This video is a detailed description of Curlyleaf Ligustrum. Curlyleaf Ligustrum is an upright evergreen shrub. It is low maintenance, drought tolerant, and deer resistant. Curlyleaf Privet is a great alternative to Sky Pencil Hollies. This slow growing shrubs can reach 6 feet in height and 2-3 feet in width.

why do some say this is fast growing to 15 feet and you say slow growing to 6 feet? Is it the Curly Leaf Ligustsrum Recurvifolia that grow fast and high?

Thank you for this. I watch your videos whenever I am thinking of purchasing a new plant, shrub, or tree. I’m watching this today because my curly leaf ligustrum (in a container on my back porch) is turning yellow and brown. Based on the video, I might be over watering them.

These grow like crazy. About 40-60cm a year not sure what’s he’s talking about. Also need to be pruned multiple times thought season if you wish to curate a nice shape.

Different plant. There are many different species and cultivars of Ligustrum. I have a Ligustrum recurvifolium video which is what your referring too

I have Davidsons Hardy ligustrum. I had to trim the hedge off some for the gas man to change a meter. Some of the new growth had some yellowing leaves. Normally after a year they go dark green. The foliage is thin. It should fill back in. Should I use Holly Tone or Ironite?
