This is the best way to get your climbing sticks up the tree on trees that don't have any branches to hang your sticks on.
These lone wolf climbing sticks are available thru my affiliate link with amazon by clicking the link below to go directly to the sticks on Amazon: amzn.to/2KmDiNV
When you are hanging a tree stand on a tree with out branches one of the hardest things to figure out is how to get your sticks up the tree. This system I show in the video is an easy, fast, and quiet way to get the sticks up there where you need them.

Funny story. My sticks were clanking like that and i was so mad at myself each time it happened. It Ended up rattling in a buck but i was setting the platform at the time. Lol

I really got exposed to mobile hang and hunt setups watching The Hunting Public this season, but your videos like this one and your lone wolf assault review have me sold! Now I just need to figure out how to afford the gear. Keep up the good work!
@SamkoTradBow
@SamkoTradBow 5 лет назад
Keep the gear simple. Less is more. Especially running mobile. Start with good stand and sticks. Either put a hip belt on the stand or get a pack that you can put the stand and sticks on. But money wise sticks and a stand are most important. You can get a molle hip belt for 15 bucks that will take the weight off your shoulders until you have the money for a good pack set up. It's worth looking at exo mtn, kifaru, kuiu, stone glacier, etc. For a quality pack. But again all in time when you can afford it. The hip belt on the stand works great on a budget. Will also need a damn good headlamp for trying to figure stuff out in a new spot in the dark. A gps or phone app. And a good saw. Not much more is needed. Any questions on anything just ask!

Thanks for the great video! I’m new to saddle hunting and climbing sticks, and have been struggling on how to get my sticks up the tree. I would set 2, come back down the tree to get the next 2. This makes it too simple!!

Such a simple solution.. Genius :) I would use the L/W sticks but I like have dual foot steps. Makes life a touch easier when climbing and especially when hanging the stands.

Jason I am testing the Yak grips and I found they bind the strap a bit making it more difficult to cinch down or loosen the straps. Have you found they loosen up with time?
@SamkoTradBow
@SamkoTradBow 6 лет назад
Yes they do loosen up. But they will always be a little tighter than not having them. I found that after they have been on there for a few days they get easier and after a a couple uses they are good enough to not bother me. Then they just get easier and easier as the season goes on. But the first couple days they are pretty tight to work with. The noise reduction is amazing and in my opinion worth it. Other people have actually cut a slit in the bottom of the yak grip to let the strap feed thru with less resistance and had good success. But for me th er y work fine after a couple days of stretching and get pretty easy to use.

This lineman belt is not available for sale but has to be made. Search lineman belt on my channel and will show you videos on what couple items you need and how to put it together. Super simple. Bit I can not sell them due to the cost of insurance on that sort of stuff.

Nope not even a little. They just hang on the side of the tree for you to climb. Nothing penetrates, bites, or hurts the tree.
