BORIC ACID BOILED EGG YOLK AND SUGAR.. MIX IT TOGETHER AND PUT IT IN CABINETS AND WHERE EVER YOU CAN... I PROMISE YO WILL NOT HAVE ANY ROACHES AFTER 2 WEEKS ... DONT FOG THEY ONLY RUN TO ANOTHER UNIT AND COME BACK.. ROACHES ARE DEFINETLY COMMON IN THE SOUH.. I LIVE IN FLORIDA.. GREAT VIDEO
That’s a old school bait recipe that can work if the infestation isn’t too bad. You need to be careful how much boric acid you use in the mix, too little and it ineffective, too much and the roaches can detect it and won’t eat the bait in large quantities
It’s called pest control for a reason. You will never get rid of them completely. They move around from house to house. Everybody has roaches rather they know it or not. They don’t tell you this. Get the syringe and squeeze a pea sized bait everywhere you can think of. Cracks, holes, in cabinets, bathrooms and kitchen. They survived for millions of years. It worked for me.
If it’s a decent company (they do exist) you can get rid an infestation completely. The problem with German roaches is that they hitchhike on different objects like boxes, luggage, shoes/clothing, ect.. to get to new locations. IT’s especially bad in apartments because neighboring units can be were the original nest are.
how i got out my lease. my first apartment had roaches, spiders, earwigs, silverfish and ants. maintenance would bomb the apartment, that did nothing, they bombed it about 3 times until i said look bombing isn't working. i noticed how uncomfortable the leasing agents got when talking to me about roaches in front of potential residents. That's when it hit me. Every time I would see they had a lot of cars parked outside the leasing office i would go in there and just start talking about all the roaches i got and how bombing ain't working. i did this every time i saw a bunch of cars, EVERY TIME. Once they had enough, I said then let me out my lease and the leasing agent agreed to do so on the spot. I found a much nicer apartment that week and moved out,
Glad you got your problem resolved, but the problem, is that they may hide in your appliances. So when you move, they could move with you and start an infestation where you moved...
@@ErikMier. I'm living the same nightmare in Montreal, I moved 2 months ago, they treated before I moved here, but still see one roach every now and then. Now I'm caulking and using foam to seal every single hole in the apartment and hoping I won't have to start a court case to get my lease cancelled.
@@x87alpha1I have a problem with cockroaches after 7 months of moving there, I saw 3 in 3 days, they were in my bathroom/kitchen drawers & I am so depressed
I just signed the lease and turned the power on and I was looking around the apartment thinking I found a nice spot for cheep. After about 30 minutes of looking I found a bunch of roaches under the fridge.
I am sorry that you are going through this. I know of some luxury apartment complexes that have a roach problem... it's the dirty people that make it hard to get rid of them.
My husband and i just moved into a townhouse. Our patio is plit in the middle and shared with a neighbor. We are 30 days into our 13 month lease. We have 6 kiddos and three of them have asthma. We began to notice roaches and i mean really bad. I bought things to spray and that took care of them for the most part. The inside of our home was getting better. One night i was about to leave to get my husband from work and i noticed roaches through my back patio door and they are all over the patio. It is so traumatic. We finally noticed the source is our neighbor. They live so nasty roaches are all in there home and windows. I feel helpless. My husband works nights and that's when they come out back through the patio. Maintenance came to seal the door but nothing is really working. We literally duck taped our back door shut i can't even enjoy my patio. I'm in tears writing this because seems pest control it's not helping. They want to fogg our place but my kids have asthma idk what to do. We have a while to be here. Any advice????
I'm sorry to hear that. My father has asthma so I know how difficult and delicate this medical condition can be. Talk to a doctor and find out if fogging the unit would affect your child's asthma. My father's asthma is triggered by emotions, not dust or cold weather. I found that hard to believe but that's the case, his doctor told us that. The only other solution is to break out of the lease. Read your contract to find out the requirements, it is unfortunately an expensive option though. Good luck!
24 hours, get a hotel room and get the results you have to get. After that it's going to clear out...God bless you and your family, Jesus loves y'all 💖
If a apartment gets roaches. Unless your place is spotlesss. They will comeback. Because they live in the walls. Things like no food anywhere expect the kitchen. Then the kitchen has to cleaned everyday. Say with bleach. No dirty dishes left out every! You mite get away with that in a house for a while. But not a apartment you are fighting your neighbors not just the bugs.
It's not just being clean, it's moisture. We have a bunch of moisture absorbers around. And I dry the dishes. Moisture tends to be in apartments if there's a dryer. So ventilate well.
