I've made 3 for family and friends in the last year, starting a 4th now. It's very gratifying because they are always very well-received.

Thank you for this video, I started a prayer shawl ministry at my church and so far I've made about six. I'm primarily a crocheter but I'm actually knitting my first prayer shawl and can't wait to finish it. It gives me more blessings to pray over each shawl I make and to see them go to someone needing comfort :)

I make prayer shawls for chemo patients at the cancer hospital in my town. I always use 100% acrylic, no allergies and easy care, machine wash and dry. People not feeling well don’t need the extra burden of finding a place to lay a shawl that needs to air dry.

I thought this was a great video! I'm actually watching this before I go to a funeral. I'm also a caregiver and I didn't think about knitting these for my residents!
