDT in his arsenal to kill German cockroaches.
Pesticide regulations changed in the late 1990's and most pesticides were banned. The new requirement for most pesticides is that it must to be safe for children to play on after it dries. Most pesticides in use today have a signal word of caution, which is the same as common laundry detergent. A few have a signal word of warning, but that is not all that harmful either. Very few have a signal word of danger and those are typically not sold to unlicensed applicators. For more information on this topic, please watch my video on the subject. Link below. Be well my friend. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i7nLO6Js_3Q.html
I know a easy way to get rid of German cockroaches... It has an undesirable side effect. Infest the building with black Suger ants. They will kill all all of them... The downside is a ant infestation... you can then get rid of the ants. Unfortunately the roaches can reifest. The house they burnt I could have saved. Tent the house and nitrogen purge it. Nothing lives without oxygen. If it swims crawls hops flys or walks it will die. Of course this process is deadly to humans. Entering nitrogen purge is immediately fatal to humans. One breath and your dead. The upside is nitrogen is not poison. Once oxygen is reintroduced it can be immediately reocupied.
Thank you so much for those kind words Mike. Please let me know if I can answer any questions for you. German cockroaches are a horrible nightmare and I will do whatever I can to be of assistance to you. Be well my friend.
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question thoroughly. Also while watching your video on mice you mentioned you were a Vietnam Vet, Thank you for your service and Happy New Year!
Thank you so much!!!!! I just moved into a condo. They must have done a super cleaning because I didnt see any signs of bugs. We moved everything in and left for 4 days to my home state for a wedding. Since there was nothing that couldn't wait to be unpacked we left that until we got home. Got home to a cockroach infested house. They are in the boxes and every room in the house. They travel in through vents. The rental Co. Had pest control come out and I haven't seen one dead roach. I actually wonder if they even called a pest control company since i was working. Your video taught me so much. I appreciate you sharibg your knowledge because at this point I just want to leave with the clothes on my back. Im going to follow your instructions to the letter until I can get out of this lease and hopefully salvage my grandmother's antiques, my new furniture and electronics. You've given me hope. I know the odds of getting rid of them entirely because it's a condo aren't great but I'm going to do my best. Im putting screens on my Hvac vents as well. Hopefully spraying a 3ft area of wall and floor in front of my door will help as well. I'd appreciate any other advice anyone else can think of. I don't even want to cook or eat here. I'm sleeping with one eye open.
I am so sorry that you are having this problem. Please keep in mind that, if you have German cockroaches, then the units surrounding you also have them, and they are breeding in the walls as well. Since they will continue to come in from adjoining units, it is virtually impossible to eliminate the problem 100%. Still, all is not lost. If you do everything in the video, you may never see another cockroach again. If you do a thorough job with phase two, and you apply Nibor-D and boric acid every place a cockroach can possibly place its foot, then they will have no choice but to cross it when they enter your unit. Contact with these materials will result in death within several days, and that is not enough time for them to reproduce. Therefore, they will no longer be able to establish an infestation in your unit. When they enter, they will generally seek a hiding place as quickly as possible, so it is possible that you may never see them. If you do see them, you can be confident that they will be dead within a few days. The key to achieving this is thoroughness. Be sure to apply Nibor-D on all the baseboards and puff boric acid under all the baseboards. Never spray a liquid, like Nibor-D, over the top of boric acid. Always apply liquids first, dusts second, and baits last. Be sure to remove all the ceiling light fixtures and puff boric acid around the electrical boxes in the ceiling. Also spray the inside of the light fixtures, where the wires are, with Nibor-D. If you cannot remove the light fixtures, then spray Nibor-D around them on the ceiling. Make sure that you mop all the floors with Nibor-D, every time you mop. It is also important to spray the carpets as well. Nibor-D should be mixed at a ratio of 2.5 cups per gallon of water for mopping and spraying carpets. It should be mixed at a ratio of 7.5 cups per gallon for all other applications. Pay particular attention to the kitchen and bathrooms. It is very common in condos for the kitchen and bathroom walls to adjoin other units. The pipes are a natural highway for roaches to get into your kitchen or bathrooms, so make sure that you apply boric acid around all the pipes, in all cracks and crevices, under all appliances, and any other places where it will not be disturbed by people, pets, or air currents. Prior to applying the boric acid, make sure that you remove all the drawers, and apply Nibor-D inside all the cabinets and on the exterior surfaces on all the drawers. Remember, the idea is you want to apply either Nibor-D or boric acid on every surface where a cockroach can possibly place its foot and that will not be damaged by these materials. Trust me, if you miss a spot, the roaches will find it, so leave no stone unturned. I recommend that you watch the phase two portion of my video more than once, to be certain that you understand exactly how to do it. The better the job you do, the less likely you will ever see another cockroach again. Finally, after you are finished with phase two in the kitchen and bathrooms, be sure to seal up all cracks and crevices around pipe penetrations. No sense making it easy for them to get in from another unit. I hope that helps. Be well April.
My goodness! Thank you so much. I feel I am going to have nightmares but then again I am already living in one. Nothing I've done is working and so much money spent on foggers & spray 🤦♀️ I'm so glad I came across your videos.
Thank you so much for those kind words. Sorry for the delay in my response. RU-vid did not send your comment to me. I just found it today by pure luck. Please let me know if you have any questions. You can email me at guysyoutube@mail.com. Please note that it's just "mail" and not "gmail." Be well my friend.
Notes 📝 if someone was interested in them: Phase 1 Remove all sources of food Deep cleaning/ squeaky clean Appliances No food on sink Dust: D-Fense Dust $15 Duster Cost $7.50 Appliances, crevices Don’t make a big pile roaches don’t like it Temprid Fx 240 ml $55 Mix with water Sprayer Spray for even light spray on base boards Bait Bayer Maxforce Impact $33 But, most baits works well After a while they get resistant with bait Rotate the bait every 90 days IGR General Point Source $35 Under appliances Nibor-D $32 5 pound Spray on floor and on carpets before bed. Phase 2 Never looses it effectiveness Hollow Space: BorActin $16 Duster Stud finder, drill whole and dust inside Remove electric outlets And blow dust Hard surface: Nibor-D spray on all cabinets, appliances, spray under sinks, If its to wet use with rag, on everything- electronics, chairs, underneath tables, bookshelves, fans, furniture, air vents, walls, medicine cabinet, toilets, gaming consoles Always do liquids, let dry, bait last.
Start phase 2 in other areas besides the phase one areas immediately. You just do phase one in the kitchen and bathrooms or where there is a lot of activity. Wait 30 to 90 days and then to phase 2 over the phase one areas. By the time you do phase 2 in the rest of the areas, you can usually do it over the phase one areas right away. I hope that helps. Be well my friend.
