How to Get Toner Out of Bleached Hair at Home 

I used 3:1 ratio (lemon juice to conditioner)on dry hair. Left it on for an hour. It worked. Grey/purple is gone and hair feels awesome! So hydrated and not dry at all.

This TOTALLY WORKED on my hair!!! My hair has been colored/foiled for many years and I am a light blonde and I decided to use a toner to cover up my roots which turned my hair purple. My hair is shoulder length so I first applied the head and shoulders shampoo and mixed in a little bit of baking soda, rinsed it out repeated the process. Then I applied the Dawn dish soap and soaked my hair, then rinsed that out. I then took Olaplex conditioner with a ton of lemon juice, wrapped a plastic bag around my head and let it sit for 30 minutes. My hair is now white blonde which is exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much for this video because I have scoured RU-vid for a couple days trying to figure out how to get it out!!

Honestly thank you so much, I gave this treatment to my gfs hair because it got butchered at a salon and she paid 400$ and her hair looked like a swamp. 3$ lemon juice and conditioner, and it looks a million times better. THank you so much!!!!!!

Black girl magic here!!! I used this method because I refused to go back to my stylist with blue/purple hair. It definitely worked. I used head and shoulders, dawn powerwash and lemon juice. I did squeeze natural aloe on my hair the last 10 minutes to help with dryness. It worked. Thank you

This worked stunningly well. I used Palmolive soap instead of dawn bc hey. It’s what I had on hand. The best blonde color ever outside of a salon. Stripped out every piece of purple toner !

Hey there, my hair looked the same. I researched online how to remove and came up with 3/4 C lemon juice (used bottled) and 1/4 Clarifying shampoo. Mixture was pretty runny. Cover hair and used cling wrap for 2 hrs. Washed out with the same shampoo. My hair was sooooo dry, so I conditioned as usual and blow dried. Came out gorgeous and even with a real softness. Love it and my hair is thankful :)

thank you I used a lime and washer up liquid called fairy as I did not have clarifying shampoo and two washes later the toner that hair salon put on my very blond hair which made it look dull and ashy has really lifted

If you have a lot of red in your hair and have blonde highlights, SKIP THE LEMON JUICE. It will make your red very bright/orange. 🤣

Your formula worked perfectly. I followed your formula.to a tee and today I have beautifully coloured hair. Not looking like a doudy teacher with dark grey hair... Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this video. I wished I had photos but am kind of shy. I had used Ion icy white cream toner so you can imagine my surprise when I ended up with dark grey hair. It was very glossy though. I may try it again but not leave it in so long. Have used purple shampoos before and ended up with lavender streaks. I never panicked cos I knew it would wash out. My problem is that my hair seems to have different porosity, the front reacts very differently to other areas. Anyways, so grateful !

I know this is an older video but I watched last night and followed the method and IT WORKED! So simple and easy! My hair turned gray from an ash dye after bleaching but now it's a nice light aah blonde shade! Thank you! ❤

Omgoodness I haven't left my house for days. I have naturally medium brown hair which I decided to bleach with a 30v developer. Of course it came orange yellow so I bleached again and not much changed. Finally I put a wella 050 violet toner on thinking it would cancel orange but no!!! It came straight blue purple even gray looking 🤮. I followed your instructions and a couple hours later I have beautiful platinum golden hair!!! I added some baking soda to dish soap, stirred it up in a bowl and washed my hair twice with this mixture. As I was combing the shampoo mixture in with my fingers I could see the blue lifting bc the soap suds were turning blue. Finally after washing and drying my hair I used fresh lemon, put the juice in a spray bottle and saturated hair thoroughly. Put plastic bag on head and blow dried on hot for 30 minutes checking it periodically, I noticed the warm tones coming back and the blue gray fading fast. After this I jumped in shower and washed with regular shampoo and conditioned like normal. Once I blow dried I was amazed that this really worked!! I am left with gorgeous results, beautiful blonde hair, I literally cried. I am so grateful for you Misty ty soooooo much!!!

Level 9 blonde (bleached) and I used a different toner so bleu it became! I washed 5 times with anti dandruff and got it to dark grey. The day after I used lemon juice with conditioner 3 to 1 and left it in(they said a couple of hours) but it was out with 45 minutes and I was back to level 9 blonde!

IT WORKED! I toned with a sterling toner expecting my highlights to be a pretty silver. They turned out DARK grey. I did this method and it lightened everything to what I expected originally. I'm so grateful for this video. TY! TY! TY!

They say to use the blue Dawn washing liquid.... but it never worked for me anyway ... lol

Sorry, dumb question lol: When you say "2-3 times" do you mean in the shower like lather and rinse 2-3 times or shower three separate times, towel dry hair and get back in...? haha I'm assuming it's the first one, but if you could just clarify. I keep seeing that wording everywhere and want to be 100% sure before I try.

Overtoned my blonde wig and needed to get the purple/gray out of some of the strips in the hair. I'm going to try this. So far all I've done is wash the hair 3 times with cheapy shampoos and it's kind of stripped it but not enough. Hopefully this works. Btw a good hydrating mask is Maui moisture deep conditioning masks. Oh and p.s. I remember the lemon juice, hydrogen peroxide and sun in spray from the 90's lol.
