How To Get Started With Home Assistant Green is the topic for this video and we will discuss both getting started for new Home Assistant user or users that want to migrate their existing Home Assistant instance to the Home Assistant Green.

When Migrating from an existing Home Assistant Instance to the Home Assistant Green, please make sure you update both servers to the latest version and have them both on the same version of Home Assistant. moreover, migrations can always go south and break, so keep you "old" Home Assistant instance and backfile on hand for several days even after the migration.

Using a simple pin-on body microphone will give you fantastic sound. The room acoustics are creating too much reverberation. You have good stream of thought, to words otherwise good video!

Hi there, good video. I moved into a house with Insteon light switches but have no way to control them as the previous owner left me with no info. Can Home Assistant Green detect my switches and help me control the "smart" lighting system that I have? Thanks for any help you can offer.

with a lot of smart switches, you can reset them by turning on and off 3 times or more and it may appear for re-pairing. mainly guessing here

I think you have paid enough attention because in 4:35 i am clearly said that up until this point that starting fresh. After that point is what you need to do if you want to migrate an existing instance
