I helped set up a disabled football club a whole back in early 2000s in my home town & I wrote to 20 clubs & we got 19 rejections that included Man Utd Liverpool Chelsea Arsenal & Spurs. While the only club that said yes & helped us was Blackburn Rovers they sent us kits & put us in their matchday programme as well. It shows the huge gap between the big clubs & charity’s & the smaller clubs & charity’s.

We once had a local 7v7 tournament and we needed matching shirts obviously. We e-mailed like 5 teams from the Dutch second tier if they had Some spare shirts for us, without expecting to get anything. We got 7 shirts from Cambuur Leeuwarden which was really cool.

@@liamdixonmusic489 If you don‘t have German stamps, you can ask for an international coupon (I don‘t know the right name for it in English) in your post office... for 1-2 autographs it should be 1.10€ and for 3-4 1.70€

About 20 years ago I did a mini version of this with asking for a free football programme (just for my own collection not for RU-vid) - god bless Rotherham United, who sent me a signed 90s football programme. I know Watford sent me 2, Coventry sent me 1, Montrose were ridiculously kind and sent me two (I'm sure there were others) and Forest sent me a reply akin to "buy them yourself you cheeky bastard"...everyone else ignored me

It was probably a middle-aged woman reading the email in which he did put that they can send anything and he got a selection. I don’t whoever collected that stuff is a true representation of the generosity of the club and the point is they were allowed to send anything at all to a random emailer, which clearly we saw a parcel of a selection of things. When was the last time you got something free from your club?

I was pleasantly surprised to see Shrewsbury Town send a shirt!!! My best friend and I used to play them in FIFA Career mode because their badge looked like the Alliance crest from World of Warcraft (Before they had to change their logo). How class of them! The Bochum Ones weren´t for LGTB Pride. They were so colourful because of the title sponsor "Faber Lottery Service". The rainbowcolours form part of Fabers Logo. But I like to wear my Rainbow Jersey today like if it was meant to demonstrate LGTB Pride.

I did this to, but with national teams. 10 responded, and Kosovo actually sent one! And they sent me the special edition that they only used in the game agains England in th WQ qualifiers, which makes this even more special! The rainbow on the VfL Bochum 90s shirts has nothing to do with celebrating LGTB rights. The rainbow was there to represent the colours of their main sponsor Faber, a German lottery company.

Thats nice the smaller clubs sent you shirts, the big clubs need to take note. I have 5 worn signed shirts by my favourite player, then a worn signed shirt by another player, also have a signed shirt by the whole team and 2 MOTM champagne bottles 1 of them is signed and 1 isn't and then I have 2 ties that are signed as well

I live near Grimsby and it’s my local club and it’s funny bc I’ve only ever been to 1 football game and it’s was Grimsby vs Crawley a few years ago.

What did you expect though when you asked clubs for shirts when you mention how many followers you have? Ofcourse they will want a video just for them. The way you worded it was more of a business email than a fan one. A lot of clubs will send if you have a good amount of followers or have been in the review space. Used to be able to when I reviewed for several sites here in the US. It gives a false sense of hope that anyone can do it though

Try getting some Mexican teams to do this they’ll probably go for it right away just so they can get a bit more known in Europe!! I see you w America shirts but you’ll definitely look better inna Chivas one haha 🕺🏻
