Thank you for putting these videos together. They are helpful for somebody like me who has no knowledge about farming but still wants to leave the city and start my own farm. Looking forward to learn about how to design a farm and what kind of crops to sow in the beginning.
Hi Aanandaa Permaculture Farm, I really like your channel and this particular video is so timely for me. I'm about to make an offer on a piece of land and I've been day dreaming about fabricating my own concrete poles onsite. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Really thankful to you , sharing your experience's , knowledge , your's dout's, time by time what you have gained , losses what you have experience ❤️❤️❤️🙏
So iam currently in sync with your videos. Purchased land and now i was looking for to do fencing of my firm. Thank you. Hope to see full series of this. Plz talk about grey water n black water as well and how to manage it.
Yes, our next video will be on water management, stay tuned to this channel! Until then, catch Manisha's Ted Talk if you haven't watched it yet! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C7xUUHc4vYc.html
@@sindhug7012 I have purchased land in Maharashtra. Every states has it own land purchase rules. More or less you need to be farmer anywhere in India to purchase land. Buy only agriculture land. You cant buy adivasi land. Make sure you do search report,Titlte report of land. Do local research for price. It takes efforts and patience to buy land. All the best.
@@sindhug7012 i bought 4 acres. You will have to look for budget in your location.Rates vary place to place even in same area. Road touch water availability electricity etc makes price difference. You should check locally with agent.
Thnks a lot...its a very appreciated project and by this vdio you introduce us with it. I realy want to mention that you cover all the points very clearly with deep good explination its ur strong point. Of course want to learn more from you, your heart touching reality with nature is shining in ur ideas. Thnks a lot mam...🙏🙏
I really like and appreciate ur knowledge, efforts and willingness to connect with nature after achieving the so called worldly parameters of being a successful person... I would really like to meet u someday in person..but I would actually leave upto nature to arrange that..in case it's supposed to be... keep doing the right thing..and the right people will appreciate 👍😘🤗
Thank You mam its a much needed video for us...thank you soo much to you and your team. One question can you plz give an ruff idea about the cost of burbed fencing per ache? And can we plant cactus around the fencing to make it more secure from animals and intruders?
Have you used fencing only for the entire property or used a combination of wall and fencing ? Like, some people use wall on the front side of the property and fence for the rest.
I want to do fancing for my field 3 hactors I want to put cement pole and chain link fance of 4 feet I want to know how deep my cement pole need to go inside the ground and how many inches in diameter my hole for the pole I will fill the hole with cement Remember I chain link is 4 feet
@@farmaanandaa No intention to hurt. Sorry if I did so unknowingly. I was looking for whr to get the concrete pole , whether to buy or make, tentative cost etc. Thn electricity- is ita single phase / 3 phase line, cost, whether transform is a must, what's the borewell motor capacity, how much it cost, entire piping cost in farm etc etc, how many servent quarter, what's the room size, how to make the low-cost toilet and bathroom for workers, sources of drinking water, where to go gor open well , so so so many things that one must know for setting up the infra.
Good that you live in civilized society, I couldn't Post picture, my total fence of 3acre was destroyed by unknown culprits, huge loss as the fencing pole was broken by hammer and axes, this is story from Jharkhand

Your series makes educated urbanites consider working a small farm. Hope you will tell us as you go along, whether and how a scaled-down venture in an acre or two can be worked mostly without external labour, using tools, equipment, within permaculture.
"Makes educated urbanites consider working a small farm" - this is our aim! We don't expect farmers to covert to permaculture overnight as they are more often than not dependant on their next harvest. You have hit the nail on the head! Have you watched Manisha's Ted Talk yet - we think you will like it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C7xUUHc4vYc.html
Mam I'm a Doctor and I'm willing to start my own Permaculture Farm , can you tell me how much financial investment was made by you to build your farm ??
It's a very capital intensive project, very difficult for middle class average folks even if land cost is excluded Also you mentioned that you were doing full time job along with this farm would be nice to know how you managed both
You can decide how much capital you want to deploy. You can do little or lots. You can start your own saplings or buy from a nursery. Or make a proper fence or just pile up thorny bushes on the periphery. So you decide and work within your budget. We put our management degrees to use, and did lobg distance supervision. Set clear goals from the team on the ground abd held them accountable. We visited once in 2 months and covered specific projects like building a pond or a garden or planting trees. It all worked out well.
