I find proper grip one of the most important yet least talked about aspect of CrossFit. After a rip or tear no coach has ever said to be "oh, that's cause you're gripping the bar this way" or "your wrists are in a compromised position". Is it something so minor that no one mentions it or is it a 'when the student is ready' type of a thing and finally after a billion tears I'm ready to learn how to improve my grip? Great video, by the way. Thank you.

what if your hands are small, and it's difficult to get a full grip on the bar?

*bump* the bars in my gym are really thick and really high up so I struggle with holding on without slipping aswell xD

venkat sai Yes, you'll definitely get some buildup but it's a good thing.

Just wondering if holding the bar in the center of the Palm versus more in the fingers would cause the hands to rip more?

Don't put the bar in your palm, put it in the base of your finger

My wife had the thumb on top of the bar for t2b, fell off and cracked her scapula and eight staples in her head. Beginners should always wrap the thumb.

step 1 go to another channel and don't listen to a crossfitter about pullups because they don't do them.
