This is my 2nd year alone, I had 16 last year when I split with my business partner and now I have 55 to myself (i definitely grew after going on my own). I’ve found that the more I get the harder it gets to keep up with everything. The rate that they are coming in, should I raise my minimum price? so that it maybe slows it down or if I continue at this rate I’d be able to afford help without it eating profit

I like the info Seaf gave here. Another person Ive been following and watching alot is Mike Andes. He likes the business side of the lawn care business. Good information there as well.

$65 to $70/ week sounds high? Is that a normal rate?

In Canada that is usually the rate. Comes out to $47 - $51 USD

Not when you have the customer under contract for 7 months. Also, it typically takes about two weeks for the grass to grow back from the initial cut.

Why not
@kodypilger

@@Donkiko-bz1lv the lawn is typically overgrown, which takes longer to service. The extra charge doesn’t always account for the excessive wear and tear this causes on equipment over time.

@@SeafAlShannaq your charging a good rate for sure. I’m in Canada if we get lots of rain the grass could grow over 6 inches in two weeks here.
