If you don't know much about driving around Tijuana, I would recommend following the signs to the airport and then picking up this tutorial. There are other ways to get to Otay that may save a little time (not much), but this is the safest way to go.
I tried this and they had closed the road. The Sentri lane was undriveable. I got lost and stressed to the max. I hardly drive or go to TJ. Although I have Sentri it was super stressful situation when the close/block the road
thanks for posting this. I'll be coming to Otay Sentri crossing for the first time next week from Rosarito, and have heard the Sentri line is very hard to find at Otay. is it easier to go to the airport then find it from there?
That sign sucks, it is facing only one way, and it is super high that you can not even see it, I entered this lane without even knowing, this was my first time driving to TJ got lost , and on my way back I asked people in how to get back to the US and they sent me there, I did not even know until I got to the CBP officer and told that if I know what sentri was and I had told him that I had no idea and did not even know, that road sucks and does not even explain anything, I received a warning for just making a understandable mistake, they should alert more people about the entry, anyways now I know and learned my lesson!
Thank you. I'm only using Otay because I have a non sentri passenger who has to walk over, and Otay is shorter and easier for pedestrians. I will be coming on Blvd 2000, do you know if there will there be signs on that road for the airport?
