Sidekick is THE problem kick for most upcoming martial artists, unlike front or roundhouse kicks it involves more hip muscles that we don’t use in everyday activities like walking. To those struggling, keep working!

My sidekick is my problem now im a first dan blackbelt and will take an exam on oct im going to perfrom koryo my sidekicks looks so bad but im going to record from today the drill u shared for us to see if i will improve..will update you and thank you for the tips..

I needed to practice Koryo 2 and the sidekicks where what I was having a hard time with and even after doing one drill once it helped. I felt it in the kick.
What are the major muscles involved in raising the kicking leg? The glutes and hip adductors? I just know that the hip flexor flexibility can keep the kicking leg down

These videos always make me laugh a bit. 19 year old girls giving the same drills everyone in Taekwondo practice.
