Thanks for this! I'm trying to skate the 국토종주 in south korea in a couple months and I'm nervous about managing the hills since most of my experience is very flat. All the advice I see is carving, but the narrow trails make me think that won't be a practical option, even with my roller derby training making the motion relatively comfortable
I noticed you have a 45 degree plate with a slide block on so I assume you skate at the skatepark. Would you say it’s harder to manage skating on a 45 degree plate at the park as opposed to a lower degree like a 10 or 16? Id love to hear about your experience with this. Thank you for the lovely video.
I have skated with both magnesium Avengers (45°) and aluminum Avantis (10°) at the park. I do love my 45° Avengers, they are nice and lightweight and very responsive to transitions at high speed. However, with a 45° plate, you cant install as long of a slide block. I can still slide, but practicing longer slides and learning to slide on a p-rail I have to be pretty acurate about stance, less wiggle room.
