Yes, I tried to go downstairs to a bigger and flat skating area. And I saw other kids my age go down a small ramp. (my age is 8 years at that time btw) but after I tried, I fell on my literal butt and it felt like my tailbone fractured but luckily there was a bench nearby, So I crawled there and luckily my mom didn't saw me cuz she would've told me to go home and never use my inline skates. And don't worry. It healed up in 2 months.
@@Autumn_On4Pawz if I ever got kids I want to teach them how to skate, I wouldn't mind if they fall down, because everything heals and knowing how to use inlines is a very fullfilment feeling.
I looked this channel up and clicked most popular, and the literal next video after this one is a tutorial on how to stop going downhill. How convenient
I just got inlines and you are seriously such a great teacher - your tips are clear and concise and have helped me so much the past couple days. Thank you for your content!!
I haven't skated for nearly 10 years.. just order a new set to get back into it now that my first born is old enough to ride a bike at the trails. Now, I get to try and keep up with her while relearning my muscle memory abilities 😂
@@NicoDiAngelo603 Well obviously you ain’t a gun. Who would have though you were?? Edit1: Just making sure y’all know: this is a joke❤️ Edit2: Why 23 likes?-
@@NicoDiAngelo603 sooo no female teachers at school, no learning how to eat or anything bcs of your mom, no learning how to kiss bcs u had ur first kiss with a girl and stuff like that??? sounds kinda gay my dude
I've found that literally running as if not wearing skates is a great way to get a ton of speed and make uphill sections not a problem at all, though skates are heavy so you need some decent calf muscle to pull it off for any reasonable distance especially uphill, for much larger hills just do what cyclists do, go sideways across the hill perpendicular to the slope to build speed and then use that speed to go up the hill as far as it will carry you, then rinse and repeat till the hill is over
Could also do what bikes do, go up diagonal, then turn the other direction and go diagonal. Basically, zigzag up the hill. It's a lot easier than straight up
Something I would like to mention with the grass, you need to make sure the grass is dry and not wet because the moisture from the grass will sease the bearings in the wheels and make it realy hard to skate.
I recently started rollerblading this year and as soon as i got them for my birthday i started doing research on things like these and your channel has really been a great help so thank you very much! 😸
My and my friend a few months back would go on our rollerskates and race each other downhill but we would be careful because sometimes cars would come round the bend but its fun
I use a t push technique to go uphill. Pivot your foot on your back wheel and push off the skate. Alternate and your away. This technique is great for uneven and slippery surfaces as well.
I dont know how to control my speed, and I'm not confident enough to trust my balance to do any stops. Downhill is terrifying, I'd rather walk on my socks.
I’ll need this cuz I prefer roller blading over biking and we used to bike to the pool which to the pool is lots of uphill and back is speed horror and we might bike to the pool again this year
I have nightmares about Going down a hill and up a hill i keep imagining if i go down a hill theres gonna be a car and im gonna die and if im going up a hill i keep thinking im going to fall backwards and hit my head
I'm thirteen years old, and I have been skating pretty much my whole life. I've only had two pairs of skates, and I just got a new pair around a year in a half ago. They used to glide on the ground super easily, but now they're getting super slow and harder to push. Are you supposed to oil them like a skateboard??? If so, please tell me how I know how to take my skates apart. I've already toyed with that but am I supposed to oil them???
