Welders are a dime a dozen these days but quality builders who study endlessly are a bit more rare and carrying that rare mindset sets me apart from anyone whos doing mobile work.

You are a great man Antony! You work hard, you help people, share your knowledge and keep pushing yourself. To build your own house with less more than your effort during your regular work is a really hard thing to do but what you build will make you proud of yourself for the rest of your life!

I just got a stainless job for a brewery making them a new screen for their mash that sits on it. Right across the street and now they use me all the time when they need things welded/repaired!

I am a mobile welder. I’m the kind that likes stick welding everything, but every time I put a picture of an aluminum project someone else calls me about aluminum. I hate it, but apparently so does everyone else around here. So I do it if I’m able to. If not I refer it to the Amish dude with a $15k tig machine.

Awesome advice. And when you do get a job, clean up after yourself when completed . I don't know how many times I arrive on site and see a mess where the previous person left a disaster on the ground. Not a professional look. Customers definitely notice, but don't say anything.

Good advice I really like the business card part. Sales 101. When you put something in someone's hand, in their mind its now theirs. You have just become "one of their people ". The internet stuff is Gold, esp. for us boomers still out making a buck.👍 you're the 1st youtuber to relay the tradesmen's motto. I learned it as " Do what you said you were going to do, when and how you said you'd do it, the day you signed on." 😊 Do you sell welding hats w your logo on them ?

I got a few aluminum welding jobs just because there was no one that could do it or that would do it. As soon as I put I do aluminum I got a few calls almost immediately

Im a tig welder Anthony and everytime I go to car shows I give out my cards because these car guys like nice exaust and turbos kits but they needs a tig that’s where I come in

Irrespective of job, career or skills the first rule of selling for success is selling yourself! If you don't sell you, you don't make a chance of a deal, no chance of a deal, no chance of business. Price condition your potential customer and when you ask for the business you must use a "close". When you get the order, deliver it as expected by the customer.

Professional Welders will & can infront there customers any time any place. Weld & Bend in middle of there welds in 3 positions. Horizontal, Vertical & Overhead. And are certified with paperwork. And don't cuss infront of your employers. Have a little respect. The best are making the big $ welding pipe.