Isn't Anandaa too young for a food forest to be profitable cash wise? On the other hand the health, emotional and environmental benefits should be in double digit earnings :)
@@daniyafahim2764 This model is inspirational model for farmers only if it can be profitable Otherwise it is good for rich people for there dream forest life
I am serching land near our native for implementing the same for our 2nd weekend destination /homr for ultimate peace of our life. But surrounding land is most costlier as all are agricultural land rather barren land. But land searching is wip and do follow ur footprint to fulfil our ever nurtured dream. Actually my wife is eagerly waiting for the long awaited and most anticipated green environment for our own to take a fresh breathe . We know that it would take for few years but we live on hope to do our ultimate goal.
@farmaanandaa Namaste Manisha Ji, main bhi apki tarah permaculture start karna chah raha hoon. Mere kuch apprehension hai like , Kya mein yeh kar paunga? Kay main isse lively hood kama pau nga? Muse kheti ka koi experience nahi hai. Mere paas Ancestral farm land hai. please guide.
Thank you for sharing such a valuable information. I am moving to a new home, with garden space.. your videos are helpful. If you can share some insights on how to prepare small space for new gardenl.
Do you entertain visitors. I dream to start a permaculture, I haven't started earning yet, but after having earned enough to start a permaculture , I will definitely do it, insha'Allah.
Mam, I must first complement you on your youthfulness! You are brimming with energy and liveness! (Something only 40+ would understand!) You look stunningly beautiful to me, for you have aged wonderfully. More so, I appreciate your thoughtfulness. Eventhough this is the first video of yours I have watched, your words from experience are unmistakable. Your attention to details is remarkable. The tips with explanation, pros-cons with logical reasonings not only reflect on your thought process but also a certain willingness to do good. Wish you all the best!
I like watching your videos. I have a wealth of knowledge in this sector and may join you in making these instruction videos once I get my farming and agricultural land in my hands. Thank god for good people and family lineage for knowledge and humanity. Peace and Blissings
Thanks for taking out your time and sharing video for the peoples like me who are interested in permaculture and planning to start in coming years.. I will be eagerly waiting for the next video on design and planning. Thanks again.
Mam your videos are informative but I have one concern because a large number of farmers in India speak and understand local language like (Hindi) and the most of English speaking population living in cities and they don't do farming so in my view if you could speak in our regional language it would be better for your viewers thank you
I am an aspirant in this line. Your videos give me inspiration. Please keep motivating all of us. Who knows, India might get rid of Chemical farming one day.
Madam ! First of all I congratulate you and your spouse for opting and working on such an environment-friendly venture. Kindly throw light thoroughly on how much land you had acquired and the total price of it if someone wants to acquire a few acres at today's prevailing price. Thanks in anticipation of an answer covering all components of my query.
@@boysputnik great.. the world would be much much better if everyone starts practicing permaculture.. it will be self sustainable and also make earth greener.. 💚🌱 Aanandaa permaculture farm is doing a great effort.. 💚🌱
Step by step, very good at human psychology and behaviour, humane, Madam has clear insights and has permanent solutions for every probable situations. Never before i watched any program fully. But in this case if i do not listen to her each words, i will feel ashamed of myself. A big salute to you
Almost about to finalize on a piece of land and while browsing through your videos i find them still very relevant and useful. Thank you so much. I also would like to do the permaculture course with you very soon. Thx.
Good to know about these basic infrastructure details to build the farm... In fact we are inspired by your farm and strated our own in similar size in Andhra... following your all videos.. need some more help in creating the infrastructure as we just started this year .. please share your contact number or mail I'd , so that I can contact you direct ... Thanks a lot
Thanks Mam for sharing such details full of informative, definitely very soothing and pleasant for nature loving persons. I am planning to set up a farm at Bangalore outskirt and looking for a like minded, nature loving, friendly business partner. i wish....i will be successful one day in this.
Great Manisha. I want to start a branch of Aanandaa Permaculture in Tamilnadu. I can assure how much you are interested into it.Really appreciated. I love to live like this for the rest.
Is it feasible to use beema bamboo as a bio fencing? If we can plant at a distance of 4ft from plant to plane and give a width space of 3ft, within 3 years it will make a wall of 30 ft.
Hi, we are so impressed with your attempt on developing a permaculture farm. You are an inspiration for new starters... just a quick query what is the name of the plant(climber) which is grown all over the walls on your farm house. It would be great if u can give us the name. Thanks,
Thank you! Very valuable pieces of advice. One question, do you allow your farm helpers to reside at the farm? Or do they go home to their houses everyday after work?
Brings me to mind a previuous video i watched on your channel....did you already have a fence when your neighbor cut down your bamboo(?) tree because it's shading his crops?