Cliffs Notes (copy and paste for reference): Core idea: -Leave no stone unturned. Give roaches nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. -Treat 1 room at a time perfectly before moving onto another one. -Start with kitchen, then bathroom, and don't forget garage. ***Total estimated cost, Phase 1 + 2 = ~$449 - $514 *** (based on 10/24/2023 prices off Amazon or Walmart) Phase 1 ("Quick Knockdown") (Phase 1 cost: ~$231.50): -What pros typically do. -Need => baits, dust, insect growth regulator, liquid insecticide -Start with Good cleaning => 1) Remove all food sources (including crumbs, grease, etc) 2) Don't leave dirty dishes lying around. 3) Clean appliances as thoroughly as possible. (Top, bottom, inside + out) 4) Eat only in kitchen or dining room. 5) wipe sinks nightly to deprive roaches a water source Dust => D-Fense Dust (~$19) with Harris Diatomaceous powder duster (~$8.50) => fill only halfway. => puff into any/all cracks & crevices. => keep out of reach of kids/pets => dust before baiting to avoid contaminating the bait. => puff just a small bit per puff Liquid pesticide => baseboards (those "covers" at the top+bottom of the walls) => Temprid Fx 240 ml (~$60) => Mix in 1 gallon garden sprayer (~$20) (Follow directions). Few pumps for light spray. => Treat all baseboards throughout home Bait => best placed at cockroach activity => Maxforce Impact Roach Gel Bait (~$30) for 4 tubes. => IMPORTANT: change bait perioidically to avoid resistance. => place small dots about 12 inches apart near activity (appliances, range hoods, cabinet hinges, space between appliances and cabinets, inside of drawers, perimeter of outlets, pipes under sinks, post-its behind electronics Insect growth regulator => Gentrol (~$40). Break off disks, place near activity, out of reach of kids/pets. Insecticide => Nibor-D (~$54) = mop hard surfaces mixed with water (leaves residual insecticide when it dries) = also fill spray bottle, spray lightly on carpeting. = use everytime you mop, until infestation is gone. = might have to re-apply in the future if it's ever taken off. Phase 2 (Assume weeks for whole house, plus 12 months for bait/Gentrol changing every 90 days, and any time for re-applying Nibor-D): (Phase 2 cost: ~$282.50 if using Killz + ceiling paint; ~$217.5 if not) Boractin => 1lb (~$24) => Use another $8.50 powder duster with this, mark with sharpie to know which is which. => Use in all hollow spaces (wall voids, ceilings, hollow doors, inside attics around pipes, cabinets, appliances, furniture, outlets, etc). Flip over to get bottom also. Make small slits out of sight if necessary. -Nibor-D: with same garden sprayer as before, LIGHTLY spray entire attic. -Killz Interior Primer (~$45, optional, mainly if Nibor-D leaves wet stains). Paint with paint brush, cover with white ceiling paint (~$20, optional) Nibor-D in spray-bottle => -Walls/floors cabinets, pipes under base cabinets, underside of sink -Spray drawers, remove, spray under countertops, treat outsides of drawers too. -Spray appliances, cabinets, remove/protect food/food-handling equipment. -Avoid food prep spaces, wash off with soap and water if they're sprayed. -Spray near countertop splash guards and wall by sink. -Spray anywhere and everywhere you can (chairs, dressers, mirrors, picture frames, book shelves, fan blades, toilet, vanity, medicine cabinet) -Spray cloth to carefully wipe electronics *When using on carpets, either apply nightly and vacuum in morning, or spray carpeting around 4 inches from wall and furniture. *Also, be mindful of possible skin irritation, and don't ingest it. Bait => Like before, use Maxforce Gel (~$30 x 4, or ~$120 for whole year) Gentrol => Again, use like before. REMEMBER: replace with different bait, and replace Gentrol every 90 days, for 1 year.
Mannnnn thank you for this very thorough video, you didn't have to do this at all, and I swear it has been so informative and helpful If you put this same type of description in your current and further videos, it will automatically break them up into chapters. No extra work just the time and the description and RU-vid will do the rest.
I was a firefighter for 30 years in Miami. Your story about the F.D. hosing down roaches reminded me of how we would duct tape our boots to the bottom of our bunker pants to keep the roaches from runn>g up your legs while your crawling around in the dark. We'd check each other out when we come out of a fire and shake your gear to get them off of you before getting on the truck. As a firefighter you get used to getting blood, vomit, urine feces on you but all of that combined isn't as bad as a single roach on me.
Thanks for sharing that. I didn't know that firefighters did that. Very interesting and it makes perfect sense. Thank you so much for your service. Be well my friend.
Ha, never apologize for giving years of experience to people for free. If the cost of the information is a tiny bit of couch time, I consider that as inexpensive as it gets. Sincerest Thanks 🙏
This was long!!! But every second was worth the watch I now know exactly how to treat this problem and know a pest service has never really knew how to help me from the start I’m buying all this stuff right now and getting the ball rolling thank you again
Thank you so much for those kind words. I am very happy to see that you are going to get rid of your problem. The sad and almost unbelievable truth is that pest controllers do not know how to get rid of German cockroaches. I do have some pest controllers who tell me they are adopting this treatment methodology, but there are not many of them. It is going to take a long time before this treatment methodology becomes standard industry practice. So for now, this is something you need to do yourself. It's a lot of work to be sure, but it never fails. Please let me know if you have any questions, and I would be more than happy to help. Be well my friend.
For the ppl that may come to the comments before watching the video, please dont let the length detour you, this is a very detailed and informative video, not only do he tell you what you need,he also explains why you need it and how to apply it,well worth the watch
Thank you so much for that endorsement. You are correct. I even explain how to repair the holes in the walls that you need to drill. People do get concerned about the length before they know everything that is covered and what it takes to eliminate a German cockroach problem. I understand though. I'm not Tom Cruise, and the video is not exactly made for entertainment value. It's funny because a lot of people refuse to watch the video at first, but then they come back after everything else fails. Even professional pest controllers don't get it done. So, they could have saved a lot of time and money if they just spent 90 minutes to learn how to do it right. The interesting thing is that, if you read through all the comments, you would be hard pressed to find someone complaining that this method did not work. If you do it correctly, it is virtually impossible for it to fail. Still, I get it. This is a long and boring video about roaches. Not exactly date night material. Lol. Thanks again for the support. Very much appreciated. Be well my friend.
