This has been a great video I’ve been on no contact with my ex for about 2 week now and a week ago she texted me how wired it was for her to not text me everyday and was wondering how I was doing. Take your time. Even if you get her back, your relationship's still bound to fail if you're still not ready, which makes it even worse than the breakup. The rule of absence is not only for your ex, but it's also meant to help you. Focus on finding the best version of yourself for now and you can worry about reconnecting with your ex later. It's funny how few people understand the incredible pain you are going through. Those who know are on your side and support you because we'd like that same support. I've read some good reports of the wife coming back but it took a pretty strong and loving husband to hold out for her. I completely understand where you're coming from and I'm doing the same thing. The only difference was that I was unfaithful (not in a sexual way, but I was flirting with one of my friends), but that's only because of her constantly using this push away/pull back emotional abuse on me that drove me insane, she couldn't communicate at all, controlling and possessive, obviously narcissistic, never respected me but kept love bombing me and telling me how great I was while essentially bad mouthing me to her friends. And then a month after our 3 year relationship ends, she's already back on Tinder. So I got in super great shape and when I get ready to date again, it shouldn't be too hard finding someone who actually deserves to have a guy like me.
Kate has good advice except for one. You should never contact her again. Let her do the contact. She broke up with you. She broke it. She needs to fix it. She needs to win you back, not the other way around. If you contact her, you look weak and needy and that's damaging to your masculine core.
Its been 33 Days Nc. Since this I've been going to the gym. And running 3k 3/4 times week. I'm also doing other activities to benefit myself and also to keep my mind busy. It's good that you're still in good terms with your Ex, but it puts you dangerously close to the dreaded friend zone. It's a situation you don't want to find yourself into since it's extremely hard to get out of. I suggest you do the rule of absence for a month as mentioned in the video to make her miss you even more and increase your chances of winning her back.
Hi Kate, My girlfriend and i broke up 2 weeks ago. The reason was that we expect different things in the relationship. And she said it didn’t match. After the break up i’ve been thinking a lot. I was being too controlling in my relationship , tripping over little things ... and all the things you said to not do I did /: it was just a 4 month relationship but it hurt cause I know I can change . Dude literally same for me. She literally just broke up with me 2 weeks ago. We’ve been together for a year and it didn’t really start until she went to college. The reason y I started acting like this was bc for 1 she’s going to college and i was used to her being with me a lot, 2 even though throughout our year and 3 months of dating she literally gave me no reason not to trust her i just know for a fact most men don’t respect relationship boundaries and i also had a past with being cheated on and it just did something to me when she left for school. I agree. An ex is an ex and usually for a good reason. In most cases it's not wise to go back. If you do choose to go back you should only do so if the issues that caused the break up have been resolved and that things have changed for the better otherwise you'll waste your time going through the same BS all over again.

I’ve noticed a lot of coach’s have said that you need to take time to work on yourself after a break up so if your ex does come back then they can see you’ve changed but if your ex breaks up with you because you stopped trying as hard to please her and they feel like they deserved better and that they didn’t feel like a priority anymore how do you work on that? I dated my gf for 3 1/2 year and took her for granted and don’t know how to work on it. Thanks for your advice!
Sorry to hear that Austin. You can always work on making her feel important and prioritized after the rule of absence. Anything you do right now would only come across as a desperate move to keep her, and that's just gonna push her further away. Stay off the grid for now and allow her to actually miss you. After at least a month, you can then start working on re-attracting your ex back. Good luck!

I'm sorry to hear about your situation K-9 State Of Mind. It sounds like she's still interested in you even if she's with someone else. There's a possibility that it's only a rebound relationship. But for now, as difficult as it sounds, you need to create some distance. You can't let her make you into a backup plan in case her other relationship fails.

Hey Joseph! It sounds like your ex sure has a lot on her plate. Maybe it's true she doesn't have much time, but I do agree that you make time for important people in your life. You can't exactly avoid contact with your ex, but you should give her as much space as possible. Since you work together, you have to deal with her professionally... but leave it at that. Give her as much space as she needs until she misses you. Sometimes that's all it takes :-)

My ex would message me first the few days after the break up. She used to constantly say “I still love you” and “I miss you” and even would y’all about getting back together and our future. But now 3 weeks later she still messages me daily but then ignores me. And has said that she doesn’t want to get back together ever but still gives off vibes that she likes me. This usually happens when you keep in touch with your ex after the breakup. It puts you right in the friend zone which be pretty hard to get out of. Start the rule of absence and keep your distance for at least a month. This will make her miss you and eventually be more open to getting back together.

Yes, you definitely still have to do the rule of absence. By staying in touch with your ex, you've allowed yourself to get stuck in the friend zone. Not only are you helping her to move on easily, it's also a convenient situation for your ex to still get your affection without having to commit to a relationship. You _have_ to show her that she could lose you for good, and she can only realize that if you keep your distance.

