Thanks for making these really helpful videos! The 0.1% is super accurate. I have about 55K followers on youtube and insta combined, and have now about 60 paid patreons. I started mine in March this year, and it's been almost 6 months and it's been slowly, very slowly growing. The community is priceless. I am enjoying it alot. It's a commitment though! Not something you can really take a break from.
I feel like many artists like me are on a similar journey to ultimately achieve this kind of community aspect that converts. And when that happens, I will refer back to this video❤Thanks Mimi. I hope to join your Patreon one day!
Great video! I’ve been running my Patreon for a couple years now and I have a handful of lovely patrons! I’ve recently added more reward tiers to offer different options, including an artist club, sticker club and happy mail tier!
Thank you so much for your video! I just started my Patreon account this month, and as always your videos are extremely helpful! You're truly an inspiration!
You share so much valuable information, and your videos are very calming. I'm not anywhere near creating a Patreon community, but I still enjoyed and appreciated what you shared here! 😊❤
You're my inspiration and I've been drawing every weekday for the past 2 weeks to help grow my audience! Thanks for putting out such wonderful videos. They're great to help "break down" the bigger, intimidating stuff!
You’re my inspiration and because of you I created this RU-vid channel to start sharing art! I’ll definitely think about Patreon once I gather more audience ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Mimi Frequent patreon member of yours Dec-Feb mostly. I love you advent calendar. Especially as a way of treating myself during the holidays as I have dietary restrictions so I cannot have real advent candy I hope you do it again this year ☃️🎄🎉🎨
Thank you so much for the advice. I think your illustrations are too adorable. I'm going to save up for an annual subscription to your patreon. I joined TikTok recently and saw an account under your name. The videos were PHENOMENAL. I can see that you're probably too busy to keep that account up since it's inactive right now. But I would venture to say that people would pay to know how to transform their art into videos the way that you did. I'm not sure if you already offer that kind of teaching. But wow. I was astounded by how you did that. You could seriously create children's cartoons in that style and it would be so cute 🥰
Thank you for sharing! I run a Ko-Fi art membership (similar to a Patreon) &offer livestreams, zooms, a discord /place to chat & share art, art challenges, references, guides and exclusive videos. I started with one tier and gradually built it to 3 depending on what my community wanted x
Watched it carefully and it didn't answer much to my question. I have about 15 patrons and i can't seem to grow much. I wonder 🤔 how you do promote your page? Maybe i need to adjust benefits or it's just taking a bit of time. I've only been back on it for 4 months.
i keep meaning to set up a free tier for patreon, but its trying to find the time to do that has been impossible, which then makes me think that might be a good thing. if i cant find the time to set that up, i prob wouldn't have the time to properly offer things for people
I always loved drawing but life happened and I stopped, life still is happening but I'm now able to take back up drawing and have even gotten a digital tablet...I want to get better and earn cash on the side, this has given me some ideas and I have created my IG account to build my audience, starting Sept 1st I want to challenge myself to draw for 100 days to practice consistency, and afterward based on the number of followers I'll create a Patreon community or something similar...what do you think?
What art program do you use?? ^-^ I use Procreate right now, but I’m looking to branch out and try other programs. (: Thank youuuu for sharing this video!!!
I’m a writer, not an artist. I would love to start a patreon, but I’m worried about protecting my writing from piracy. I having been able to find any way that patreon protects their creators? I love this video!
I'm not very familiar with what strategies there are to protect writing in general, but I imagine a lot of the people who steal writing are lazy so I wonder if these days they'll turn to AI instead of stealing from a Patreon creator? Unfortunately though theft is always a risk as a creator, and something for you to decide for yourself whether that risk a deal-breaker or not 💖
Thank you for this video ❤ I would like to ask you if you have noticed a difference in engagement and other aspects on Instagram through these last 4 years, since you started in 2020. Could this be a wide enough topic for a youtube video?
I think I'm going to make a video about Instagram in the next month or so, because yes I think it definitely has changed, but platforms like IG always evolve and adjust their strategies. They had some big changes before I joined, big changes while I've been active, and I'm sure there will be more big changes in the future!
@@MimimooIllustration Exactly, and since you’ve experienced some major changes as a content creator it would be very interesting to know how your strategy also changed ☺️ I’m looking forward to the Instagram video! Thanks for answering ❤️
