How to grind a Bedknife "Foley 673"

In this video we demo the new Foley 673 automatic bedknife grinder. This grinder has time saving features like an automatic infeed stepper motor and electromagnetic mounting system. We have seen a massive increase in productivity with this automatic grinder being able to spin grind and complete the bedknife grinding process because this machine is automated.
It takes Mr Crowley half or less of the time to complete a full reel and bedknife sharpen because both machines are running and sharpening while he is taking apart the next reel and prepping it to be ground.

Hey a little advice it looks like your not grinding enough angle on the top face. I would try scratching the stone to see where it contacts and adjust your stops should be around 10 degrees or more. Get your scratch to be in center or rear of angle.

Just wondering on those 2 adjuster bolts to adjust the bed knife there's a nut on other side where spring is on that nut is it supposed to be tightened all the way down to squish spring or dose spring have to have a little play in it just wondering because the ones we working on sharping the spring are flat squash spring seems like not doing anything. I'm new at this but the guy thats showing me how to sharpen been tighten that nut all the way down but to me it dosent seem right

Are you referring to the movable bedknife stops it rests on before you turn on the magnet?

I tighten mine down so that i can turn the washer with my fingers slightly. Not too much, not too little. If its so tight that you cant turn the washer with your fingers, the spring is too tight. I try to be just under that. If that makes sense.
