Definitely, I think a shorter beard suits him so much more. I think people often conflate having a bigger beard with equalling better, but it's more about finding what length, shape, style or even if a lack thereof a beard works for you. But that's just my opinion and Tim can do whatever he wants with his facial hair.
@@danielwright568it’s not always about “looks”. I know I look “sharper” clean shaven but the beard adds a lot to personality and overall aesthetic that you can blend with so many styles in outfit and accessories
good video but It's amazing how few people have heard of the banned Borlest books,I have a suggestion for those who train to read a book called "You are stronger than you think" The book provides so much useful information about how testosterone affects various aspects of our lives, including energy levels, mood, and overall health. It’s especially beneficial for anyone who trains or is interested in fitness. This knowledge can help improve workout routines and overall well-being. Definitely worth a read for those looking to deepen their understanding of how our bodies work
Want to confirm that minoxidil radically improved my facial hair several years ago. I went from basically not being able to grow a beard because my mustache was so bad to my mustache being the best and fullest aspect of my facial hair with about 6 weeks of sustained use. I didn’t even know it was recommended to continue forever - I stopped after I saw the results I wanted and have never used it again. I haven’t lost facial hair.
@@vaadwilsla858 That's interesting - typically that kind of side effect occurs from minoxidil overuse or "overdose." That said, if it it affects you negatively, of course don't use it. I was just responding to the fact that it does, or at least can, have positive effect on facial hair growth *and* that I did not experience subsequent loss of facial hair after stopping applying the treatment.
@@vaadwilsla858Yup, same here. Tried it multiple times throughout the years. Always gave me severe heart palpitations and had to go to the ER once. Minoxidil is a "prehestoric" blood pressure medication which literally has a black label warning. That's for oral minox, but still if your skin has higher permeability, topical minoxidil can result in large quantities transdermally going into your blood stream. Which is what was happening to me. Others might be fine, but still be extremely careful and make sure to monitor your resting heart rate
I've had a beard since I was 19. Am 27 now and I've found that the best value for beard balms & oils is to make them at home. It's about $25 in materials and can last years making many batches. I typically have one formula then just add different scents to it depending on the season. But it's also fun to experiment!
@@Mansimran24 for beard oils I use a mix of jojoba, Castor, Biotin, Saw Palmetto. Depending on your type of beard you can add coconut oil as well but use it sparingly as it does add shine. For beard balms you'll want to use the oils mentioned above and compounded over a double boiler with melted down shea butter. You'll want to do maybe a 2:3 ratio to get that smooth butter consistency. This is mainly used for styling and controlling growth direction. You sort of need to try out different ratios and combinations of products to best suit your specific hair. And if you want some good essential oils for smell, I often use a combo cedar atlas. Bergamot, and sandalwood
@@the-subster I know that it works when you combine minoxidil with finasteride, but you should use it for years. Have some friends that do it, there hair is alright
@@ssstill_aliveee Yeah but just wondering if you could somehow do the same as you did with the beard. Use if for a while, stop, and keep the hair. From what I've seen that doesn't generally work
I can't grow a beard worth having, I just saw one of your other videos on Vaush's stream. I enjoyed your content so much I immediately subbed. I really like your approach and ability to communicate fashion advice. I've been trying to step up my wardrobe this year, thank you for the great advice! 👍
I used minoxidil in liquid form from october 2019 to like april or may 2020. I was using it 2 times a day with the recommended dose of 1ml per apply. I had like 98% clean cheeks with no hair visible, no real neck hair. I only had a mustache and a chin that weren't even connecting. After using minoxidil for 6-8 months regularly i now have a full beard and everybody that knew me was shocked when they first saw me with a full beard. I developed velus hairs that eventually turned into mature hairs that remained after i stopped using minoxidil. The only problem for me was that i didn't use it enough to have a really full beard with hairs that would cover nearly every inch of my face. Yes i have a full beard, but you can still see ny face pretty good through it if you look more carefully. So yes minoxidil is legit for beard growth, but it has also side effects. The ones i faced were dry and itchy skin til i got used to it. Some people may also feel heart palpitations or a high blood pressure, but these are very rare, only if you have a heart problem before starting this treatment you would maybe feel these symptoms. Also if you start this treatment you need to do it consistently for at least 6 to 12 months (depends from person to person) for you to actually have a result that would satisfy you. I would also say combining derma rolling your skin with using minoxidil would help the process. I will probably start using minoxidil again in near future just to get my beard more fuller. PS: for best results if you already have some kind of beard and wanna make it fuller or resolve a patchy beard it is recommended to trim to a very short lenght or even go clean shaven so the substances can be more easily absorbed by your skin. If i were to start using minoxidil again i would have to trim my beard a lot since i rock it very long these days. Or you could try to apply through the beard, but most of the liquid/foam would remain on your hairs and get into your skin.
