Good question. I wonder too.

Apple trees grown by seeds are often way different from the parent tree and are rarely any good. This is why almost all commercially available apple trees are grafted.

Depends on how you treat the soil, I proofed it on my kapeer lime seed which is i grew it from the seed and i think it's also work to the others fruits plant🙂

Hi Tom I have in my yard two apple trees that I grew from seed. They do take a long time to mature and produce fruit.Some longer than others. My oldest apple tree was around 10-11years old and still no fruit. My wife told me to cut it down. I said I would threaten it to scare it to bloom and fruit. I gave it a heavy pruning and also root pruned by digging and severing some roots below the drip line of the outer branches. It worked! I have had loads of apples for years By chance they were large good quality fruit. The tree trunk is 45 inches around. My younger apple tree started to produce fruit much earlier about 7years old. I didn't have to threaten it. It too produces large tasty apples. The sooner you plant the better.Time will go by fast. My trees are 30 and 4o years old and I am a 69 year old grandpa now and still planting trees of all kinds from seeds. Enjoy the journey and be safe and happy!🌳🍎
