In theory, to avoid a fight, you can vote to dive for battle next to an island (you can't dive unless you are on open waters) idk if it works, I just saw it on a YT comment, so you can do a world event, vote the hourglass, vote to dive, load the loot, unvote to dive, go to the nearest island, vote again, and so on, until you get to the outpost... Thats the safest way to get it by PvE, but you still have a small risk
@@ToxieSinclaireSOT no because you cant dive because you are next to an island. And you cant get invaded because you chosed to activate the war map. Or am i wrong?
One easy method which may be a little broken. Sail your ship to a Seafort, defeat all phantoms including the captain, grab all gunpowder barrels, point you ship towards the fort, raise the hourglass, grab a gunpowder barrel, wait for an opponent, then let the battle begin, jump onto the enemy players ship and let the keg go of! Then win.
@@omarkhalili6948 Oh. In that case he's simply wrong. That's not broken at all as it's simply preparation, which is easy to deal with if you're anywhere near competent and also the time to wait between invasions was unbearable the one and only time I tried it.
There is a way to reuse the same treasure to raise a another HG stash. I discovered that if you lower HG, then remove treasure and bury it, then dig it up, and then put it back on your ship, it will count again for your stash.
So, hypothetically. Stack a shite ton of loot, go to outpost. Bury everything, raise hourglass and vote to dive so you aren't invaded, pick everything up, wait 15 minutes, lower HG?
@@scpOrigami I guess so. Untested, and it is boring burying and digging. But I'd be interested to see how this went! Might have to try for science sometime!
Since the update to bust alliance defence, it seems like alliances don't get invaded at all anymore. Some friends of ours spent 6hrs + each day 3 days in a row stacking faction haul to grade 5 with world events with absolutely zero invasions until they lowered their alliance at the end of the sail and separated by several squares just to see if invasions were still possible. So there's a strong possibility that alliances now offer protection against invasion during the PvE progression strategies this video explores.
Tbf an organic alliance giving protection on an invading ship kinda makes sense. Would be cool to see a 2v2 option for allaince players. So an alliance of 2 ships could dive and invade another 2 ships
Rare can tell if ships are in alliance and have the same hourglass faction raised; maybe they could offer invading an alliance as a greater challenge for faction champions, similar to how a champion solo slooper can choose to invade larger ships. Alliances can be taken down, they're usually less-skilled at PvP and rely on their partner ships to stay alive at all; I think I would actually choose to fight an alliance over some of the ultra-sweats we frequently come across. I've had the standard 1v1 ship matches last 90-120 minutes when the other crew is also skilled and neither of us can hold the other one and neither is willing to just let it go. The alliances I've invaded have honestly not been that hard, comparatively.
I comment this about 4 weeks ago under a Absolute Pixel video and the people in the comments laughed at me for sharing this knowledge… thanks for getting it in a video Toxie 🤙🏻
Came in late but the video was good, going the pve route does feel slow then to compare sinking ships normally but if players wanna take the long route that’s fine by me ^^
aaaa you're so sweet Hermey!!! join the discord if you haven't already! I've not seen your name in there 😭 edit: no no no I see you in there! come chat with me whenever you like pal 🥰
I wonder if you can put the loot on someone else boat so it thinks its stolen and then bring it back on yours to reset the stash plus if your in an alliance the chances of matchmaking are lower because of the recent patch
See there's a problem with this video. You say PVE only without PVP at all and yet you end up doing pvp anyway in order to defend your loot. Grade five reapers can see your emessary flag so itll be inevitable that someone will come for you. SO either way you're gonna get into pvp regardless and youll get invaded one way or another.
I think you fail to think about how many levels you could get out of that if you weren't already 124 levels in. That chunk for a grade 5 captains stash would take someone from lvl 1 to probably 15 or higher. I don't know for sure cause I've actually never qued up for PVP, as I only bought the game about a month and a half ago. Almost 200 hours in already though, very enjoyable. Made pirate legend in about 85 hours, I'm not actually sure what my hourage was as I got it, but when I logged off for that session I was at 92 hours. I could imagine though (given that turning in 3-4 hours of loot from me and my friend not really doing anything while running reapers, went from 1-27) that it's not unreasonable to do this method for a little while in the early game if you want a few levels. Maybe 4-5 runs of doing this to get you up to like 35-40 or something like that.
@@Synful_RoX he was effectively 50 levels in. Once you get to 100 is becomes the same as being 50, in other words the work for 0 - 100 = the work for 100 - 200
Any chance I could just play with you bro like I can’t find anyone who will help me get to lvl 100 I’m a grown ass man and it seriously bums me out really bad that I suck so bad at pvp and I just wanna be a glow stick 😢
Get alliance with other ppl on the server, and everyone vote for reaper/red glass and sail together. If you can get even one guy to play with you its still huge because if you or him get invaded it will be automaticly 2v1.
