Looking for a faster way from Downtown to the Airport without a car or uber? Watch to find how to ride the LAX Flyaway bus, a nonstop bus route that runs between Los Angeles Union Station and the LAX Airport, stopping at each terminal! The bus sports comfy seats, and is ADA accessible. The cost to ride this bus is $9.75 each way, which is more than my previous video about LA Metro (Which was only $1.75 but was much slower). From Union Station to the first terminal, it can be as little as 30 minutes of travel time thanks to the bus' use of express and HOV lanes en route to the airport. Watch the video to learn more! If your looking for an even more cost-effective way to travel to LAX, check out my video down below which uses LA Metro to reach the airport. Definitely would like to see the return trip! 👍 And here’s my experience with the Flyaway bus: First, back in the ‘90s I took the Flyaway bus to and from Van Nuys Airport to LAX. The experience was really good on both trips. It’s really convenient if you live in the San Fernando Valley, as I did at the time. I live in Ventura County now so it’s not convenient anymore but thankfully I do live near an Amtrak/Metrolink station. Second, I used the Flyaway bus to and from Union Station a little over a decade ago. Unfortunately, my experience was mixed. The trip from Union Station was great but on the return trip I waited nearly three hours for a bus. 😢 I’ve been reluctant to use it again because of that but maybe I just had bad luck that day. 🤷‍♂️

Sadly the video didn’t do well but I’m sorry also that your last experience wasn’t well! I wonder what disruption happened since flyaway should run every 30 minutes from like 6am to 11pm but i hope that was an outlier, buses departed perfectly on time when I was at union station, hopefully it’s like that more often than not! Thanks for commenting and watching

Nice video! 😉 A few things from my experience: 1) glad to see those new-ish (?) Volvo 9700s, I know them a little bit, they're really good imo. When I was there (Sep 22) they still had the old coaches, MCIs probably. They were OK though. 2) I bought my ticket online to be sure, but for some reason I'd lost my mobile Internet about the minute I left the terminal building and didn't get it back until I arrived at the motel. So when they checked the ticket (after the ride!), I could only show them the email I got with the ticket, but not the ticket itself. Fortunately the lady was nice about it and just let me through. 3) the drivers know their shit, they ask for your arline and sort you and your luggage accordingly, and announce the stops (like you mention). Not that you wouldn't know but still nice. Overall, a good service imo, 100% would recommend. At 10$ I think it's reasonable.

Always amazes me that the FlyAway bus to/from Union Station did not exist before 2006, but then Los Angeles is such the Car-Cult hotbed. It’s a great service, especially since the HOV lanes became the HOT Express Lanes. Should maybe improve further once the PeopleMover opens at LAX and the shuttle bus traffic is removed from the loop.
