Comparing the current values is fine, but you should have also compared the prices when new as well, as all the cars are from the same era, and appreciation from then, to now and going forward must be taken into account .. But you clearly looked happiest, having most fun and seemed more passionate in the LaF. You had a beaming smile when you got in it.. You also seemed to be playing around with the LaF more than the others (easier and more natural to drive due to the NA engine? or just better?). I love the concept of Huayra, its really is art, so beautiful . But lets face it, Pagani have never won any significant race, so they are kinda like a really ripped guy in the boxing gym who only hits bags and looks good and wont ever take a real fight lol . Now do a video showdown video between the 918 and the Laf. If not, its Laf (or Aperta) time for you Tom ..... Ps. the reason i feel the P1 is priced lower is that the engine is made by Ricardo. Heritage matters. If it had a BMW V12 ( or even a Merc V8) i bet the prices would be much higher.. Bloody Garagistas :)
Fantastic video. So good to see these 4 on the road. Can you imagine living near the Hartley estate and seeing these cars just cruising past. Wow. Think I'm gonna move house 🤣
Just discovered your channel, and i love you honesty and expression in this video, i love how you are trying to express you passion and love and pros and cons of the 4 vehicles, but the emotion you have to all is so honest and inspiring. Love it, and thank you for such an emotional, honest review.
I'd take the LaFerrari without even thinking about it... dont care if it's over 2 millions... Italians do it better!! Wish I can come and buy a car from you one day... or just visit.. can I!? thanks for the video Carl !!!
What about reliability, is the McLaren cheaper because of that, does that impact owners though. I own one car that cost less new than a tyre on the Bugatti, hell you’d probably buy two cars for that tyre, so if it breaks, it’s hassle, would a £2 million car cause much hassle to its owner ?
I wonder were the Koenegsegg Regera RSN you had or a 918 would have fitted in with that lot. The P1 to have in my opinion was XP5 Tom Hartley Jr had in stock, or the navy blue MSO you had
If you took the na v12, rareness and enjoyment of all of them really you just get a zonda. 😁 P1 does nothing for me. Not very special and too similar to other McLarens. Probably why its cheaper.
Great to able to drive again eh? Lost my license 30 yrs ago after been caught driving pissed....lost it for 2 yrs never drank ever again..value my license and driving sportscars more than getting wasted....peace from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Step one...lotto win Step two .. convince the other half its a bargain ( it will be Carl is selling it) Step three.. phone CARL. THEN JUST enjoy 😉 Simples..😎🤪 😎
La Ferrari a shade over 2 and a quarter million… £100,000 over infact 😂 I suppose in the world of hyper cars that is a shade, in the real world it’s 2x BMW M2C’s
Thing is.... The LaFerrari has a howling V12 straight out of the history books, while the P1 has a far less sexy engine with no history or heritage, supplied by a British weapons manufacturer.
Very quickly becoming my favourite automotive channel. The guy is not a journalist, he actually lives with these cars on a daily basis which makes it very unique. Looking forward to a lot more from this channel.
La Ferrari for me any day! Simply one of kind. Veyron is a Bentley on Roids, P1 is too similar to all other Mclarens “Bar Senna” And the Pagani is overshadowed by the Zonda.
That hopeless look as 39:20 when you know after driving a car that you will buy it… you need it… and that the night ahead you wont be able to get any sleep…
Carl this video was epic mats such a fun informative episode well done mate ...I loved your face at the end where your questioning your own decisions keep up the outstanding work mate
If money wasn't an issue then there can be only 1. It's the the LaFerrari. The looks have the right amount of aggression and beauty. The sound, inside n out is just on another level. And finally it's a special series Ferrari. Need I say more..👍👍
Carl, a great piece, very informative. There is a fifth factor. Is it art. The Pagani wins over any modern car on the planet. You can look at the car as a whole or any component. Every piece is a work of art. I want those wing mirrors BTW. Has there ever been anything so wonderful. IMHO, in 10 years time the Pagani will be worth twice of any of the other three. The colour is very very special too. Thanks again. Maybe one day I can visit and see your car. It is so very special.
Great video. A very hard choice for sure. However if I asked which if you only drove for half an hour a week which puts the biggest smile on your face, I think the LAF is the clear winner would you agree?
The p1 and la ferrari are my favorites by far! Would def be the two id go for and have if I ever could without hesitation! Would rather get a p1 and a senna, a p1 and the new 296gtb, a p1 and a gt2 rs, p1 and a amg sls black series, p1 and an 812 competizione or gts than 1 10+ year old bugatti veyron or any Bugatti for that matter. Same with the Pagani. Only one id personally spend double the p1 on is the La Ferrari.
Thanks for posting. I enjoyed watching albeit 2+ years late! My choice would have been the Ferrari as I prefer the looks and the sound. I would prefer the Ferrari even more in a traditional red with cream leather so I would hold out for one in my preferred colour combination! When you couple that with your description of a better driving experience. I struggle to see the case for the other cars despite how magnificent they all are individually. I would fear crashing the McLaren from your description so that is out of the equation despite the discounted cost price! The Veyron is a very fast car & have read that drivers can feel their bulk. In isolation it would be great! I am not a fan of the Pagani's pops bangs & whistles but I love the theatre inside the cabin & exclusivity! I also love the care & devotion that goes into the creation of each Pagani. You can't legally extend any of the cars on a UK road unless you are fortunate enough to live in the Isle of Mann or have access to a racetrack Hence the road driving experience would only ever give a flavour of each individual car's true driving experience. I have ridden superbikes on the road but fundamental differences can still be gleaned at slower speeds between machines! I would be apprehensive to drive any of the cars featured on a narrow road! I am not in the position to buy any of the cars. Hypothetically, if I had bought one of the other 3 cars - It would always irk me knowing deep down that there was a better car out there! Your buyers will buy for different reasons, with different driving skill levels, purchasing power and different aspirations how to best enjoy their vehicles. Money no object have the lot with the exception of the McLaren maybe! Million dollar question assuming similar mileage and condition - after two years: how have the individual cars changed in value?
They are all special but if money was no object, You'd have a Chiron or Veyron, a la Ferrari, The Huayra, a koenigsegg, a CGT and an F1. you wouldnt even be thinking for one second about the P1. its arguably forgettable. still amazing obvs, but hasn't really got anything special about it.
For the price of the Veyron Super Sport. You could have either a P1 or 918 + a SF90 in either coupe or Spider form and a top spec Bentley Continental Super Sport for everyday and still have some cash left over..🤔🤔🤔
Great video Carl, really good to see you taking these fantastic machines out for a spin and giving your opinion 👍.More content on you reviewing the cars you have in stock would be well recieved.
