In this video I cover some of the major tactics I use in order to solo grow a Giga on 'The Isle' within popular servers.
Gigas take approximately 6 hours and 30 minutes to fully grow but are considered top apexes because they deal massive amounts of bleed & damage per bite and are a force to be reckoned with.

I dont care what APEX I am I can put the time in, grow it to an adult, and 100% of the time I walk right into a super-pack of carno's or Dilo's that just swarm and kill me.

I have an easier time with avas on the giga than rex. The bleed is soo much better that even if you just can get a few bites and keep it moving itll feed you.

id try sitting in the bushes incase anything did roll up, they wouldent spot you right away. Also at the end, I woulda been a little spooked because ai spawns behind a carnivore thats dropped below 75% hunger... and an Oro spawned right after you ate and almost immediately got spooked by something with that higher pitched cry XD good thing you didnt stick around

Yea, you're exactly right about the oro! After I finished recording I saw a fresh adult Cera. Luckily I was able to stay out of sight and made me way north haha

Good video, really helpful as I had gotten to sub-adult giga but got killed by some rule breaking rexes, i'll use the tips in this video to go into an isolated area to grow. Nice vid!

The same happend to me i was a sub adult in a group i savelogd out and the next day i logged back in in Front of an acro as i was tyiping hi he imediatly murderd me i dont know why cus ai spawns there frequently there were like 10000 avas theres

also No Go zone. Sinkhole, Swamps Center of the Map & both Docks raptors nest. safe spot. zigzag u-River on bottom left & behind the aviary (come down for water only at night).

I fell in with raptors at the docks only because I was a teeny tiny Utahraptor. Definitely avoid otherwise and even as a Juvi Utah you might get rolled.

Northern waterfall is also safe spot. I grew my full grown rex, giga, and trike there. Good ai spawn, easy water, the big trees that are good for hiding, and rare encounters with other players. Would recommend

Ocean Gates is the best spot. We once had a huge Utah family & there was an ai spawn and fresh water. The water’s kinda glitched so you have to get in a good spot

What would've made this video top tier is to get ambushed by a rex at the last second. Great tips but there's also a solid amount of luck needed if you're a solo. If nearly anything finds you below a full sub you're done for. A max sub can defend itself somewhat but it can still be risky.

Actually you CAN live off AI even as a fully grown apex. I did that multiple times, never starved. :) Of course this can also depend on which server you on(some have High AI some don't) and also depends on how many players on said server. If the server is full or almost full the game instead of generating more AI it splits a certain number of them among the players who are on the server so you get a lot less to yourself unless you are managed to join a bigger group(usually with apexes you can not do that if you are on a rule server)

How did u catch that ava? I'm new to the game and it seems impossible for me to catch an ava with a juve giga. I'm just way to slow and I can never sneak up to it close enough to even land a single bite. It spots me meters away and starts running. I only landed one bite but only because I was lucky it kinda came running into me by accident.

It's definitely quite the challenge when you're a juvi lol. I always try to creep up as close to it as I can with ambush ready and go for a bite or two; and when it starts running franticly, its better to wait for it to run back your way rather than chasing it without ambush

U don’t need to chase it u need to follow it’s footsteps and after sometime it stops for I little while then u have to bite it and keep repeating till it dies

If you attack the ava in the back in ambush mode then he often doesn't see you coming unless you are almost on top of him and you can get a few bites in. Do that untill he bleeds out. This works on the oreo as well only you need to bite him only one time. Hope this helps a little.

Yeah same I’ve died so many times starving bc juvi gigs is so fucking slow. Like even if I sneak up on it it just runs and runs and runs and it’s the most annoying shit ever

@@BerserkEnjoyer636 honestly, 3/4 times you can just keep running after the ava and it will stop and let you bite it until it dies lol. Ate 3 avas in a row as a juvi doing that.

Yes, I have a question, I always manage to reach sub gig, but always die, mostly because raptors, how would one be able to survive raptor attack when they are faster and smaller then you?

Even as a sub Giga, it's best to stay hidden cause most things can overpower and kill you until you're full Sub or fresh Adult

ambush speed/ crouch sprint. you could probably 2-3 hit a raptor. giga have crazy bleed damage. walk away while on ambush mode. if he charges you have a high chance of catching him. if he is tail riding, brake check. sacrifice some free bites to get your ambush speed.

Another tip turn of all saund exept for master Volumen so you can only hear other big predetors and smaller ai for potential food

I've played this game for about a week now and I'm trying to grow a giga my first was killed by a utah. I had grow a full rex but was also killed by the same utah. Rex and giga are easily killed by a good single utah player unfortunately and there is little a new player can do about it lol. Its a great game and alot of fun but loosing your 6 or 7 hour real time work on them isent really worth it. You would be better off with an allo or Carno takes less time to grow in the case it gets killed. Good video by the way and great explanation of where to ho to find a quieter place to grow.

I agree. Id rather not play as a solo apex because all it takes is a duo of gigas or rexes to kill me. I also take the approach of playing mid tiers like allo, Carno, or cerato because they take half the time a Rex does.

If you go on a survival server, you can select which dino you'd like to play as. Giga is listed under the Carnivores! GL

ai spawn rate is very low when server population is high, during peak. grow your giga when the server population is low, during non-peak hours.

So what's the point, i started this game today, picked giga and fully grew it. But there's nothing to do. You just walk around and eat ai dinos.

Well different people have different opinions on the game if you’re interested in Dino’s as much as most of the players you’ll never find it too boring playing with other players helping other babies grow going on hunts are the funnest