You have to have at least a month of zero contact at all, before you can start re-attracting your ex. You need to make her feel that there's a big possibility that she could lose you for good, and you can't do that if you keep in touch with your ex.

That's rather unfortunate but there's nothing you can do about it now. Just make sure you don't make the same mistake again and stick with the rule of absence. You can start step #7 when you've completed at least a month of no contact. Good luck!
That feeling is totally understandable when going through the rule of absence but I gotta tell you, it's absolutely necessary. It's a very important step towards winning your ex back. Sure, there's a slim chance she'll find someone else, but that's just going to be a rebound relationship which is just temporary and usually doesn't last that long.

The goal of the rule of absence is for her to get rid of those negative emotions and miss you Serban. You can also use this time to be a better you. You'll need to reignite that spark that once made her attracted to you. Avoid talking about problems or the breakup or anything that would trigger negative emotions at all costs. And finding someone new within this period is called rebound relationships so it's nothing to worry about. Good luck!
Hi Kate. What happens if my ex broke up with me due to her fear stemming from her own dreadful past? We had a perfect 6 months. Everything was great. But she told me a lot about her marriage and divorce and the effect it had on her. She warned me she can freak out if it goes too well. After 6 months, it was the milestone that freaked her out. She first told me she was freaking and needed time. Then she told me that she realised she cannot be in a relationship at all. She totally switched off her emotions and cut herself out of my life. I think she's totally convinced herself she was never in love with me, even though this was clearly not the case during the relationship. As I did not do anything wrong myself and there was no other reason for the sudden end of the relationship, can anything at all work to get her back?
Can this work to get her back? Absolutely. But what's to stop her from freaking out again after a few months leaving you back to square one? Getting back together does not mean you solve the real problem. Unfortunately, this is out of your control. You said it yourself: you did not do anything wrong. Unless she solves her own issues, then you'll only end up in a dead end or in a vicious cycle.

Hey there CaramanChristian! Cutting off contact is the best choice you could've made, so that's a good decision. Giving your ex all the space she needs also gives her a chance to see how great you were together. I know it's not easy, but it's worth a try. I hope everything works out for you :-)

Agreed with Kate Spring. I'm in the same boat and still doing it now. I was too available, too needy, too desperate, double texting, confessing feeling too soon, acting weak ass. These are the main reasons why she slowly pulls away from us. The best thing you can do now is to stop chasing her, stay the fuck away from texting her, begging her, being sorry, and you have to be strong to walk away and mean it. These will prove her that you're a high value person, have self-respect, and that you have masculine energy. Doing this will make her attraction for u to shoot through the roof and eventually she will reach out to you. Deleting messages or blocking your ex is actually unnecessary but if it helps you to maintain the rule of absence, then go ahead. Just make sure you avoid contact and stop all communications with her.
Keep your distance for now and never interfere with her present relationship. Rebounds usually don't last long, so stick with the rule of absence and focus on yourself instead.
Hi Kate, Im Danny from Australia. . My girlfriend (from the USA) broke up with me, just like that, all of a sudden, no warning anything was that wrong in our relationship.. We had a long-distance relationship for a lot of the time, so that made it difficult.. Do the rule of absence for now. Give her some time to get herself together and figure out what she really wants. Keeping in touch, trying to convince her otherwise will only push her further away, and makes you look desperate which pretty much kills off any attraction.

Well, if she's going out with another man as a response to your post, then there's a good chance that she's doing it out of jealousy. Rebound relationships are usually temporary and are meant to get this exact reaction from you, so you shouldn't worry about it that much. You can avoid falling in the friend zone by keeping your distance for now.

One of the things that I would advise you to do is not include your friends in this. People talk and regardless of how much you trust your friends, people always talk so if you're trying to get your ex back try and keep it to yourself. I would introduce a no contact period. That's 30 days of not talking to her and no more fake Instagram accounts. If you try to trick her into getting back together with you, she will feel betrayed and won't trust you and that won't make her want to get back together with you. Ok. What happens if doing the month of no contact she received a ticket to concert that was purchased before the breakup. And her mom's bday gift that was also purchased before the breakup. Did that hurt my chances .
It isn't that much of a big deal since both were purchased before the breakup anyway. Just give a casual _"you're welcome"_ if she sends a thank you, nothing else, then stick with the rule of absence.

Reached out to ex first contact but no response but someone how we bumped into each other via a mutual mate few days later, kept it light and fun. I didn't look that great to be honest but it was a off guard but I know I improved which she noticed! We met for a quick drink same day, was good and fun but short. We texted few days after and went cold on another day. Was my fault bcos she back with the ex and probably wrong timing!