What if it’s spotless and there hasn’t even been anyone even living there and the apartment is empty and they’re still there 😭 we just moved in a new place today and the lease is already signed and there’s roaches 🤢🤢
@@Thehumansmilyface It's your neighbors and you are screwed. If they are in the walls new or not. You will always fight them. But you can keep them at a very low number. Just have to be super clean.
@@Thehumansmilyface If your unit is not the issue, then your neighbors are. The walls are probably infested with roaches. I had the same problem, that's why I found fogging helpful since it kept the roaches from coming into my unit. Fogging won't eliminate the roaches, but it will keep them away for about 6 months. Good luck!
It’s so unfortunate that people are so embarrassed to admit when they have roaches, because usually the result is that the building does not get adequately treated and the problem persists for years. It can be extremely frustrating for those of us who are actually trying to eliminate the problem.
Alpine WSG pesticide spray rotated with Transport Micron. These are mixed in a pull sprayer per manufacturer guidelines. These are non repellant sprayed as the repellent ones drive them away when you want to actually kill the roaches. Advion gel bait, Advion cockroach baits. These are pro level products. Your goal is to kill the roaches and also have them take the poison back to their colony. A multiple step approach is needed to get rid of roaches. Another big issue is if there is pet water and food out, cardboard boxes and clutter. The main activity areas are usually the kitchen around the island, refrigerator and other appliance as well as bathrooms. When you move into a new places always treat it for roaches and other insects, etc along with bed bugs. Have a monthly regimen and assume always there are pests in the house. Using proactive measures is the key to control and preventing an infestation. If you have any questions please ask I’ll be happy to assist you! I’ve been in the pest control trip business for 20 years.
I hope that fogging the unit works for you. You may notice that the roaches are more active right after they Fogg since it drives them crazy... But after a few weeks they should be gone for a few months until you have to Fogg the unit again. It sucks dealing with dirty neighbors and greedy landlords.
I'm going thru this now except in my new house. I'm heartbroken & hating life. I've only been here a week & I'm trying boric acid. Smh.. I guess I'm going to war too💯
A house is easier to deal with than an appartment. You don't have to deal with nasty tenants next door. Roaches like to travel whitin the complex unit. Hire a professional BUT make sure to keep an eye on them so that they treat your house the right way. Confront them if they are not doing what you want them to do. Good luck! 👍
I bought a few packs of catchmaster mouse and insect glue boards, placed 2 behind the fridge right under the outlet, one on the kitchen counter in the corner and the other under the kitchen sink and caught quite a few. I also have raid ( the water based and fragrance free one) and a fly swatter from the dollar store for the ones I can see running around. I also dropped a teaspoon dollop of cheap plain peanut butter in the center of the trap for good measure. Total cost $12. Roaches love to live inside the dry wall behind outlets so set the sticky boards near them.
IF YOU WANT TO KILL ROACHES TRY THIS! THIS WORKS! 1. Clean your house 2. Try to declutter 3. Purchase ORTHO FIRE ANT KILLER. It's a powder, carefully sprinkle this powder Around your entire ahouse. Focus on every baseboard, behind every fridge, oven, couch, bed, toilet, all furniture. ( please read the precaution if you have small children or pets). Leave the powder down. Repeat in two weeks if you have a major infestation. THIS WILL KILL ALL ROACHES IN YOUR HOUSE! Gel baits, and baits are helpful but it did not work for me. The exterminator came twice and treated my home but I still saw them 😢. Roaches hates this stuff, they will leave your house/apartment.
@@KCRUBYWOOscreenshotted your comment so I can try this. Found a 5 bedroom townhouse for 850 a month, can’t pass up that rent and gotta deal with this bs
@kcrubywoo mentioned using ORTHO FIRE ANT KILLER. I agree with that, do it inside AND outdoors when it is dry. For an added bonus: if you live in ground floor, lavender and citronella plants near and around your soil grounds are both natural repellent for roaches. They also keep your soil from ponding water, as roaches are more active when it rains.
Fogging doesn’t generally kill all of them. Many survive and just move to other units until the pesticide break down. Quality roach baits like advion, syngenta, or maxforce with a good perimeter pesticide like temprid works best. Most can be bought online but always remember to never spray on or near the bait or the bait becomes useless. Also make sure to watch the instructional video that manufacturers or quality pest control companies put out to know the proper placement of baits and pesticides
I have roaches. My rent man put the black roach things in the kitchen. I sprayed the home defense upto 12 months spray about a month ago and on July 20, 2022. So, I have sprayed twice with in the last 6 months but the roaches have not stopped. I saw a roach crawling on my kitchen table in the kitchen. When I first moved in this duplex apartment I saw a few spiders but no roaches. I started seeing roches about 4 weeks ago. I sprayed the home defense spray about maybe 2 weeks ago.