Mr. Gary, thank you so much for this video as we have a mixed infestation of German and brown roaches. We spent right under $400 for all the items, took detailed notes and printed them (also shared with townhome neighbors!). To start off Phase 1 we emptied our kitchen, laundry room/bathroom COMPLETELY to ensure every crevice was cleaned and covered with the products, filled in gaps, clean religiously with Nibor-D, ensured every single item we put back was cleaned with Nibor-D solution, and within 1-2 days noticed the roaches disappear. When they do appear they're usually swollen, have messed up wings, and are incredibly slow. Before Phase 1, we had roaches following our every move during night AND day. They'd crawl all overrrrrrrrrrrrr. The roach traps we had under electronics were FULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL to the rim with baby roaches+ (specially the fridge). Now, barely one roach on the roach Max roach traps. We are being incredibly meticulous (staying up wayyyy past our bedtimes) with the rest of the house room by room, inch by inch as you mentioned, and the hard work is paying off (just in time for family visiting for thanksgiving!). I no longer have to worry about roaches following the steam when I cook (they'd literary line up on the ceiling), getting into my food (we couldn't put ONE plate down and they'd even jump on hot food being cooked) or damaging our electronics (We replaced our German Roach chewed up brand new stove & expensive microwave). I am rewatching your video just to ensure I am not missing a single detail. My husband and I teamed up to start Phase 1, and can't wait to start Phase 2 once we are done! THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU thank you, thank you, thank you a MILLION!!!! I hope God pays you with longevity and good health. You're such a gem!
Hello back again, started using DE all around the house back in October 2023. We still have roaches but they are dying out. My tenants moved out December 1st, so I am looking forward to making the holes in the walls because they are definitely in there. I do wanna say I did purchase 2 of the chemicals you suggested. But since DE is more economical, I’m trying to use it until i don’t see anything for a long time. And clean up and then use the chemicals. Wish me luck, will report back.
I have never used DE, but I suspect that it can work. The key is still to be thorough. Leave no stone unturned. Also, using the Gentrol IGR disks is a must, especially under appliances and near all electronics. It is very difficult to defeat German roaches without the disks. You can mix DE with water and use it instead of the Nibor-D, but I have never tried it and I don't know the dilution rate. So you would be experimenting with it, which means the results would be unknown. Boric acid and Nibor-D are more expensive, but it's a sure thing. Good luck with it. Please let me know how it goes. Be well Julie.
ive been having such a horrible time with cockroaches for a few years now and im tired im seeing them during the day and thrive throughout the night and i have had it. i will watch your video and go through with everything you say.
No offense Guy, but you speak slowly and succinctly, which is good for many reasons, but... I watched your video at 1.75 speed. Much easier for me. Great information though! I believe I only have the American cockroaches. They are over an inch long, very big, and mostly come into the house after a lot of rain, or when the weather turns cold. I use roach traps, and also dust with boric acid and DE to manage them during those times. However, I am keeping this video for future reference. Hopefully I will never need it though!
American cockroaches are an outside roach and they do not usually survive well indoors. The reason you see them inside sometimes is because they are trying to escape the weather outside. Most of the time, they will just die on their own if you do absolutely nothing inside. They can infest your home, but it is fairly unusual. I suggest that you wait about a month before you do any treatment inside. If the problem persists, then you can simply apply Nibor-D on all surfaces inside your cabinets where you are seeing the activity. You can also puff boric acid into all the cracks and crevices. After that, apply any gel bait that you like in areas where you are seeing the activity. Just use small dots of the bait and place them about 12 inches apart where you are seeing the activity. To prevent the problem, you need to treat the outside of your home. You can simply treat the building, but it is more effective if you treat the entire yard. I will give you a link to my video on how to treat the exterior of the house and a link to my video on how to treat your yard. Personally, I do both of those things because, not only will it stop American cockroaches, it will also prevent almost every other kind of bug from entering your house. If you are treating your yard with a hose end sprayer, you can just go ahead and treat the exterior of your house with it as well. It is super fast to do it that way and it will not cause any harm to you or the environment. That being said, I have to tell you that you are not supposed to do it that way because it exceeds label recommendations, but it really doesn't hurt anything. By the way, speeding through the video is very bad advice. For this to work, you need to do it correctly. You are not spraying for flies here. If you have German roaches, then it is wise to take your time and learn all you can about the subject. It's not something you should rush through. You are lucky that you don't have them and I hope that you never do. I hope that helps. Be well my friend. Firstly, it's great to see you replying to every new comment. It helps alot. What happens if these roaches walk through my utensils with same feet that they have just used to walk over the insecticides and chemicals? Wouldn't they contaminate the utensils with chemicals ? What about mixing boric acid/borax with a food attractant like sugar or wheat which attracts the roaches to walk over the trap. Before i do this im worried about unwanted guests like ants which come in for the sugar.
I moved into an complex in Jersey only to find the apartment has roaches. I've been addressing the issue since my first night here with the management office. They only send out exterminators at your request and the exterminators are barely handling it when they come. Barely a month living here and cant go a day without seeing them. Thank you for your video I'm purchasing all of the items you mentioned to replaced what i broight before because its not working. I've found that there are neighbors here who are the cause of the infestation and the management office doesn't care.
I am so sorry this happened to you. That is a very common story. I have a modification just for apartments, but I cannot post it here because RU-vid will delete it. Please email me at guyspestsolutions@gmail.com and ask for the German cockroach apartment modification. You still need to follow the advice in the video, but the apartment modification changes it just a bit for instances where you have other apartments next to you that are also infested. The modification will explain everything you need to know. I hope that helps. Be well Shelly.
Don't apologize for this video! Thank you for all of the information! The woman before me, and my apartment neighbors have not been very clean. There are sooo many and these guys are ruthless! They were coming out in the day in an empty apartment! I used Ortho Home Defense and Niban, which was recommended to me by someone who works for an elderly home, and it didn't even make a dent! 😮💨Roaches are the bane of my existence and I am weirdly afraid of them, perhaps because they are so disgusting?🤔🤷🏼♀️
You apologized... R U kidding? Don't... it was Brilliant - Helpful- I've used your links to purchase... I hope you get the creds (). My skin is crawling with the heebie-jeebies... but MAN... the amount of knowledge & tips you've shared that the average FL homeowner doesn't know is colossal! SUPER generous of you to literally take the time to, not only share your detailed & helpful knowledge, but to actually create video content as well! I've watched about 5 of your videos on termites (brilliant!) and roaches... a never ending battle no more! I'm prepared for combat! ~Marine Mom - Miami native, FORMERLY cockroach clueless!! Thnx to you Guy!
Thank you so much for those very kind words. Very much appreciated. I cannot believe that, on top of everything else you are dealing with, that you have roaches. That is so horrible. Please let me know if you have any questions. I don't want to frighten you, but German roaches are the most difficult pest in the world to get rid of. So, do not hesitate to ask questions. I am always here to help, and it would be my honor to assist you. Be well Kim.
Maybe it should become a standard practice for the home builders to apply these chemicals such as boric acid before the sheetrock while the house is being built.
