You Can Grease Your Suspension Without Grease Fitting. See How To Double The Life Of Your Ball Joints And Tie Rods @dairleautoclassicrestorati6892 #balljoint#tierod#carmaintenancetips
That bigger one isn't intended to be used by sticking it into the boot. That one is used to go directly into a zerk fitting or other types of fittings that come on newer ball joints. For instance, I have upper ball joints that have a place to poke that right down the center of it and fill it with grease - done. Great tool, but not for stabbing the boots... too big of a hole. Great vid. Glad you didn't poke yourself. :)
I'm a RN. When you take the cap off a needle, twist it to break it loose. Then it will come off easily and you won't jab yourself. You have a great channel. Thanks.
Thanks alot. I did like ya said on my pro master van made a big difference went on a trip to a pro motocross race Unadilla NY 4 hr drive couldn't believe how sensitive the steering was perfect 👌 take care
I just ordered this needle fitting for my grease gun. The ball joints on the front end of my car are squeaking away. The uppers have the zerk fittings from the factory. I pumped those up hoping that would get rid of the squeaking. No such luck. I’ll try to post again after I use the tool . But, the video cleared up a question I had. Thanks so much for making the video 👍
I have an 04 Dodge Cummins without grease fittings...front end is creakier than my 92 yo great grandmother - can't wait to get home from my road trip to try this. as they like to say in the UK, brilliant! thanks.
Thanks my pro master van has no fitting I will try I like that better than the hypodermic needle I think I will put something over the hole agen thanks alot
In the UK, on an annual MoT inspection, they can fail the safety inspection for a ball joint leaking grease, so beware as replacing wishbones is not cheap.
I just had my oil changed on my chevy express. The work order said fittings were sealed. After watching this, I feel like I got screwed. I'll mention this to them next time and see what's they say. Thanks for the info!
Well actually they did not tell you anything wrong. It is a seal unit. My video is basically showing a way that you can grease a sealed unit. Thank you for watching!
In your case. You may want to use the small needle and do not pack the boot full of grease. More like half way. If you have used silicone. I would injet in another area. I myself have not used silicone.
It has no issues noises or anything. Drives nice no wandering no tire wear. I might try spraying white lithium grease inside not sure if it would get to the socket or not in time. @@dairleautoclassicrestorati6892
How long does it take for the grease to leak out the hole you made? And don't tell me it won't leak out! And how do you tell how much damage was done to the ball before you pushed in new grease?
You do not have to pack it full of grease. Just enough to have some inside the boot. Ball Joints show several signs of wear. If you noticed a potting sound when turning left or right. Or frontend may Squeak. You can lift up the frontend and shake each wheel . If you have excess movement. That's a sign of worn ball joints .
