I use the clear backboards and they help with the wraparound covers. The only thing is the backboard will stick to the back cover and could possibly hurt the comic depending on the climate (longer-term). I've taken my comics out of the mylars with those clear backings and they haven't stuck but the possibility is there, you can tell it could stick if you don't watch them. Good stuff.

What I usually do (for the finger prints comment) is , when it comes to buying comics is I’ll usually buy 2+ one ☝️ for me to be able to handle and I’ll sleeve it, and the other/s I’ll put away (after seeing which one is better) for grading

I sent myself through CGC to get graded and I came back a 3.5. If I were younger, bet I coulda got a 6.5.

Well.... Hindsight. Not sure what went down, but I suspect he learned the hard way that Silver/Bronze restoration is a much different game than Golden Age. Ruin a couple $75 K books and you are immediately under water.

how about doing a step by step process of the grading process like counting the amount of defects allowed per grade. It gets kind of tricky when it comes to lower grade books especially trying to bump up a half grade or dropping down a half grade.

I am conflicted. I am VERY new to collecting, which is why I am watching these videos. I have The Last Ronin #1 Mattina colored variant that I was thinking of getting graded. So should I send it in to get pressed, then graded? Or straight to get graded since it's a modern comic.