I appreciate what you explained, because it confirmed what I learned years ago and also more recently. In the early 80’s I moved into an apt that was overrun with these nasty German roaches. Soon after I learned about boric acid and the local hardware store sold the same powder puffer/blower you use, only they were $4 back then. I blew the boric acid powder everywhere 2 walls met, or ceiling and wall, and along baseboards. I also sealed the gynormous cracks under baseboards, because roaches were running under when lights came on at night. NO MORE ESCAPE! As the weeks went by, I saw more and more roaches, and in time learned they were just SO SICK they didn’t care if I saw them. They were suffering and at deaths door and needed water… They were getting longer and longer because they were bloating inside and their body extended beyond their wings. Then they began to pop open… At week two I thought they were eating the stuff and becoming more numerous, but they were just so sick they tried anything to get better. By week three they were legs up everywhere…and many were so bloated and popping open. By week 4 there was hardly even one in sight. I had eradicated them. I more recently learned about borax for insects, since it’s mixed with sugar and water and sold as TERRO for ants. So, I made my own concoctions to deal with an ant PLAGUE a couple of years ago. Now, an occasional roach gets in, but quickly dies, and I rarely see live ones. The only thing that does not eat my concoctions is spiders, but I don’t think they are doing well, because I just don’t have bugs for them to eat. I wondered if there was something else I needed to learn, but I’m glad to know I have been doing exactly what you prescribe as the best long term treatment to eradicate these nasty things. I live in an older mobile home, in the country, so once in a while bugs get in, or maybe come home in a bag of potatoes. My mom always said they got in many houses in bags of potatoes. Thank you for taking the time to explain how to fully treat even inside walls and furniture. Now we can get rid of them EVEN FASTER! I know some who are in apts like I was, and they need to know this. 👍😃
I finally started Phase 1 yesterday, and this morning i saw dead roaches everywhere and slow moving ones. It was hard work. We did it all day until 9pm. I have not mopped with Nibor-D but i will this morning! Thanks Guy!😊
I wouldn't expect phase 1 to work that fast, but I'll take it. Some of the products do kill within 8 hours, but the roaches usually die in their hiding places. So, you must have a pretty bad infestation to be seeing the dead bodies. The good news is that it sounds like you did a great job. Now you need to get to work on phase 2. Wait 30 days before doing phase 2 over the phase 1 areas. You can start phase 2 in other areas of your home immediately. Please let me know if you live in an apartment, condo, townhome, or other rental situation. Thanks for sharing. Be well my friend.
@@GuysPestSolutions hi im living in apartment but they let us drill holes as long as we patch it when we move out. Thanks im about to start phase 2 this weekend on 3 of our bedrooms. Just need to color match the paint!
Instead of drilling holes in the wall I would imagine that in a single story house you can get in the attic and drill holes in the top plates to put boric acid down the walls. I’m a plumber and we do that to get pipes from the attic to the fixtures. Then you should only have to drill into the drywall in the spots with the cross bracing
Thank you so much for sharing that. I love the feedback. I am so happy that it worked for you. Do you know that this video has been viewed over 400,000 times and has received over 3000 comments, and not one single person has ever reported that it didn't work for them? This method simply cannot fail if done correctly. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me that so many people have been able to benefit from this video. You made my day. Be well my friend.
Will Nibor-D kills any pests like spiders, silverfish, ensign wasps, etc…and all kinds of roaches? My friend has never had a problems until this year has gotten worse.
Nibor-D will only kill insects that clean themselves. Not all insects do that and spiders are not insects at all. Nibor-D works great for roaches, but it would be overkill for any other pest. Most pests can be prevented by treating the outside of the house. I will give you a link to my video on how to do that. This will prevent all of the pests you mentioned, including outside roaches that enter the house. It will not prevent German roaches. If there are ants inside, then watch my video on that as well. I hope that helps. Be well my friend. I have been taking notes. Did you know that if you hit them with a fly swatter, you break their legs? They may still be alive in the garbage a week later.
My flyswatter is my go to everyday. I live in an apartment and we receive regular treatments but these guys never go away permanently. I hate these guys. This is my first time seeing this guy and I’ve never heard such detailed honest instructions. This video is a keeper for future reference. Looks like I’ll be taking pest control into my own hands in conjunction with the regular treatments. Pest control companies don’t suggest the tenant’s use alternative methods. 😵💫
Hitting them with a flyswatter is kind of a Mafia tactic. Break their legs and let them die slowly. Lol. Still not a good idea though because they can still lay eggs. If you stop one, go ahead and finish it off. Be well my friend.
Hi...I'm in South Africa. Whenever I treat wall cracks and crevices, I usually spray Alphathrin around these crevices, then flush the roached of of them by spraying NuPro spray into the crevices (so the roaches go bezerk and run into the Alphathrin solution that was sprayed around the crevices...which kills them). In the kitchen, all dishes, pots and anything else in the cupboards are removed before the same process is done...drawers are also removed and treated during this process. Glue boards are left in certain spaces for monitoring. When I return for the second visit - between 2-3 weeks - I usually repeat this process when treating the cracks and crevices (for any potential hatchlings or stragglers from the previous appointment). Note: Here I use Bombex as the concentrate in my sprayer because it is a residual spray. Thereafter, I puff Permadust into the cracks and crevices before I seal them with either a crack filler, silicone or pur foam - depending on which would be best suitable. For cupboards and drawers, this (visit) is when I apply gel bait. I think I'm doing this process well...but maybe self-doubt has payed me a visit (even though I haven't had any complaints. Haha). Is there anything you feel I need to look into with my process? Words of advice?
Always nice to hear from a fellow pest controller. Thank you so much for reaching out to me. I can offer a couple of suggestions if you don't mind. The most important thing to understand when you're getting rid of German cockroaches is that they are living in the walls. The other thing it is important to understand is that you only see a small portion of them. The majority of them stay hidden, and they are not necessarily in the cracks and crevices that you are treating. Treating those cracks and crevices may keep them away for a while because the roaches that are in the walls and other voids that you have not treated, may need to come out through those same openings, and the pesticide you applied is likely to kill them. The problem is though that this is most likely not going to end the infestation. Moreover, it is possible for the roaches to become resistant to those materials. Therefore, I recommend that you treat those cracks and crevices with boric acid. This is a slow kill product, but it virtually lasts forever. If you like, you can do your normal treatment, and then follow up with the boric acid dust. Since the cockroaches are living in the walls, you need to drill into those walls wherever there is a void, and blow boric acid dust there as well. After something has been treated with boric acid, the cockroaches can no longer survive in that environment. Since cockroaches travel across surfaces, I also recommend that you treat as many surfaces as you can. It is always a good idea to use a borate product or diatomaceous earth mixed with water, and spray it inside all the kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, and such as that. I remove the cabinet drawers and I treat all surfaces under the countertop. If the roaches are problematic in other rooms, which is quite common, then you also need to treat dressers, beds, and all of that sort of thing the same way. It is also a very good idea to puff boric acid under all the baseboards. The idea is that you want to create a borate barrier every place where a cockroach can possibly place its foot. If you can obtain Gentrol IGR disks where you are, I highly recommend that you use them. The roaches do not need to make contact with them for them to be effective. You can place them under appliances, such as refrigerators, and around electronics that you cannot treat with pesticides. It takes a long time for the discs to work, so you need to replace them every 90 days for an entire year. However, there is no escaping them. This will take out the cockroaches that are in the motor of the refrigerator and inside electronics, such as TVs and computers. I realize that what I am suggesting is expensive. At the same time, if you follow all the recommendations in my video, you can completely eliminate 100% of the roaches in a building. Most people are not going to want to pay for this service, and that is why I usually target businesses. Restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and those sorts of places will often pay big money if you can totally eradicate a cockroach infestation. Since most homeowners probably do not want to pay for having the walls drilled and all that sort of thing, you could use a modified version of this treatment for them, but the client needs to understand that the cockroaches are inside the walls. If you do not bring the pesticide to them, you will never end the infestation. I would like you to watch a short video that was done by Animal Planet. It is only about 4 minutes long, and it does an excellent job explaining the problem. They do not offer any solutions, but they do a wonderful job explaining how the roaches operate. It is well worth watching. I hope that helps. Be well my friend, and thank you so much for watching my video. Animal planet video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RU9oOCYPros.html
That is correct. A list of the products and links to them are in the description of the video. You would treat an empty house the same way as a house that is occupied. Of course, it's much faster if there is no furniture to deal with. I hope that helps. Be well my friend.
