I use to stream. Life gave me a bad deal. I was a good streamer. I was working Offshore overseas when I started so I only could stream every other month. Money was good offshore. Was making 230k a year. Then in 2016 got laid off and shortly after that my wife was diagnosed with cancer. I had to stop streaming. I had to deal with life. My wife didn't make it. She passed away last December. For those 2 years, I didn't work. I stayed home with my wife and my son. Now I just started working offshore overseas again. Still got that itch for streaming. I just bought a 3k gaming computer with broadcasting equipment. My wife always encourage me on streaming. Life is short. Remember to take time for your loved ones. I will see you all again on twitch soon.

Congrats I know it’s been a year so I’ll ask the question people want to know how much have you improved and do you still get money from streaming if so how much?
The first Time I streamed, I got raided twice. Today was my third time streaming and I'm at 25 followers. I know this momentum will slow down quite a bit, but It was a very great moral boost to get me started. I'm looking forward to implementing this stuff and keep the grind going. I Love Twitch because it does encourage building a good community!

I was in the same boat until about a week ago when I just took the leap and did it, I only have a couple viewers average each stream but just doing it feels like such a weight off my chest and I’ve always wanted to do it so it’s making me really happy too! All I need to do now is learn how to speak to my chat and keep convo with viewers going 😂
I streamed for 2 weeks straight and got 27 followers and 375+ viewers! I love my community so much and I’m grateful for everyone. I show appreciation for everybody who stops by thanking them and talking to them :)

I watched this video a month ago and decided to start streaming on twitch, I got some of my friends to watch and eventually started getting followers. Fast forward to today only 1 month later I met the requirements for affiliate. Thanks for all the tips and help and if it weren’t for you I wouldn’t have even thought about streaming let alone gotten affiliated.
Been streaming for about 5 days now. It’s super fun! I have 15 followers now. Finding a community is definitely the best. I spent like Two weeks prior to streaming being a part of my friends stream. Commenting, throwing him some BITs and even jumped into the games with him. By the time I started, a bunch of his followers came over to support me too! And don’t be afraid to ask your friends and family to watch you, they are a great way to get your average viewer count up and have active chatters! I’m still learning a bunch and can’t wait to hit affiliate! Thanks for the tips!
I've done the tip to talk to people on my own, I thought it was just nice and it made twitch more fun to me and then they hosted me and I went from 2 viewers to 17 o3o
@@iceangelx22 I greatly interact with viewers, have a warm personality and always read the chat. I'm up to 141 followers now but only get about 2 viewers a stream. I'm still trying to average 3 viewers enough to get affiliate. Right now I'm not sure what I want to stream but it has to be something I enjoy and hopefully brings in viewers. I do retro games on Sats and/or Suns. 3 days during the week newer RPGs and other genres.

These tips are great. I'm on the path to affiliate myself. What I choose to do is keep my stream going for a while and before I head off, I raid someone that I've been keeping an eye on for the last few days, make sure they're engaging and entertaining to watch. I raid them and that way I'm passing on my viewers to someone I recommend and glad they are being passed onto a quality streamer without having to hunt for another themselves. Once you've raided, the people in this stream know that you are a streamer and as long as the person who are raiding is kind, they'll often wanna follow or even recommend their followers/viewers to follow you. Both streamers get viewers/followers. Win win!
I’ve been streaming now for about 3 weeks and I’ve gotten to 11 followers! It’s always so exciting when people engage in your stream and want to talk! Can’t wait to hit affiliate! Thanks for all the great advice!

I took your advise on going to on other peoples streams and talk to them. They now know my usedname well anough, I was invited to look at one of their streams later on today and another person from chat gave me a recomendation of a game as i was look for a general idea of games to stream. This video helped me a LOT so thank you so much for uploading it. Keep it up! 😄

I got mine after maybe two weeks max...getting enough followers was a bit tricky and so was the concurrent viewer requirement. Even if you don't have a ton of friends you can always pull it up on your phone or something so you at least get out of the 0 viewers zone. I didn't really want to tell people i know in real life but it has made a big difference having those few extra people. I've found once you have at least 4 people watching, the viewer numbers can go up quite quickly. I was lucky in getting to know some other gamers in the games i play and joining several discord servers. Those servers let me meet a lot of smaller (but a good bit bigger than me) streamers...and since those people have become my gaming buddies, when i started streaming they would help me out by hosting or raiding or just hanging out in my stream. It was a good bit of work, but it was mostly fun and it was nice that i was able to get affiliated pretty quickly.
You have no idea how helpful this is going to be. I didn't realize how much other small streamers would be needed in growing. I hope to start streaming really soon and this is gonna help a ton!
Just started! Super helpful! I made a schedule streaming at 11 am every day, but the viewerbase was actually higher (7 people) on my first stream because I played at 2am. Gonna keep grinding it and hopefully I actually get ONE consistent viewer
My husband has worked so hard on RU-vid for 18 months. 515 subs, 230 videos. He started Twitch less than 2 weeks ago. Using these tips! Today he crossed his 50, met all the other requirements. Is waiting on the button. He watched you before he started. Wanted to let you know it works, Thanks! He is a Maker, guitar builder, experimental luthiere, does in his shop working videos. He seems to love Twitch, and the new friends and interaction. He is "Frugal Fixer" both places! He Said there is so much too learn now!

I started streaming again 2 weeks ago and these videos have been so helpful. I use Stream Labs and just had the echoing problem, so now I know why and how to effectively stop it. (It actually happened during my live this week, but thankfully my followers apparently love helping out when things go wrong.😅) These videos also help me see what I'm doing right and where to focus instead of being all over the place. Hey Wild I've been struggling with reaching Twitch Affiliate I've been streaming for about a year! I know my content is good and the stream looks good but, I get super close to having 3 concurrent viewers and then It just goes down! I know my mistake is that I don't have a schedule but, I could only stream when my brother goes to work because I don't have my own PC. I know one day I'll reach affiliate and when that day comes It'll be the best day ever!
Jarni Bruh I mostly play minecraft and they have the choice to join me but they have to follow and most do it but I don’t really have any tips sorry just be consistent and when you’re streaming stream for at least 3 hours

I started getting serious about streaming at the beginning of this year and I was struggling with consistency; some of it out of my hands, some of it boiling down to my own laziness, but I finally stopped making excuses for myself and followed this video as closely as I could. Tonight I finally broke 50 followers and I’m at 2.5 average viewers. I’ve never been so motivated to do something like this for myself and I can’t thank you enough for putting this information out there. It really works if you allow it to.

Dang! I’ve been trying to get to affiliate since, get this... LAST SUMMER. Idk why it’s so hard for me tbh... I’m actually growing now but I’m still no where close to 50 followers which is basically the only thing I’m struggling on at this point.

The BIGGEST tips I took from this video was comment on RU-vid videos and go to streams and talk in the chat... I thought to myself and said you know what.. I really don’t do that too often I watch a poop ton of RU-vid and stream but I just watch I don’t usually comment so those two were HUGE! And also the open lobby one.. I usually always play with viewers but like you said usually once they join they leave the stream so I’ll probably start doing the same thing just so I have concurrent viewer but man this was a great video!!
