Do you have dingy, stained towels like mine? 🤢 Or maybe yours barely absorb water anymore…. It is normal for towels to soak up some of the detergents and products we wipe on them overtime, or even become this way from hard-water build up… but let’s get rid of it!! 👋🏻
We are going to “strip” the towels today. 🧖♀️ Laundry stripping is the process of removing the buildup on the fabrics to reveal fresh, white fabrics! 🏳️
Instructions:
⭐️ Fill tub ½ full with HOT water (more clothes = more water)
⭐️ Add CLEAN clothes or towels (ONLY putting items of the same color and fabric together)
⭐️ Add 2 Cups Powdered Laundry Detergent (I use Tide here: amzn.to/3uZmr0R)
⭐️ Add ¼ Cup Borax Laundry Detergent and Booster (amzn.to/40so29z)
⭐️ Add ¼ Cup Arm & Hammer So Clean Super Washing Soda (amzn.to/438jpEa)
⭐️ Add ¼ Cup Calgon Water Liquid Softener (amzn.to/3wI7e4R)
⭐️ Mix well, until it has dissolved.
Let it sit for 4 hours and check back every hour to mix it with gloves or a large spoon. 🥄
At hour 4, after mixing, scrub any remaining stains with a laundry brush (if needed) and drain the tub!
Squeeze out excess water from each towel, and transfer the towels to a bucket to carry to the washing machine! 🧼
Drop it in the washing machine and ❌DO NOT add any detergent❌, there is plenty still in the clothes. Run the cycle and dry as normal. 🧺
Your towels will come out softer, whiter, and so much cleaner looking and feeling! 👏🏻 I removed most of the stains on mine and they are now looking BRAND NEW! ✨