It add several years to a face that doesnt have the strength and character to carry it off. Good for those who can rock it and want it otherwise its better to be clean shaven for those who cant.
It took me a while to learn the tips you are giving. The beard is an accessory woman love. Don't trim your beard at your jaw line, and don't trim your cheek line low, and dont pencil your mustache with a beard. You will look like a Sleazy corn star.
A good amount of the young guys that use minoxidil aren't getting new beard growth from the drug itself. It was most likely just aging naturally that filled in the beard.
The hair growth with minoxidil is permanent once the hairs reach their terminal stage (thick and not blonde baby hairs). I went from nothing to full beard in a year and have kept results. There are potential side effects with minoxidil so please do your own research before trying.

as someone who has used minoxidil for beard growth, it does work, and you will not loose your growth if used for 6 months or more. the continued use for life only applies to head hair. it does dry out your skin like crazy though due to the alcohol used as a carrier so you will need a pretty serious moisturizer. derma rolling combined with minoxidil will also help promote collagen production which is used for hair growth
Absolutely NO hate, but your current beard makes your already long face, twice as long now. It's a healthy looking beard no doubt but it just doesn't seem to fit right with/complement your facial features. I'm super sensitive towards aesthetics and proportions so do take my opinion (or don't) with a grain of salt. Cheers.
as someone with a beard, please don't recommend the bulldog beard balm. its not a traditional balm and more like a cream, it makes my beard feel wet, then dries it out.
i used minoxidil after only having a a mustache and few chin hairs at 21 i used a few months at a time grew my beard fully have used it a few times here and there when i think its lacking but retained most hair
Another great option for a beard balm/conditioner that many people may not know of is Working Hands. While yes it is great for calloused and dry skin, it also works great as beard balm, especially for thicker or coarser beard textures.
Used minoxidil for 16 months then stopped. Haven't used it in over 3 years. My beard hair never fell out and it has filled out nicely. It's anecdotal of course but I had a friend who started around the same time as me and had the exact same experience. Great video otherwise!
It's all genetics. Eat healthy, excercise, not much else you can do about your beard. Minoxidil also doesn't really work on beard, 0-10% improvement at best, and takes years to work.
minoxidil deff turns vellus hair into terminal hair. lost half my beard due to alopecia/stress during to covid; then started using minox and it came back and stayed back its been 3-4 years now. Fuller now too.
Hey, I’m a newer subscriber but I wanted to say I love you videos. I was wondering if you have any insight for people with short torsos and longer legs? Ik that might not necessarily be your body type 😅 but worth an ask. Thanks!
Bro, I could stimulate growth of my beard by shaving it. And in fact, I was focusing more on one side because it had less hair and it grew full. Now I have a problem at the other side suddenly.
I kinda want to debunk Tip 1 because it actually enhances your beard growth but not like immediatly how most people think. But shaving off your beard irritates the skin underneath which generates more bloodflow to this area. This causes more nutrients to basically reach your hair folicle and helping it grow thicker. So technically it works like minoxidil by causing more bloodflow through pshyical damage but in much less scale. You could also use a derma roller to irriate your skin and generate more bloodflow.
My barber fucked it up and trimmed it too high above the neck line hella unevenly and the back of sideburns straight down but not in a straight line. Damn it there goes 2 months of growth.
Minoxidil on the cheeks is the best remedy for bear growth, I did it and my beard is ticker than yours and I grew it at 24.. before that I had nothing just the goatee.
I used minoxidil for 2 years, i had 0 beard literally, i started when i was 18, now I'm 22, my beard isn't going anywhere, even if i shave it, it grows back
The thing with Minoxidil is that it doesnt matter how much of the product you use, if you dont have the folicule, you won't grow any hair, doesnt grow hair out of nowhere, it boosts existing hair growth. Basically, if you dont have the genetics, the results won't be as good as oppose to someone who has it.