It is late at night and I am continuing to hang in!! It is interesting and I have already felt you have educated your public! Thanks, what type of roach is big and dark! Before I go to bed, I will take my toaster and pull everything out for under all my sinks! I will continue your lecture tomorrow!
I have neighbors who are hoarders. I’m 49 years old and somehow have never lived with a roach since I was a child. I mentioned to the neighbor I saw a bug in my house, before I finished my sentence, she said ‘IT’S THE WOMAN DOWN THE STREET’ 🙄. Her hoard is 3 ft from my fence line. If they actually mow around their hoard, I KNOW I’ll see 30 roaches on my back porch. I could not be more DISGUSTED. I cannot eat in my home. I do not ever turn any lights off. I just sprayed so much viper pest stuff I have a headache.
I am so sorry that you are having this problem. If you are seeing the roaches outside, then they may not be German roaches. Please watch my video on how to identify cockroach species and see if you find a roach in the video that looks like the ones you are seeing. Try to catch one and put it in a jar or put down a glue board to catch one. You just need to get a good look at it. Different species get treated differently and most species are very easy to get rid of. If you let me know the species, I can tell you how to treat it. Be well Angel.
I am so sorry that you are having this problem. Please let me know if you live in an apartment or other multiunit building. I have a modification for those situations. Be well my friend.
You won’t have any more of them but then you can end up bringing them back into your home in brown paper bags and other ways too. That is why we are blessed to have you tell us how to get rid of them for good even if we unknowingly bring them in from other places. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your channel with us.
There’s a foaming version of Nibor-D that also contains an IGR, meant for tight spaces, drains, and voids. It should be on domyown called Nibor-D + IGR. It’s pre-mixed and can save you a bunch of time, but it can be spendy.
That is correct. It's quite pricey, but very effective. It is a fairly recent product, so it was not available when I made the video or I would have mentioned it. Be well my friend.
watched at 2x speed.Thank you for being articulate and speaking so clearly this was a viable strategy without using timestamps. Im gonna spread this vid. Excellent explanation sir.
A rent house had a ton in it. Looked just as bad as the pictures he showed. I evicted renter so nobody was living in it. Pest control came out. To speed up process I took sticky flat mouse pads & cut them up in small strips. Put them against splash board around sink, under stove, in drawers etc. They caught a lot & helps keep the population down. At night I get up & go over to the house. hit them with fly swatter. Suck them up with vac cleaner. It was winter so I had 1 electric heater turned on & surrounded the heater with the sticky strips. Every day I had to replace the strips as they were full. 3 mo later pest control sprayed again. I kept house empty for 6 mo just to make sure they were all gone. Yep. Thank you for your video. I think I will do this after renters move out so if the next 1 brings roaches I will have a good start.
If the house was empty for 6 months during the winter and the heat was off, and if you live in a cold climate, then that may have killed them off. Otherwise, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it is is unlikely that they are gone. The majority of roaches are hanging out in the walls and other voids and they never come out to play. They just stay in those voids and multiply. Eventually, some of them do come out, mostly due to overcrowding, and they begin the process of infesting areas that you can see. Like inside the cabinets, refrigerator, stove, and so forth. Unless you froze them to death, then I suspect that you will hear about them from the new tenant at some point. Most likely the new tenant did not bring them in. They were there already. My suggestion would be to do the correct treatment immediately. You will never get rid of them unless you treat inside the walls. Let me know if you have insulated walls. I forgot to mention in the video how to treat that sort of thing. I am so sorry. I know that you were hopeful about them being gone. I am telling you the truth though. Be well my friend.
@@GuysPestSolutions Texas. Heat was off except 1 electric heater I used as a trap to get them coming to it so they would get caught on the sticky strips surrounding it. I completely understand what your saying but I have no clue as to why this worked. New renters were told about the problem & they have never called me in 3 yrs. I’ve been over there several times. Pc told me they sprayed inside & outside. I wasn’t there. Neighbors said they had there houses sprayed right after mine. Yes has insulation in walls & blown in insulation in the attic. Please tell me how to do that for the future or make a video on it. Thank you sir! For anybody reading this I do recommend following his instructions. If or when I have them again I definitely will.
@@afaf3692 To apply boric acid in an insulated wall, drill a hole below the ceiling about 12 inches. The hole should be drilled at about a 45-degree downward angle. It can be steeper than that. Put a funnel in the hole and pour in about two tablespoons of boric acid. Next, get an air pump, like you would use to blow up an air mattress. Insert the tip of the blower hose into the hole and turn on the pump for a few seconds. This will cause the boric acid dust to blow throughout the wall void. Note that the hole may need to be wider than you would make for interior walls, depending on the air pump you purchase. However, it is possible to modify the tip of the hose with rolled up paper and tape to make the hose tip opening smaller. I am in the process of designing a cheap, home-made, electric duster, but I am still working out the bugs. No pun intended. This would allow you to blow a lot of dust into the walls really fast and it would disburse it very effectively. Until the design is complete, and the prototype is tested, this procedure is the best you can do, short of purchasing a professional electric duster. If whatever you did worked, then you can't argue with that. It's just that, if even one egg survives the treatment, then you are back to the races. Just one German roach egg can turn into about a million roaches in about 18 months. Is it possible that these were not German roaches, but rather something like oriental roaches? That would be an entirely different story. Most other species are fairly easy to eliminate. That would explain a lot. Be well my friend.
