Hey hey hey. I’ve been teaching my 7 year old to shake someone’s hand when he meets them since he was a little boy, and he is the most charming outgoing and wonderful child I’ve ever met, that is with exception to his younger brother who looks cool while doing it.

When I was a boy, as we were parting from church, our priest would wait by the door to shake your hand as you left. He had a very swift and strong hand shake. He purposely would try to only get your fingers and squeeze the crap out of your hand. I took this as a challenge. My favorite part of Church became leaving!

When you reach to shake another person's hand. Look them in the eye regardless of What the hand is doing. This will make the handshake secondary and also allow a "handshake recovery " if that's important to you an equal experience. Same with the "Fist bump", look them in the eye. Which, by the way is far more sanitary in a world where we recently needed to teach the masses how to wash their hands...

Just by the hand shake and body language face expressions extera I can tell if I can trust someone or not !!! Example if someone shakes your hand by the tip of the fingers usally means that person dont have any back bone( hypocrite ) !!!
Sometimes they pull back and leave you only fingers and you never said anything about the grip. If it's limp don't squeeze much at all and if you feel their grip getting tight then slowly start giving them a hand wringer. Some men will not respect you much if you don't grip hard. Also always make eye contact.
