The correct tool to torque the nut connecting the linkage arm to the frame is a crowfoot wrench. Your local auto parts store has them. Also, sequence doesn't matter nor does taking the bike off the stand. Just torque to correct value.
Nice video, but in the Yamaha manual for a (23’ YZ250) it specifies to torque the bolts in the following order: upper shock bolt if not already torqued, then Connecting Arm (Frame side), Connecting Arm (Relay arm side), relay arm (bolt in swing arm with plugs), then the lower shock bolt last. I always tell folks to be sure to read their specific manual for the correct sequence.
Hi mate love watching your channel. I am sure you get sent a lot of questions etc…. But i wanted to ask if you could provide a small clip on how you would go about greasing your swing arm bearings. Hi there I’ve got a yz 250 2013 model and I just got a new allballs rebuild kit and I pout the bearings in and the main pin shaft that the bolt go though is so tight on the new bearings that the pin will not go in to the new bearings do u no what happened here thanks
Hey man ik this is not related to this vid but. I split the case on my 2001 yz 125 and I can get it to go back to gether but it puts the engine in a bond
Really check for missing washers or parts. Use parts diagrams. Is it binding at the crank? Then it may not be totally pressed or centered in the bearings. If it’s the trans, it’s likely a washer or piece out of place. Something simple like a bearing not fully pressed in can also cause binding, and double check that you have the right bearings in the right locations.
