This video will walk you through How to Get Started With Journal in iOS 17.
Journaling can be a helpful way to record your day and capture your thoughts and feelings about memorable moments, both personal and professional. One way to create and maintain a daily journal is through Apple's new Journal app.
Automatically available on the iPhone with iOS 17.2 and higher, the Journal app offers suggestions for journaling based on your photos, videos, music, podcasts, and locations. Alternatively, you can write about whatever is on your mind.

Thanks for a great video. Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with lung cancer. I have both radiation and chemo and I use the journal app to keep track of my appointments. It is great for this.

Hi Ellen I really like your videos so this is just a thought not a criticism. When I started this video I could not find journal and tried App Store to no effect. Then realised I may not have update. I didn’t and am now updating. My suggestion is start video by showing where to check you have latest upgrade first. Thanks again for your great video. Nicola

0:22 I updated to iOS 17.2 on my iPad but I didn’t get the journal app with it. Is there somewhere else I can download it? Thanks

As of now it’s iPhone only. Hopefully iPadOS 18 will have the journal app.

Thank you for the informative video. However, it would easier to use on.a Mac and iPad version. Even with my iPhone 13 Max is difficult to use the keyboard. Also, I lose my phone, even more personal information is lost to a stranger. Like the idea, just don't want my stuff portable in a phone.

Your data is safe if you have the lock turned on. They started with the iPhone because most people have that device with them all the time. It will probably come to the iPad and Mac maybe in iOS 18.
