Welcome to the very first episode of Kavkaz Grill N Chill! This episode is all about the steak! We will be using my Webber kettle grill with a Vortex add-on. Using the reverse sear method, we will cook these steaks to an internal temperature of 10 degrees less than our target temperature. In this case we went to the 125 degree range using indirect heat. Pulled them off to rest for 20 minutes, and then seared them off. This is truly how to make steak for beginners. I go over all the different strategies you can use to make the perfect steak, better than the cooking channel!
In this video, you will see me use these products found on Amazon:
This is the Amazon version of the Vortex for half the money! Works great as you can see in the video. Great reviews for a reason: amzn.to/2Yce8vE
This is one of my favorite tools in my kitchen. I absolutely love this knife and for only $30, it really feels like a knife that was hundreds of dollars: amzn.to/3ePq8JF
Fantastic cutting board that has 3 compartments on one side, and a full board on the other. It is also organic and made with Bamboo: amzn.to/2Y5CveL

Don’t listen to the negative Nancy boys here. Taste is subjective to each person. Class is also and they have no class. Good instructions. For those of you who don’t understand what he was saying. Take your steaks off the indirect 10 degrees less than the temperature YOU WANT. he likes his a little more done. So what
@kavkazgrillnchill7737
@kavkazgrillnchill7737 Год назад
Exactly. When you cook indirectly, you control the outcome of the product. It’s not your burnt and well done piece of Rubber. It stays juicy and tender. Sounds like you understood!

Absolutely! Please enjoy and let me know if you have any questions. You can also use it inverted and to the side. Does not have to be in the middle and can be used either way.

Well if you do it with this process, it stays juicy and tender. It is cooked in reverse. You’re not drying out the meat.

Reverse sear you don’t over cook, it’s a fantastic method to cook internal first off the fire

Well to say something is over cooked because you like to eat your steak cooked to a different temperature then someone else is comical. The thing about reverse sear (which I teach in the video), is that you can even do well done to where it will be cooked through, yet still tender and juicy. The problem with cooking a steak the traditional way, you end up burning it, to get it cooked well done. Reverse sear you cook by internal temp, off the fire, and just finish it off by searing on the grill.

Hey dude you need to find another line of work anybody who kills a ribeye like that does not belong in the kitchen. Everybody is meant to be eaten medium rare to rare you don’t wanna cook all the nutrients out of a steak you don’t want it gray all the way in there and you would’ve done better searing the outside without the vortex and just flattening out the coals. So find another line of work because you certainly can’t cook you’re talking to somebody who’s been doing it for 35 years. Cooking is not for everybody nothing to be ashamed of you just don’t know what you’re doing.