I had to let you know you are the only one who truly knows how to get rid of cockroaches. I must have watched 30 videos and of course tried all the home remedies. Nothing worked. The links you provided were very helpful. The poison from China worked really well. I did everything you said and they are gone. I thank you. You are a saviour.
What is this guy's info so I can send him a payment? Because man...I followed his info, I went from seeing 25 roaches per DAY to seeing 1 baby roach per every 2 to 3 NIGHTS!! I did exactly what he said to do, this information is super valuable. Using this method, I even got rid of spiders and outside roaches!!!❤👍🏽💪🏾
Thank you so much for those kind words. Very much appreciated. Never any need to pay me. I'm happy to help. Just remember to keep up the treatment. Don't be fooled into thinking the roaches are gone so fast. You knocked them down and took the wind out of their sails, but they will regroup. So, get on phase 2 as soon as you can. Phase 2 is going to finish them off. Don't ever underestimate these things. The key to success is thoroughness. Be well my friend.
Not just pest control but drywall repairs as well. Wish I had found your channel 6 or 7 years ago, I'm sure vast majority of people don't want to admit they have a roach problem Great information and shows me the area's I missed out on It's been a constant battle (long story) Is 20 Mule Team Borax OK to use? I already have that for use as flux. (typed before the last 3 minutes, thanks) From my observations, the German roaches , males are wider and shorter than females, they get darker as they get older. Do you think it's worthwhile removing wall plates around sockets and switches? (this has been going on so long I'm willing to try pretty much anything now) The one thing I found works 100% better as bait is Cherry Coke, they seem to love the stuff enough to drown in it! ( my stepdaughters daughter left a glass of it out in her room, next day it was 'full' of dead bugs so I bought a small bottle to test the theory, worked better than anything to attract them) I have to do all the work, stepdaughters are real good at complaining but not so great at helping with anything
20 Mule Team Borax is not going to work. You do need to remove all the outlet plates and switch plates, and you do need to puff boric acid in the electrical boxes, and into the wall voids. Drilling the walls is a must to get rid of a German cockroach infestation. Your walls are constructed with 2 X 4 studs that are about 16 inches apart. Each one creates its own wall void. So, you have these hollow spaces in your walls that are every 16 inches apart. The roaches may not be in all of them, but they are probably in some of them. The problem is that you do not know which of these voids are infested or how many. The roaches travel from wall void to wall void through holes in the studs that were made by the electricians that ran the wiring through the walls. You get the electricity to your outlets and switches from wires that need to be run through the wall studs. The holes that were created to allow the wires to pass through the wall studs, also allows the roaches to pass through as well. So, the wiring becomes a bit of a superhighway for the roaches to go from wall void to wall void. There are holes going up into the attic as well because they were needed to run the wiring for the light switches. So, there is really no way around drilling holes in all of these wall voids. Just start with phase one and take it one step at a time. You will eventually get through it. I am so sorry that you are having this problem, but keep at it and you will get there. I hope that helps. Be well my friend.
When I did this professionally, I would use an electric duster to treat the walls because you do need to put quite a bit of dust in the wall voids. Since electric dusters are very expensive, I did not include that in the video. However, I recently figured out a way to make an electric duster out of a cheap shop vac. I will give you a link to that video. In the video you will notice that you can purchase a reducer that will allow you to make a much smaller hole in the wall. The problem is that the reducer also reduces the amount of dust that comes out of the vacuum. It reduces the volume so much that it would take a long time to dust one wall void. I have now figured out a solution to that problem. All you need to do is remove the reducer from the end of the vacuum hose and put one tablespoon of boric acid directly into the vacuum hose. Then, replace the reducer on the end of the hose, and insert it into the wall. Turn on the vacuum and the dust will immediately blow right into the wall. If you are treating an insulated wall, then drill the hole in a downward angle so that the dust does not blow into the insulation. I hope that helps. Be well my friend. Hi there, last week I spoted a german roack in my house and it made me nervous that you said if we spot one, we have infestation, I live in a townhouse, been here for a while and didnt have no roaches, but recently a very unclean person left her unit and workers started cleaning and I start seeing roaches in my place, I have a poison called "talstar" I already did one application last week, now I am just finishing this video, and wait, something you said, that Nibor-D its borax? I have 50 lbs bucket of borax and I use it to yes, clean my clothes and mop, counter cleaning, even drinking, [dont worried, i know the correct recipe] by the way, i even ingest Borom in capsules etc, so, can I make the Nibor-D myself? I really appreciate your video and answer. A little note, before I move to this place, I did treat the inside walls with boric acid and diatomaceous earth, [which i drink it too for parasites 😁] not the boric acid, I have a research information that borax, borom, boric acid comes from borax.
@@GuysPestSolutions I appreciate that, but I continue reading your posts and saw there that I could do my own poison, I went through your site and ordered the borom and the bates. What I did wanted to know was if I could use my borax instead since it's almost the same thing, but again, I just ordered it and get it done, thank you for taking the time to respond. 🫡
Putting food in containers helps avoid getting in the food. Garbage needs to be in closed containers. Wipe all counters with Clorox wipes. Wipe sinks dry and avoid leaving water. I also use sticky traps under the stove and refrigerator. Keep the stove clean and lift the stove top clean once a month with Clorox wipes. Thank you for this video. Great information.❤❤❤
I lived next door to an apartment building that was overrun with roaches. When the last tenent moved out the new owners tented the place for a month, reshooting poison into the place several times.
DE kills anything with an exoskeleton. It doesn't kill anything without an exoskeleton. It kills fleas. Even if you don't dust the entire animal, fleas move around and get killed. For roaches, you can mix it with their favorite food. But even if you just puff it onto the floor, they will run all over it. They don't die instantly, but they do die.
@@TheFirstManticoreI believe that's the point, eventually the dust gets on their legs and spreads to the colonies.. and I thought DE blocks all their airways to kill em
DE kills roaches and you can mix it with water, but the dilution rate is unclear. You can also use it as a dust. I have never used it myself, so I cannot say for sure how well it works, but a lot of people swear by it. I hope that helps. Be well my friend.
