Great video. Good point about giving them enough space. Once, I crowded a bunch of carrots too close to one another. It didn’t stop them from producing carrots, but the lack of air circulation between plants caused a disgusting sludge/slime to develop on the soil surface. I also notice that the leaves tend to dry out quickly. Nice share. Be well. - Colin
If the summer is very hot/sunny it might be a good idea to sow them between corn rows. I did so this year and it helped, though I didn't thin them, but I sowed them relatively sparsely. I mix the seeds with sand (like 5% seeds, 95% sand, seen this on youtube), because it helps sowing them a little more sparsely and provides a clear view of where I sowed. Got more than I know what to do with, same with red beet (also between corn rows). But I don't know how it works in other climate zones :)
So I just watched your video on the Premier One versanet fencing. I notice you've got a similar setup to my garden fence in the background here. I also used chicken wire on the bottom because I've been having rabbit issues. Is the versanet good for that kind of problem? Also have a lot of deer pressure. It's expensive so wanted to hear your opinion!
