Thanks so much for putting up this video. SO MUCH info but got it cleanly in under 15 minutes. As I transition from free Windows Paint, your video quickly gets me up to speed on things I kind of already know but don't know how Corel Draw does it. Also as I learn from great RU-vid teachers such as yourself, my graphics artist abilities should immensely improve in no time at all!
Great video for beginners! I just would like to mention that cutting PCV (vinyl) with laser may be extremely dangerous because it generates very toxic and corrosive gases.
@liam devlin Well, I know quite many people who smoke for like 20 or even 30 years and still haven't developed the cancer. But would you risk to say on that basis that smoking is safe? I don't think so 😁
@liam devlin The vapors generated when cutting PVC are mainly hydrogen chloride, which is toxic and corrosive, so they should not be released into the atmosphere, but should be cleaned in activated carbon absorbers. Maybe your employees won't actually get poisoned, but everyone in the area will be breathing this toxic stuff... Also in many countries it is illegal to release toxins into the air, so better check you local law before getting into troubles.

Hello. I just ordered a cheap 40k laser cutter. I'm shopping a coreldraw and laptop to operate it. I'm lost! I've seen the system requirements for say, the coreldraw home/student 8. I'm wondering if I could use an older version such as video suite x5 I found cheap on ebay and then I could get an older laptop to run it? Perhaps I should use a new version and get a laptop to run it? I just want the ability to cut letters from wood. I'm hemorrhaging money in my relatively new wood shop. I wish I could find the path of least resistance to run this laser cutter. I called corel and they know nothing. They tried to sell me on a $500.00 product. I was dumber after the call.
Hi I have a similar issue with the same type of laser cutter. Have you found a solution? Core 12 and the corel laser just doesn't seem to work for cutting
What is wrong with all these "how to" videos ? We know how to use Coreldraw. I want to know the steps on how to cut from coreldraw......not to see how much time you can use on making this video , neither to see how clever you are. This video was a total waste of time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