I am sincerely grateful because; 1: You are the very first and only PRO on this topic I’ve learned from. 2. Your complete and in totality wisdom was like the nybor d or boric Acid for my brain, drilling first through my skull. 😆🤤 3: I’m pretty positive, I’ll never be the same ever again in my life Thank you for every second of the 1:28:22 you gave to all of us. I can honestly say Iwill love you for the rest of my life🌹 I might even totally enjoy drilling holes😳Everywhere possible. Question: while I have thought of burning down this house (not due to these home invaders) because it’s an rv/travel trailer. My Q: I’m also treating out side for beetles, roaches ( just in case) ants etc., on the ground under trailer around out past each joining neighbors ground. Both scared me, they were to happy when asked😳 Should I use the nibor d solution? My apologies for such a long comment. Although, I have to remind you I love and appreciate you so very much💫
You are very welcome. Thank you so much for those kind words. Very much appreciated. German cockroaches are what we call a domestic approach. They only live inside buildings, and you never find them outside, unless they are moving from one building to another. Although they do have the capability of traveling outside to get to another building, you usually do not see this behavior. There are outside roaches though that can come in your home, although this is somewhat less likely if you live in an RV. Certainly not impossible, but somewhat less common. You can put an end to all these sorts of pests by treating your yard. If you are staying at a campground, then that would just be the campsite that you are on. This will prevent just about everything that could be living on the ground. This would include ants, silverfish, earwigs, outside roaches, spiders, crickets, and a lot of other pests as well. I have a video that will explain how to do this, and I will give you a link to it. Please let me know if you live in a warm climate, such as a southern coastal state, California, or Hawaii. If you do, then I have some other advice that you need to be aware of. I hope that helps. Be well Kathi. You are very welcome. I truly do appreciate your comment. I know that you must have a pretty bad infestation if you spent 90 minutes watching a video on the subject. I'll bet that you have tried everything you can think of to get rid of these disgusting things with little success. Don't feel bad if that is the case. You are not alone. I can promise you though that if you follow the advice exactly as outlined in the video, you will end the problem once and for all within a few months. How long it takes will depend upon how long it takes you to treat the entire house. It can be a time consuming process. After the entire house is treated, the roaches should be gone in a few weeks. The products work slowly, but they never fail and the roaches cannot become resistant to the boric acid and the boron like they will with other pesticides. If you place these materials every place that a roach can possibly set it's foot, then they simply cannot survive. Also, these materials last forever or until you wash them away and they are perfectly safe to use. So, don't worry. You've got this. Trust me. It's going to be okay. Thanks again for watching and please click on that share button and share me with a friend who can use the help. I will answer any question, on any pest, at anytime, for anybody, even if I don't have a video on it and it's always free. I am always here to help. Be will my friend.
I just wanted to post on this video to say THANK YOU. We are 3 weeks into fighting these little bastards on our own. We initally had pest control come in but all they did was put advion in our kitchen and bathrooms and that was it. They went down in number after 2 weeks, but they had spread throughout our house during that time. After doing the other steps of Nibor-D and Gentrol, we are now getting to the point where we see maybe one a day. Even during the night time, which is wild. When we first started, you couldnt go anywhere in our kitchen or mainfloor without seeing them anywhere. We arent fully out of the issue, but i can now see a light at the end of the tunnel so i know when we start phase 2, we will get rid of them for good. For anyone out there whos reading this, follow this mans tips here. It gets worse before it gets better, but it does get better especially if you follow what he says. Nibor-D was a HUGE game changer for us. Within a week of putting that on our floors, we started seeing less and less much faster.
You are very welcome. Thank you so much for those kind words. Very much appreciated. I am so happy that it is working for you. The truth is that it can't fail. If you place a pesticide everywhere a cockroach can possible place it's foot, then they cannot survive in that environment. It's really just common sense. These materials are very safe to use too. Be well my friend.
My grandmothers apartment complex had a roach 🪳 problem. They found roaches under the carpeting 🤢. As a kid I couldn’t understand how a roach could survive under the carpet you walk all over during the day; wouldn’t they get squished? Roaches are horrible!
...an 11/10 seminar, you good guy, Guy!...please consider, that, recently, I bought coffee beans in a paper container 12" high, 6 wide and say 4 deep that was vacuum sealed...when opened, a thin, .5" paper border was left over...imagine a sideways 'T' about .5" from the top rim...I saw the inside surface walls are sprayed with a slippery, wax-like membrane which covers a thin aluminum foil robing the entire paper base... ...so, the german and american pests in this 250 apartment unit building mean that sticky square traps abound, and one, which was quite richly populated by examples of dead flittercritters, ended up dropping, unnoticed, into that coffee box...I was throwing them out when I noticed there was movement in the box bottom...I thought a few had chawed off trapped legs to get free of the sticky square and so, carefully, lifted and looked at its onmates, and, as I did, saw a dozen or so fully limbed examples which, I presumed, were rescue team members...( there's my little joke)...had been attracted to the edge of that box, had attempted to climb down into it and then been unable to climb back out and been captured, quite inadvertently... ...intrigued, I left the 'trap' on the floor and saw the number of trapped roaches grow daily, to the point at which, a week later, my conscience bothered me about being cruel to so many of the terrified little unableds and I took the box, with the sticky square, out to a field, far from the building and, in the cool of the night, shook the coffee box empty of the little flits...I checked the sticky square for possible escapers and brought both elements back home to see if the same type of trapping might re-occur...you know, rince and repeat... ...and it has!... ...this time I won't leave them alive outside... ...how shall I dispatch them and have you any experience like this?...I consider that pheromones expressed by the females may be luring to the trap any males flitting past...so, you know I think about turning that coffee can tower into a coffeeshop brothel of sorts...but the writing on the can is english and that would explain the trapped american examples...but the germans get trapped, too...does that mean they can read english signs?... ...ok... ...you're a really neat man, Guy, and I wish you, your family and friends joyful times...and I, like the whole world, admire the good people tending to the enforcement of your laws and the work of Justice in your amazing Nation and applaud and promote them vigourously at all offings from here... ...finally, I bet your last name is also french!... ...be well, good soul...
Interesting encounter with these guys. Thanks for sharing. The roaches were probably being lured by the smell of the coffee. I guess they have a hard time getting going in the morning too without a little caffeine. Lol. Be well my friend.
Hi, I have bought the temprid FX and I also have boric acid. My plan is to spray the Temprid FX in all the baseboards around the whole apartment. and put boric acid in the areas hard to reach. You can't imagine the amount stress and sadness this problem has brought us. I have called and emailed my landlord so many times and they always send someone that just sprays the kitchen baseboards and bathrooms and leaves. The roaches are so many that when I turn on the light at night they just scurry around. I have never had any problems with roaches until moving in this apartment. The whole neighbors have this shit. I don't bring my friends over because I don't want them to carry it to their houses. I also make sure to check my bags and clothes when going out, I freaking never wish this on my worst enemy. I am tired.
