I planted seeds indoors and replanted 1st time to a bigger pot (6 inch pot) to move outside.I noticed they are what is known as leggy and don't know if at this point I should replant ( or add more soil) to cover up to point of node or is it OK to leave as, "leggy" :) ?... Even if lefts as is ( for future reference) when seedlings are leggy should the soil reach point of node when transplanting or up to same level before transplanting ( leggy portion exposed)? Although there are about 3- 4 leaves per plant 🪴 some are about 4 inches long therfore OK to harvest, correct? Now, I have about 3 plants per pot and was considering transplanting again so each one had its own pot but after watching this video I am wondering if that is necessary. How much space do they need between them? Thank you kindly for reading me and for any and all suggestions 🌱 🪴

You can certainly harvest them at 4-3 inches long, so no problem with that. I usually do not thin the seedlings, so you may or may not replant them. After few harvests I found it is better to sow new seeds, and for this reason I think just keep these and harvest few times and start a new batch instead of replanting them. And for the leggy plants, that should be ok too. Mesclun sometimes tend to be leggy and when you harvest them (just leaving 1" of the stem) they will regrow better and not as leggy as before. Lettuce and greens are fast growing and usually the manure added to the soil at the beginning will be enough for growing. However if you want to feed for the second or third growth, my go to is liquid fish fertilizers (5-1-1) diluted per instruction on the bottle. Feeding every 10-14 days will be good to go. Is there a certain depth you should have for your pot? I have grow lights, and they came with little containers, but I'm wondering if I should transplant my seedlings - so they have more room :) Thanks kindly

Pots usually should be 6 in (15 cm) deep. You may grow Mesclun mix in smaller pots, they will grow smaller but you can still enjoy some fresh baby leaves. Thank you very much for visiting!

Mesclun mix doesn't need thinning. So don't worry about having individual seedlings apart in each pot. They will thrive planting close to each other. I hope this helps.
