I can still remember vividly finding you first sobervid here on RU-vid. It really hit me hard back then, because I could relate to so many things and your brutal honesty and vulnerability touched me deeply. I became sober a short time afterwards and now I’m well past 500 days. Never going back to the misery that is alcohol.Thank you for having the courage to share and being honest back then. You really made a difference in my life on so many levels. Sending you much love and gratitude from germany. Chris

@@jazminerice7866 You CAN do it Jazmine, you have to realize that alcohol is just liquid poison that is not doing anything to add positive value to your life. After a few weeks you will 100% feel so much better. Sleep, mood, anxiety, relationship with yourself and others. You can only win. If I may, please check out the book "alcohol explained" by william porter. It is a great guide on how to quit and helped me a lot in understanding what was going on with me.

11 months sober here!!! I DID actually find your channel firstly through your few getting sober videos in the beginning and they did help me out quite a bit. Even though your content is not very sober oriented I do consider you and your channel to be in my sober circle because even though you don't talk about it much you show what folks can achieve during sobriety and what they can have moving forward. Keep up the great work with sobriety and this channel!

Awesome video!!! Great job dude!! I'm one year sober January 15th, 2022. Life is so much better. And yes, being a drunk is so expensive. Unbelievable. I dranked for 40 plus years. Had 3 DUI's over the years. Married 4 times, just to mention some of the misery I went through and caused. I was done..... Don't ever want to go back to those horrible dark days... Take care P.s. I threw in the towel, a year ago, January 15th, 2021, and went into rehab. Best thing I've ever done.

I was sober for 4 months then I replaced!!! I’m not giving up! I was depressed in sobriety because of personal issues now I relish that alcohol makes it wore! Oh and by the way congratulations on your sobriety!!

Im a MLADC Counselor and Mental Health Counselor for 25 yrs now. I cant tell you how refreshing it is to hear a success story. In my line of work I generally have worked with treatment resistant folks, (probationers, parolees, DWI's, court ordered, DCYF parents) and so rarely saw successful soberiety. I came to the conclusion that anyone who had remained sober wouldnt need treatment so I was only seeing the other side. Congratulations on your hard work, sobriety is hard and complex despite the KISS model, (keep it simple stupid). I only wish my 61 year old sister had found soberiety early on, she was an alcoholic from the 1st drink at 15 and will likely die from her disease. So sad. Thankyou for posting these, it gives me hope for all those who struggle with any type of addiction.

Nice lighting, congrats on 4 years. I was doing well for like a week or two then ended up drinking a few drinks... just a little but it was enough to remind me why I don't drink anymore. It's weird not feeling in control of yourself. I've never had a 'problem' per say but sometimes I go overboard, way overboard. I've had to keep going knowing I'm gonna lose a few friends and people along the way. But for the way I feel staying sober I wouldn't change that for the world. I know you feel obligated but I know these videos matter. I personally don't feel like there's enough of these types of videos on RU-vid (that are relatable) and your first video on the topic was the first one to really hit home for me. Also sometimes old video's don't come up on RU-vid as often so it's good to have a refresh and keep up with the algorithm ! :) Happy 4 years, here's to another !

Good stuff. Sept 9th 2018 for me. Diet is very important when beginning recovery. Let me begin by saying congratulations! I found your channel today (10/17/2021) while looking into more info about Van-life, and I gotta' say your safety, security video was as forthcoming as I have found anywhere. At my age I felt it time to "just go, and do" while I can, and with information like yours, and others I can better decide which direction to take. You said "I just want to live", and my friend you most definitely are. You're also a fine example of what determination means. " .. you will surely meet some of us as you trudge the road of happy destiny. May God bless you, and keep you until then". All the very best to you, and yours!

Congratulations on hitting another major milestone. It's very inspiring! Hopefully when you post your 5-years-sober video next year, I can comment and say that I just hit my 1-year-sober milestone :)

Thanks for posting these videos. I'm now 30 days. Still feel guilty because I do dummies but I use them mostly for sleep.

I will always remember the same date since that is when I went on the first date with the now ex wife who tried to ruin my life before I escaped. Congrats on 4 years it's not an easy task.
