Straight or slightly wavy hair like yours and every picture you showed is INCREDIBLY EASY to grow out. It can easily be styled in many different ways and it will always look fine. However i have curly hair and its a MILLION times harder. You have no choice but to go through an awkward "afro" phase and it takes years longer for it to actually atart looking like long hair. 6 months of growth would be nearly long hair with straight hair, with curly hair you just look like you desperately need a haircut because it looks out of control no matter what you do

I think having straight hair is easier to maintain. I have thick coarse wirey churlish hair which after the 4th month phase makes styling it near on impossible as you can't style the sides.
