Nothing more therapeutic than buying a jersey off DH Gate when your drunk, forgetting about it and then a month later being surprised by a Zidane Centenary Juve kit
@@OPTIC23100 nah man got this years LFC jersey with all the badges and Henderson on the back for 15€ lol . It’s kept fine in the wash too. Also the 86 away with Dalglish on the back
@@lifeof1515it’s not real, their all like the same price, nobody sells authentic jerseys for those prices, and their replica’s. For example the 22/23 Man City kit on their site, the “City” word is slanted touching the circle around it. Their good reps but their not real.
I'm glad I got my M and M direct order in before you put this video out. Stayed away from the Umbro Athlete fit stuff, because I couldn't find any details online about how tight they were. If anyone has bought any and knows the armpit to armpit measurements of Umbro athlete fit, the info would be handy. Looks like Ellis missed out on a superb Gremio alternate shirt that used the same template pattern as 1990 Northern Ireland.
Problem with ebay now is that more and more people are starting their auctions at the price they want for the shirt rather than at 99p or whatever, so it's becoming harder and harder to find amazing last minute bargains. The classic football shirt market has become saturated and more and more people are jumping on the bandwagon. And I've noticed this change only over the space of a year or so, it's quite recent. As for the hidden tags, sellers hide them because 95% of the time ebay takes down listings where they're visible as being counterfeit even if the shirt is genuine. I've had genuine BNWT shirts flagged and taken down as counterfeit even though they weren't and as a seller, there is literally no arguing against them. Ebay definitely isn't what it used to be.
I have a question. I am in the USA and buy most of my jerseys on ebay. I focus on Adidas jerseys from the 2000s. I am curious why so many of the sellers of jerseys from that period on Ebay are located in Ukraine. How or why did so many of these jerseys end of there. So far, of the 10 or so that I purchased from there are all legit authentic jerseys. They are good at sending pics to confirm their authenticity before I buy them. I have purchased jerseys from Bulgaria, Poland, and even Lebanon, but there seems to be an abundance of sellers in Ukraine and I am just wandering if anyone knows why. Thanks.
I’m Ukraine we have stores of used clothes, that come from Europe and sometimes, or even often then that, you can find there some pricey items. So basically people in Europe give away their clothes to buy them back later from eBay.
TYSM Ellis. I just started collecting footballs shirts but I didn't have that much money but then I saw this video and I used your ebay tricks and I started collecting shirts for really cheap! TYSM Ellis, you are amazing.
@@awaydaysfootball I have 5 shirts on the way: Darfur United, Brooklyn City FC, 2013 Madureia GK shirt, 21/22 St. Pauli pre-order, and an Irish Villa supporters shirt that raises money for Alzheimer's awareness
I need this video but for shorts & socks. Collecting full kits looks so cool (not to wear, just to collect) but finding shorts is next to impossible, let alone socks
I brought a long sleeved centenary ac Milan shirt the other day that I'm pretty sure is real. However I also brought a Barcelona 95 shirt of Depop that I'm now thinking might've been listed as authentic by mistake
that misspelling tip is great, i misspelt Hardy Boyz and got a hardy boyz t shirt from 1998 for £50, its worth over £200. I'm sure it would work for football shirts as well
Hey, I have an AIK shirt (away 2020) that I bought from the club shop. Its the one without all the sponsors. I can't find a (code) the thing u seqrh for to see if it's real or fake. My question is, what is fake. Is this one fake just because it isn't the one they play with in games. Like is Nike Vapor shirts the real ones and the cheaper ones fake. Like on unisport.
Wasn't their a browser you advertised before and it tells you the cheapest websites for the shirt you want? Can anyone help with what the browser or site was
Does anyone know how to get giant football shirts?? I am a jersey fanatic but I’m 6 foot 9 and wear a 5xl. I’m also from Canada and fit into a EUR 7xl. I’ve searched every corner of the world and have only found a few. Stoke City and Southampton are the only clubs I’ve found with a 7xl. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I live in the US but I love how your shirts are not expensive. Over here American football jerseys are consistently over $100 US. I wish I could get these for 18 or 25 dollars. Lol
MandM selling the latestcChape home shirt, was gonna purchase for 55 a week before. Couldn't believe my eyes when it appeared for 25 with Gremio and Fluminense!
Sometimes the best way is to genuinely just go thrifting. Now there’s no guarantee that you’ll find anything, but I’m currently wearing a 2006 Senegal men’s shirt I found while out and about. Massive find
Mmmm depends, for vintage/old football shirts is too expensive, eBay and FB groups are way better. But, for new shirts with tags, as guy says in the video, is the best place to go
@@GeorgeMOORE-ic7bf it’s going to be called unknown jersey I’m collecting stock and making sure everything is ready to go I’m opening in the next 4 months
@@jakemorgan46 they arent fake, they get all their shirts from the authentic retailers in stock, they buy all the shirts that don't sell/ if too many were manufactured, all 100% authentic, comments just bollocks
Hey Ellis - do you ever buy Nike Vapour versions over the stadium shirts? Or are they too expensive. I'm wondering if Vapour shirts would retain better value over time. They certainly feel better to wear but £99!!
As a depop seller, to hear you say avoid the site Ellis is disappointing. I agree there is a lot of people selling fakes but you telling people to steer clear completely really effects the few of us doing the right thing, trying to make money selling genuine shirts. You've recently hit 100K subs (congratulations by the way) so you know that the things you say when it comes to buying football shirts, majority of people will take as gospel, so to hear you tell people to disregard the depop in their hunt for football shirts is a real kick in the teeth.
Absolutely this comment ^^^ Disappointing for you to single out Depop in my opinion. There are a ton of genuine guys I know who have Depop stores selling genuine vintage/newer shirts at very reasonable prices. There are also a large number of fake/shady sellers at ebay/fb marketplace. If anything through my own experience both eBay & FB marketplace are generally worse than Depop. You now have a significant following that a lot of what you said will be taken as gospel and will hurt a lot of smaller genuine Depop stores. As with anybody looking to buy vintage shirts, do your due diligence and only buy the shirt if you are 100% comfortable, Depop in no way should be singled out here.
@@jongods8123 couldn't agree more mate. Ebay and FB marketplace are just as bad depop. Ellis singling our depop is unfair. Let me know your depop store name Jonathan, ill come give you a follow and check out your shirts.
My words will absolutely not stop people from buying on Depop. It’s an app with millions of daily users, I understand that you may feel as though it may make a difference but I can guarantee you that you won’t see a difference in sales for your store. My videos are aimed at long term collectors for sure but MAINLY most of my audience are young, and getting into collecting shirts therefore this advice is at them to avoid them from making the same mistakes that I’ve seen dozens already make. It’s 100% easier to be tricked on Depop than any other site