So, im late to the party on this vid. But everyone says either stay loss farming or get good. Would this method advance newer players or players that dont have the skill to really matchmake with anyone unless your gonna wait for ever? My Servants of Flame is lvl 7... wouldnt this be alit quicker than trying to matchmake? Currently 2024 in season 14 btw on time of posting comment
Honestly this grind is way too harsh for anyone that isn't a god at PvP. They should add XP gains for hitting cannon shots, repairing, and bucketing, as well as rewarding players for long matches. This would make it more in line with other multi-player games and give you a more meaningful sense of progress.
@@ToxieSinclaireSOT There will always be people who are willing to abuse the system no matter what you do, but you don't balance around that. I have been grinding for three weeks and am only at level 28. It's a miserable and sluggish grind that needs to be addressed.
Yeah I agree definitely. I've had cases where a single match lasted for over two hours because the enemy crew was sweaty AF and had basically infinite supplies. It's just not fun nor rewarding when a match lasts that long for so little xp. They should make it so that the longer the battle takes, the more xp you get at the very least
Finally I way to get the new curses without getting dunked on or carried by good player because I suck even by trying my best except sinking and get carried by a friend I've done nothing
@@ToxieSinclaireSOT lol! Hunters call has been out since the anniversary update, Hourglass battles have been out for like 2 months lol. Also plz tell me how not to be a terrible helmsman
So if we use MATH this means that at a high level you should do this around 10 times for a level which means that you will die of cringe before you even do it 2 times, to HG we go then. Good vid Toxie and help me SLEEP PLS
I mean funnily enough i've gotten to level 97 so far doing this as my own challenge for myself. I have 0 ships sunk on my record and I'm proud of it :D
@@ToxieSinclaireSOT Its a slow painful grind, but people think im insane anyway since i love passively fishing since arena closed down, sadly was only missing the TSD hull or i would have the TSD title but its okay, i just run the azure scout hull instead. After i hit 100 i plan to actually go into the PVP side of it, i just wanted to do it this way to prove it can be done. Even tho its agonizingly slow and i would not recommend it XD Tho i would love to see reaper runs or some form of Voyages for the factions for the war effort, given that all of the use of these supplies have to get restocked somehow at the outposts. Like for Athena's guardians you gotta sail supplies from different islands to a certain outpost to restock the shipright for the war effort for a bit of Athena's Guardians XP would be nice :D Something similar for the servant would be you have to restock and supply run from the Reapers Hideout and help fortify one of the skull forts, something to drum up the feeling of a war going on! Sorry for the bit of rambling this seasons just been fun and im looking forward to what comes next (Hopefully bunnies as pets)
Meanwhile, you can turn in a grade 5 stash every 15 minutes without ever leaving an outpost and without ever being invaded, and it still hasnt been fixed :/ but oh well.. hopefully it will be soon, then maybe they can rebalance defending rewards to increase incentives, otherwise, it will be exploited more.
It's obviously a lot of grind if you want to do it like this, but it means that pvers will, eventually, get it too. Also, you're really high lvl, maybe people with allegiance 15 will get more reward?
Just keep trying and always try to learn from your losses. I will point out that SnowJ plays on xbox and he's a brilliant player! Just keep trying, keep learning and remember to have fun :)
There is glitch with treasure chest, you can get grade 5 with 3 items and treasure chest, just put treasure chest on your ship then put items in treasure chest then put items from treasure chest on your ship and repeat Its taking only 2-3 minutes to gain that
i really wish they added an anti cheat system in this game, I mean these past few days all I encounter with 1v1 sloops on hourglass pvp is like, literally. AIMBOT.
I'm wondering if the loot mermaids from shrines/Treasuries stay after you lose a battle if you get raided? I know they stay after server hopping. I believe there's a timer after you successfully win a fight before someone can match you again? So you so some shrines/treasuries then pop hourglass, wait for someone to emerge. If you win there's a safe period to grab your loot and run with it. If you lose try again and the mermaids are still there maybe? Also is there a cooldown after you lose a battle and raise hourglass inmediately again before you can be raided? Something I might test tonight
Hate how they force you to pvp, im new and ive had all loses coz i get Double gunning sweats, and hackers. Its not even beginner friendly. I hate this game
Hey i have looked for you for a while, yesterday you had just gotten out of a pvp fight and i shot over to your ship you then killed me and destroyed my gally, didnt get to say it then but GG
cant you literally farm this up with alliance servers? if the server is full 6/6 alliance and everyone killing each other for 50+ winstreaks? if that works im mad xD
A full server doesn’t effect invasions. Server merges will happen to make invasions possible. Long matchmaking times are not really a thing anymore, and soon cross-stamp matchmaking will be added.
@@ToxieSinclaireSOT They did not say it publicly. You can get invaded when a server there are already 5 ships on a server. How this works exactly, is not public information for many reasons. Mainly because it can be abused.
can u get the curse without pvp no. because no shot ur getting lucky enough to get from 0-100 doing that, but can u get a rep sure.. ur better off lose farming tho if u refused to shot someone else
The more you fight the better you re at the start of the season I was bad at PVP I wasn't winning any battles but now I'm winning almost all my battles just practice and learn the hard way
@@ToxieSinclaireSOT I tend to just sail around to get some treasure for the 3 alliance’s at any outpost and the hunters call which will be tough but i am gradually getting the reapers den sorted abit