I am so sorry that you are having this problem. Unfortunately, you cannot simply use the Temprid FX and the boric acid. If you have any hope dealing with this situation, you need to do all of the treatment methods that are outlined in the video, exactly as I show you how to do it. There are no shortcuts here. The only part of the treatment that you cannot do is drill holes in the wall. Landlords tend to frown on that. Since you live in an apartment, then you are going to have the problem that cockroaches from other apartments are going to continuously enter your apartment. However, if you treat virtually every surface in the entire apartment, with either boric acid or Nibor-D, then there will be no place that a cockroach and go where they will not contact one of these materials. That means any roaches that enter your apartment are going to die within a few days, so you may never see another cockroach again, if you do this treatment properly. Apply the boric acid every place where it will not be disturbed by people, pets, or air currents. Everyplace else it must be sprayed with Nibor-D, unless it will be damaged by water. Mop all floors with Nibor-D. Spray the carpets with it as well. Nibor-D should be mixed 2.5 cups per gallon of water for mopping and 7.5 cups per gallon of water for spraying. The Temprid FX should only be used in the kitchen and maybe the bathrooms. For all other baseboards, you should spray them with Nibor-D and then puff boric acid under them. It must be done in that order. Do this to the kitchen and bathrooms 30 to 60 days after you treat with the Temprid FX. I recommend that you watch phase one of my video several times to be sure that you understand exactly how to do it. After you finish phase one, then watch phase two of my video several times to be sure that you know exactly how to do that as well. I cannot stress enough how important it is to do this procedure correctly. That is the only way it is going to work. I hope that helps. Be well my friend.
This is perhaps the 10th time I'm watching this. Prior to finding you, i had done my own pest control in a quadplex. Did the holes in the walls... everything except nibor d, which I'm now invested in. I sometimes see what i believe are straggler roaches. They come over to die, from other units. The unit across from me was really really bad. Seemed like roaches came out of nowhere after deep cleaning. . So i did your advice, over there, and is much better now. Still got the rest of building to permanently treat. Anyways. Thank you for sharing. Am interested in a bedbug video as i cannot see or find them but others have.
Thank you so much for those kind words. Very much appreciated. I do not have a video on bed bugs, but Solutions Pest and Lawn has a pretty good one. The procedure they show you in the video is very good. The only thing is that you need to be more thorough than they suggested in the video. I recommend doing this treatment in all the rooms and not just the bedrooms. Bed bugs can be in your living room as well, and even your dining room. So, you should be treating all the furniture. You should also vacuum and treat all the floors, and you should treat all the base boards as well. Also, after vacuuming everything but the floor, you can use a steamer to treat hiding places. The steam will immediately kill bed bugs. Get a good one that is used for cleaning and not for getting wrinkles out of clothes. The key to getting rid of bed bugs is to be thorough and treat absolutely everything. I hope that helps. Be well my friend. I've seen German cockroaches in grocery stores and other apartments or homes. However, I have never see a single German cockroach in my 5 different homes in my 70 years on this planet, until I arrived at my 55+condo at 78 years of age. 😅😅
Hi, thank you for the video. Can you tell me, once i do phase 1, how long do i wait to do phase 2. Also. the areas I'm spraying with powder in phase 1, is this the same areas I'm covering in phase 2 with the other powder spray?
If you get this, please email me at guyspestsolutions@gmail.com. I did respond to this question, but it looks like RU-vid deleted it. They do that sometimes and I don’t know why. So sorry. Just copy your original comment and past it into the email. Also, please give me your RU-vid name. Be well my friend.
Oh, yeah, the management blames the tenants for the roaches. I ran around outside a few years back yelling, "This place has cockroaches!" The management got mad at me because I caused them to have to call pest control. What????

I am so sorry that you are having this problem, but I love your sense of humor about it. Please let me know if I can answer any questions. I am always here to help. Be well my friend.
Of the 4,500 known species, only 30 are considered pests. Some species make good pets; the Domino species is quite popular mostly because of its different shape and colour pattern. It is also much smaller and can be kept in smaller enclosures.
Wow. You certainly do your homework. Some people do keep those Domino roaches as pets, but I'm not sure that would be for me. I think if I did that my wife would leave me. Lol. Be well my friend.
Hey Guy, You say to use Boractin....I notice the active ingredient is orthoboric acid......and I notice that boric acid has the active ingredient "boric acid" is there a difference? Can I use Harris Boric acid instead of Boractin? Because its half the price?
This is such a good video but I'm 80 and can't keep up with all he says. What a blessing if he could do this for me. Wow! Apt. Manager brings in exterminators but like this young man says, it doesn't get rid of them.. this is too much for me to achieve. But great information for some to be able to tackle. God bless
@@patriciabracker2619 I am so sorry that you are going through this. I wish I could do this for everyone, but my wife told me no more field work. Now that I am retired, she wants me all to herself. I can't understand it, but I guess she still likes me after all these years. Perhaps you can ask a relative to assist you with this. I know it's a lot, but roaches are bad. Very bad. Hopefully, you can find someone to help you out with this. Be well Patricia.
Are these chemical hazardous for humans? Sir I am very much disturbed from German roaches. I am midway to your video . I will follow your rules. Sometimes i feel like crying
I'm so sorry that you are having this problem and I understand how you feel. German cockroaches are a nightmare. None of the products shown in this video are hazardous to humans after they are dry. However, you do need to wear some protective equipment while you are applying the products. It is a good idea to always wear rubber gloves and eye protection. When applying dust or when spraying any liquids, it is also a good idea to wear respirator. The idea is that you don't want to be breathing this stuff in or getting it in your eyes. However, after the dust settles and everything is dry, then you can touch any of these materials without fear of getting ill. In fact, all of these materials a safe for children to play on after they are dry. The only exception would be the dust. You should only apply the dust in areas that will not be disturbed by people, pets, or air currents. Other than that, you will be just fine. If you live in an apartment, then please email me at guyspestsolutions@gmail.com. There is additional information that you should have if you live in an apartment. I cannot share it here because RU-vid will most likely delete it. I have no idea why they do that, but it seems to happen a lot these days. When you email, please give me your RU-vid name, and simply ask for the German cockroach instructions for apartments. Please allow a couple of days for me to answer your email because I am a bit backed up with emails right now. I was on vacation for 2 weeks and I was not able to answer any emails during that time. I'm quickly getting caught up, but I am still about 3 days behind. I hope that helps. Be well my friend.
I know, SCARY Truth, But The truth Hurts..... Damn!!! At least he's doing his part to help Humans!!! Because cockroaches can kill humans with their bacteria to a certain point.
Thanks! It's been 2 months since I started the treatments. I have not seen a roach in 3 weeks. I even put down a trap at week 4. Only one baby roach was trapped at week 8. So when should I do a second treatment? Thank you very much!!
Omg I’m freaked the fuck out now. 🥹 I haven’t seen any in days but I’m in an apartment and I’m scared I’m never going to get rid of them. I have sticky traps out every where and haven’t had any in days, almost weeks but I’m terrified now :( watching your video but, not I’m just freaked out. When you said “millions” I about cried. The apartment complex has had the exterminator come every week and the first night my sticky traps where covered in them, then the babies started to get caught in the traps and now I havent seen in a few days/weeks but now I’m panicked. I just hope that I can keep them down and I hope when I move I can make sure I don’t take them with me. I’m terrified to even use my kitchen. This is scary!
