It's amazing!!! When I have a Cephalotus I'll try it, but I'll mix some moss to keep some moisture and at the same time a good drainage (70% perlite and 30% moss maybe?)
This is really interesting, thanks! A couple questions though: how often do you water? Do you just keep the reservoir filled all the time or do you allow a rest/dry period? In which temperature range do you use this method? Thanks again!
Classic grow demands peat moss or live sphagnum, this is very enlightning, you use some fertilizer? How sturdy is cephalotus when manipulated like that? It has a reputation of it's roots not liking to be touched.
@@chiemexotic319 I often hear that Cephalotus needs a little rest in the winter to survive. In all these years that you've been growing your Cephalotus, haven't you noticed any growth or loss problems?
@@chiemexotic319 thank you, you are a great grower. I watched your nepenthes videos, they were great.. Do you grow any other carnivorous plants in just perlite.
I commend you on your experiments with growing media. I think you've found something awesome. This is great for root development , but might not be the best soil if you plan on going on vacation for a week. I plan to continue your research with some other CP's. Thank you for your videos!
