Most of the time it's an accident. While a lot of ppl might run into the same glitch, some will dig down into the code to see how it happened. And eventually make the glitch stable and able to reproduce. These people are what we call scientists.
@@exstringer6659 i would never think that all of a game’s glitches are found, especially one like terraria that still gets updates. even much older and simpler games have new glitches found

Its a real glitch, im not sure about the details but it works because of how terraria stores its sprite sheets. There's even a giant excel doc with all the possible transmutations
Probably something to do with block and item ID bugs when the related interactions mess with each other and probably change the door ID to the blade, therefore letting you "break" the "placed" Terra blade, but idk, I'm new to game development and I'm probably wrong as hell
With a few modifications (combining this with the campfire glitch in a combination known as “Philosopher’s Stone”), you can make it able to create any item in the game!
I remember watching a very long video exclamation of how this works it is way more complicated than I would ever think. I don’t see how anyone ever figured this out.
if i'm not mistaken, it was in the terraria veterans series, where they just kinda fuck around, and try to make ridiculous things. one thing led to another, and here we are.
its a 4D chess moment, messing with the item id's using doors to shift around and if you do a more complicated version of it you can get every item you want with a wooden door there is a more detailed explanation on youtube if you are interested
1. Make a multiplayer server 2. Join a server where u can take items 3. Take any item u want (u can join the dark gaming server, not sure if its available for pc) 4. join back to your multiplayer server (u will have the items)
