From Milan Centrale I choose train to Como San Giovanni which is the tourist central located - Lake Como just right in front of the station. After sight seeing around the lake by ferry - you can go back to Milan from Varena Ensino (more quitely) so you don't need to travel around back to first place since the ferry is limited & crowded especially in Bellagio