@@tyann.moore.1827 ortho home defense is a okay retail product but many use a lower concentration of active pesticides or German roaches developed immunity.Basically you with never wipe out German roaches completely and have to keep buy the product forever. The most effective solution is quality gel bait pair with a quality perimeter pesticide. Combat or raid baits are the least effective.

I literally just moved in my town house and I’m pissed I never had roaches and these roaches or huge I told my landlord and they said nothing I’m so mad
Landlords or may I call them “slum lords “ really don’t care 🤷🏽♀️ about their tenants only the money. Yes they do act like they never knew!!! Lies I say!!!
Call the city 🌆 your in and they will fine your landlord. The city will also give him a certain time to fix the problem. Hold your rent until it’s done.
From what I've read fogging pushes them into the walls for a while and doesn't actually get rid of them, using a non repellant spray is probably the way to go but the pest control they hire at apartments they'll have them just in and out and not even spray where they're supposed to
I bought my own spray at Home Depot named "Ortho". It works, but you will still see them around and you cannot win the war when you live in a multiunit complex. The fogging didn't kill all of them but it sure kept them away for 6 months at a time.

Omg it smells like azz 😂 I also bought gentrol. We haven't seen any since but I plan on laying it down again. We are in a 8 unit tho, not a house and just got them from people that moved in a few months ago. Before this we were here for 9 years, no bugs! Thanks. :)
Hi I'm aware of this product Ive used it for what is intended, ants ! In the back yard. Anyways with that being said I know it's for that use and it's for outside use as the label says. But my question is how do you deal with the smell. I know it smells rough so how does that work since your putting it inside your house. Another question I have. How do you use this if you have pets will it be effective if I only place this in high places of course. I'm thinking in corners. Since I can't sprinkle it around. I have a kid and pets . It's not just adults who can avoid the product.
What’s with these American apartments having roaches? I have never heard of this in Germany. But I know our apartments / flats have a totally different wall. They built it thicker. So even if your neighbor is dirty and has roaches, they can’t come to you. I could never live in America. I habe a bug phobia😂
@@jasonweishaupt1828 of course we have roaches. But just normal german roaches if u have a lot of food and dirt for years. in big restaurants. but i never in my live heard, saw or had roaches. I've lived in my condo for 9 years. Black dude on the left, black family on the right, then Asian family on the right. All presumably American, at least first generation. When they sold the black dude's condo (on the left), a slumlord bought it. He housed five grown adult males (Mexican that didn't speak English if that's relevant, I don't know)... Well ever since they moved out... Which they moved out for not paying rent and driving drunk, etc. (HOAs have rules) We have seen three roaches in our condo. Another Mexican, english speaking family moved in like last month... I'm guessing they moved out since the place was infested with roaches... Idk, the guy had a job, so I don't believe he's like, a big m or a refugee or anything. Well they moved in ANOTHER family... Like six of them. African family. They arrived with all donations. I assume they are refugees. But anyway, they don't have money to treat that dirty condo. And as long as they don't treat it, we will never get rid of them! The rent is $1,700 for a two bedroom. Not cheap by any means. Anyway, the answer to your question would be people that clearly don't mind bugs and slumlords who move 50 people every other month in a two bedroom in the suburbs and fail to treat the apartment. That's how we get roaches.
Man same thing at my apartment. But my management actually had the nerve to say that I brought them in here and I’ve even went down to everybody’s apartment. But I have a neighbor next-door and we’re both doing warfare.
I have tried all kind of poison gels and poison baits and nothing. Also all kind of insecticide and poison sprays and nothing. I’m losing the battle here in Miami. I will try now filling the cracks with caulk.
I understand how you may be feeling. Try fogging your unit and caulking the cracks, but keep in mind that roaches like to go through the electric outlets as well. I would recommend using baby plugs for the outlets that you don't use. Fogging your unit won't solve your your problem forever, but it gave me periods of six months where I barely saw them.

I appreciate your comment Crawley. It's difficult to kill all the roaches that live in a 16 unit complex when you are the only one poisoning them. Therefore, I found Fogging to be the best option. Fogging kept them away from my unit until my lease was up. Some tenants are disgusting and they won't help you fight the roaches.
