Nice video. The MX is my gimbal of choice as well. Love the color grading on this. Note that the Moza app on iOS is a more full featured than it is on Android.
How did you get those additional camera ‘slide to select’ and manual focus settings?! My moza genie app doesn’t have this or does it look like the one you’re using?!
You can create the dolly or AKA vertigo effect with the gimbal by pushing in and zooming out at the same time or vice versa. I usually zoom-in before i start with the effect and then move forward while zooming out. It works best with the ultra-wide angle. Make sure you shooting in 4K so that you wont lose detail when zooming in. You can also create this effect in post as well, by digitally zooming-in or out.

Hi Benett, I'm thinking of getting this model, so thanks for this awesome tutorial. I'm making a documentary, and for this I'll need to do selfie-videos of me talking to the camera whilst walking, so instead of flipping to front camera which has a poorer quality camera, is it possible to swivel the gimbal head all the way around to use the back camera and Moza's face tracking feature to ensure I'm still in shot? Or do you think for selfie videos it's not worth the hassle? I appreciate your expertise. Cheers
Thanks for your comment! If its a documentary i would say its worth using the wife lens on the rear camera. You also might consider getting an ultra-wide lens for a larger field of view to not be cut put of the frame. I wouldn‘t use the gimbal app, its best to use filmic pro were you can use the highest bit rate for better video quality. If you want a tracking feature the best option would be to go with the hohem isteady v2 gimbal as you can use the tracking feature with any app. Hope that helped :)

Benett! You da man, that's excellent advice, thank you.
How can you activate it on your samsung s10 plus? i am stuck on the activate mode and it keeps asking me to activate but doesnt show any option what bottom to hit or what
@@BenettGraezer Thank you for your quick response, But sad to say its nothing in the list, But the specs of Vivo V19 Neo already Andriod 9.0(Pie), Hope you Can Assist me about this, Bcoz i have plan to purchase this item. Thanks much
I recommend contacting MOZA if its not on the list. I haven‘t used it with your particular phone so i‘m sorry to say that I can‘t tell if its compatible. Good luck 👍🏻
I think both are really great gimbals. In terms of stabilization they both do a great job. Its hard to tell which is better since they are both packed with features. A deciding factor could be the price since the Moza cost less.
Enjoyed your video work and tutorial. I have a mini mi and use an Oppo phone which works OK but has some issues on the mini mi. I recently got a new Oppo Reno 2 Z which is a greatly improved camera. It has a potential issue due to its camera position in the top half of the phone and centred in that position. My old phone was in a similar position to your apple but the gimbal could be seen sometimes in the mini mi. How will the new oppo be effected on the new gimbal throughout its motion range. Any thoughts on this.
The buttons on this gimbal are quite clunky. Every time you stop the recording, I recommend waiting 2 or 3 seconds before stop, as you will have a lot of noise otherwise. Also the zoom in and out is too rapid most times. Also needs very careful use of the joystick knob because it easily moves too quickly. Since the upgrade on the Moza app, many people had user issues, and less options. I recommend contacting Gudsen via their support email to ask for a link to the previous version of the app. Download that if you are a past user, or install it for a trial run to see the differences. Be also mindful of the on/ off button - incorrect clicking just turns it off and then you need to set up the whole interface again, as your settings will not be saved and connectivity will be lost. You have to exit the Moza app to be able to open and reconnect vai bluetooth. Very frustrating when this happens
Hi Badshah, just head over to this link: benettgraezer.com/smartphone-filmmaking-guide/ to sign up. A link will be sent to you to download the guide :).
Hey great video! What kind of phone case do you have on your iphone? Mine seems like it's too big for the phone holder but I'm clumsy so I don't want to take my phone out of the case in order to shoot :( Yours looks like it fits.
Thanks Marena! I am using the LiteChaser Pro Case by Polar Pro in the video. Its a bit pricey since it comes with a polarizer and ND Filter. But it fits well with the Moza MX.
@@BenettGraezer Do you have a link where I can download the moza genie app? The one in playstore is different from the app you were using in the video. Tia.
The newer phones are compatible with the Moza Genie App. Its better to check the compatibility of your phone. In some cases 60fps isn‘t supported by the app.
Ordered the Moza Mini MX today. My first step into videography. Love your polished step by step tutorials. I'll be returning to your channel for advice. Subscribed and rang the bell. Peace my friend!
You can use the filmic pro app, just with the gimbal itself but its not compatible like the OM4 where you can use the buttons to adjust settings in Filmic Pro.
Yeah thats kind of a bummer! But i hope Moza will update that in the future. In that case i would recommend using another video app like filmic pro which gives you a lot of control as well.
@@BenettGraezer thanks buddy .... its good to talk to you....❤️ moza just updated the genie app but more buggy ... i will use filmic for now thanks alot
Its best to check the compatibility first, when using an video app. Some apps just don’t support certain functions especially with smartphones that are not so popular on the market. In this case its best to use your nativ camera setting.
@@BenettGraezer Google is not Apple.. and Android is not Ios in terms of developing, it's too easy for developers work on Ios because an app have to work on a unic OS.. Android is parte of Google but you can find it on billions of smartphone and that's the reason of 30fps locked on Android... Same thing with DJI osmo mobile.. the best gimbal solution on android is Zhiyun Smooth 4 with Filmic Pro (it can record at 60fps and full compatible with smooth 4 buttons)
