How To Get Rid Of Wasps Around Your Home
www.rovepestcon...
If you are wondering how to get rid of wasps and aren’t seeing results from what you have been doing, there are a few steps you can take in addition to reaching out to a professional pest control service.
Common places to find wasps and more about the life cycle of wasps
You might find that year after year you are having problems with wasps. Most people think this is from wasps re-using nests repeatedly, but that is not the case.
Wasps like to build nests in the same types of areas each year because they fit common criteria factors. If you don’t change the environment where they are building their nests, you are bound to run into issues again and again with wasps.
You might overlook wasp nests early on in the spring season because they usually start off rather small. Most nests will start with a single queen and as her eggs start to hatch the available workers increases and the nest can dramatically start to grow in size rather quickly.
There are several places that wasps can build nests you should be on the watch for. Wasps tend to build nests in locations that are out of reach and will usually be left undisturbed.
This could be in eaves in your roof, hidden under decks, in attics, in trees, bushes, etc. In addition to this, if there is easy access to wood that’s another advantage for wasps. Wasps actually will strip wood off of things like fences, shed walls, interior wood, and trees to build their nests.
They create a sort of wood pulp from chewing the wood and create a paper mache kind of substance that they then build their nests out of.
Trying to get rid of wasps on your own can be very dangerous. Wasps are rather aggressive and they tend to work in packs and can end up aggressively stinging you in group attack. We really recommend hiring a professional pest control service because they will have the proper tools and training to safely remove wasp nests.
If you do decide to try and tackle a wasp nest on your own, there are a few things you should do to keep yourself as safe as possible. First thing to keep in mind is that if you do anything be sure it’s at night.
When you try and get rid of wasps during the night, it will give you an advantage as most of the wasps will be sleeping so the likelihood of being attacked can go down. In addition, you are more likely to have the bulk of the population at home base to increase the effectiveness of your efforts. There are various different kinds of treatments and products you could use to get rid of wasps.
Whenever you are placing product around wasps be sure to wear long pants and sleeves, and gloves and basically anything possible to cover your skin. Stuffing your pants in your socks for example is the kind of thing you should do.
Overall we really recommend that you have a pest control service handle wasps as they are one of the most dangerous pests you can encounter around your home. Beyond just painful stings, a lot of people can be allergic to them as well, which can be extremely painful and even deadly.
The dangers of removing wasps on your own usually don’t make it worth trying, but the main thing you should focus on is prevention and keeping wasps out to begin with.
The first thing you can do is focus on exclusion, which is sealing crack and voids around you home. For example people don’t often realize that when they have openings for wasps to get in, they most likely will.
They can get under siding around your home, into attics, wall voids, etc, and if you seal those, it give wasps less opportunities to build nests around you home. Unfortunately, there are some areas where they build nests that there isn’t much you can do about such as along windows, eaves on your roof and more.
At this point, you should focus on other things that can attract wasps. The major factor to focus on from here is their food sources. One thing to keep in mind is that they often will feed off of other pests.
Wasps feed other insects to their larva and in turn these larval wasps produce a sugary substance that the adult wasps eat. Keeping other pests in check around your home can aid in reducing encounters with wasps. Along side of that, with spring already here and summer quickly approaching, being attentive when you are eating outdoors is important as well.
Overall we really recommend that you focus on prevention to keep wasps away to begin with, but once you do have an issue, you should play it safe and reach out to a pest control service to keep your home safe and wasp free.

Very knowledgeable on your wasp knowledge. i am truly inspired. i hope one day i will have completed my course on entomology and exterminate all wasp from the face of the earth. i generally like collecting the wasp, and proceed to slowly torture each one and see which lasts longest. the winner in then sacrificed to the master of rove pest control. we are all one nation, one species, one big family... rove pest control army

I have a two story club house sort of thing, we use the bottom floor for storage and and the top floor for hanging out. I’m an artist so I’ve been painting the walls of this building (inside) but it’s all made of wood, 10 year old wood. And every year I get a couple wasp nests which I’m not happy about because I’m really really scared of them. I’m looking for remedies to keep them away all the time.

I've captured one underneath the bottom of my coffee cup. I was going for a squash but didn't realise there's a tiny gap under there. He sounds well pissed off too. I guess that dirty coffee cup it going to be there for a long time...unless I forget.

I hit them with brake kleen it kills them instantly not like raid that lets them die slowly. Its cheap and plentiful leaves no residue and you can get them from a ways off. The fumes get them in tight spaces pretty well.