@@ErikMier. I understand. Everyone must buy in.. but really do the gel because it will decrease the population.. must rotate types of pesticides but uts possible for u to get the friends and family if u do all the steps: boric acit powdering, then tiny dots of Decon gell everywhere
Just moved out of my first apartment to a townhome. And had to get rid of a lot of my things.. just because I didn’t want to risk it. It really is traumatic because I lived with them for atleast a year when I was like 12 y/o then they come back all these years later.
I agree that it can be a traumatic experience. It took me months for me to stop looking at any little brown spot and not hiking that it was a roach. I'm glad you made it out. It was a smart move to let go of some of your things to avoid contamination of your new place.
I have never been in an apt that doesn't have roaches. It's amazing really, even this luxury apartment I'm in, nice and remodeled and it's full of them?
Bengal roach spray works real good.. its hard to find i have found it at Home Depot and walmart..i just found out they make foggers toovand i would get orthen fire ant killer powder as well as gel bait
I just moved into what I thought was an almost luxury area in Virginia. I got my keys, left came back that night and the roaches were having a party in the kitchen. I went to Walmart and brought foggers last night. Pest control is coming to spray water next week. How often is it safe to fog? I'm soooo embarrassed and beyond frustrated. I'm here for 12 months, but it can't come fast enough.😢
I know your pain. Pest controll are the ones that fogged our unit. The foggers that you get at the store are not as strong. That's why we had to sign a waiver and it could only be done every 6 months.
Signed my lease. Went to go see the apartment full of roaches smh I don't even move in until the 31st and pretty mucj told me I can't break the lease without a fee nor can i get a proper exterminator in before I get keys smh
I'm sorry you are having to go through this. I never got my own exterminator, I used theirs.. but I told them that their spraying was not enough and I demanded something else from them... that's when the manager suggested fogging the unit.
I've moved into an apartment recently and the building is infested. I've never dealt with roaches before this. When I contacted the apartment they sent out someone who just sprayed the corners. They are crawling on me at night now and im not sure what to do
I'm sorry that you are going through this. The first couple of nights we slept in a hotel. The management office sent us a guy that sprayed a few spots but that didn't work. I spoke to the office about breaking the lease but the manager told me that it was impossible, read your contract. Often times you are able to break the lease but you'll have to pay a fee. I spoke to the manager and asked what' was the best that she can do for me, and she told me that they offered fogging but that I would have to sign a waiver since that stuff is toxic. Do your research and figure out if that's something that you'll be willing to do. Fogging controled the problem temporarily for about 6 months. Then I fogged the unit again and eventually moved out. You'll never be able to kill all of them with sprays and powders, but fogging keeps them away from your unit. I wish you luck.
Fogging is crazy dangerous for kids right because when you fog the chemicals gets on everything right? I’m asking because I just moved in a apartment and the roach problem here is bad when it’s night time and your walking to your apartment unit you will see them crawling in the grass and in the side walk and on the building, I called for a exterminator and all they did was put combat down and there babies everywhere in the kitchen thank God it’s only in the kitchen any suggestion on what to do because I can’t fog I have two toddlers that run around everywhere and the combat gels aren’t working
I am not a medical professional nor a pest control expert. Therefore, you should consult your doctor and a professional pest control company for accurate advice. All I can tell you is my experience... At the time I had a 4 and a 7 year old plus a small dog and my wife. We never noticed any sort of residue from the fogging. And like I said in the video, the pest control company did the bare minimum until I told them that I wanted something stronger. That's when I was told about the fogging by the apartment management. I personally was more worried about powders, gels, and sprays than the invisible residue of the fogging. Besides, the fogging is what kept the roaches away. I don't believe that they were killed, but it sure kept them away. Good luck!
Use Ortho home defense spray, spray on base boards and up in the corner of the walls. Do it every week for 2 weeks then every 3 weeks, then every month. The spray has no smell and is not harmful to babies.
I did since I had the situation under control. Before I moved into the appartment in Houston, I fogged the unit. This kept the roaches away. Otherwise, I would have had to get rid of the furniture or clean It really good to avoid trouble in my new unit.
My issue is the person im living with doesnt want me to actually do anything remotely useful. Cant foam any holes because "QQ the landlord" >.> Cant get any decent products because that would be too easy. Cant even leave baits anywhere relevant because the dog might learn how to teleport and unlock doors in the AM hours of the night?.. Nope we gotta ring the exterminator and get run through the ringer just to end up with the same shit anyway. Fucking love it.
@@JayH1931 it doesn't cost that much, plus you don't have to buy the whole bottle. The bottle probably costs around $200 Max but you can buy packs for $20
