Growing Apple Trees from Seed | Cold Stratification

I successfully germinate several apple trees from seed! In this video I show the process I used and the results I've had so far!
First, I harvest two apples from my home orchard. Next, I clean the apple seeds and prepare them for cold stratification in the refrigerator. After many months of waiting the seeds germinated! I then plant the germinated apple seeds into small containers and place them in a south facing window. I provide water and use a small fan to simulate the wind to help the young apple seedlings strengthen their trunk.

This will be neat to follow. I am curious if these will grow true to type or if they cross pollinated. I had 3 apple trees(multiple variety) in my yard at one house, the house was from the 1940s and the trees were from about then. The neighbour on one side had a crab apple tree that she said had been planted in the late 40s and the neighbour on the other side had 2 trees of a baking apple variety that her grandmother planted late 49s or early 50s. I think one of my trees was the result of a seed from my favorite tree that was cross pollinated (hard not to cross with such close proximity). My favorite tree was a crisp and very sweet variety (no clue on "name") that was yellow stripes blushing to red. My husband's favorite tree was a VERY sour green apple (we figured out that it was likely planted as a pectin source for canning). But our third tree was strange, we called it a mystery tree. The apples looked identical to the sweet tree but could have the taste and texture of any of the 4 varieties that surrounded it .... It was a mystery of what you got until you bit it 😉. Also it was my kids' favorite of our trees. We figure the tree was a result of seed that definitely had the sweet tree as one of the parents but cross pollinated with one of the others. It made great jelly, applesauce and pies so despite the guess of its parentage we enjoyed it.

@redfernforest, I had some old red delicious (I don't kno if thats the actual name or brand of the apple) apples from Walmart sitting in my fridge for a little over a month, before I threw them out I took out some seeds, put them in a folded bounty paper towel inside a container without a lid, then hid them inside my oven so they could be in the dark and in room temperature, every other night I 'd spray the paper towel with water to keep them moist. It only took a week later for them to start sprouting.. Why did it take you 120 days to get sprouts in the fridge?
