When I cut my bangs, I didn't regretted it. Actually, I really liked it because it looked cute. But now I want to grow it out because I'm just bored of it:/
Put hair conditioner on the hairline of your fringe rub it in and don’t wash it out keep it in over night and it will grow faster just remember to was it out in the morning keep doing it once a week
me, i look so cute with my bangs but one side is thicker than the other, and i cut it when my hair part wasnt centered 😭😭 im gonna grow it out then cut it again better because i look so ugly without them
Don Connors literally me a few months ago 😂 my fringe is at the awkward stage now - can’t wear it out because it’s too long but I can’t tuck it behind my ears because it’s too short 😭
Yeah growing out a fringe is a pain in the butt. I'm almost a year in. The most annoying part is when it's past your eyes but it's not long enough to stay stuck behind your ears and then when it's not long enough to put into a ponytail so you just have a bunch of hair flying around. Great tips you got there :-)
Blanka I feel your pain. Three years ago I decided to grow my fringe. After a year I had a haircut to gradually mix my fringe with the rest of the hair. It took me a year and a half in order to be able to put it in a pony tail. Try side french braiding, that helped me in the process of growing my bangs.
So freaking relatable 😭 I've had bangs for around 5 days now and I regret it so much. Whenever my family asked if I like it I said yes because I dont want to admit I made a mistake to them 💀😂
@@rubaadam4286 yep, I initially kept putting it to the side and cut them into curtain bangs, now they sort of just frame my face. So it's alright!! I survived!!
@@maevee3846 how long did it take for them to grow into curtain bangs? i have 6 weeks left of summer and need them to not be bad by the time school starts
@@anna2k_ it really depends how fast your hair grows. For me I just kept putting them to the side and it was less than a month till it was unnoticeable
I've had bangs pretty much my entire life (except for one time in college when I grew them out) and I feel like I'm stuck in a constant loop of growing the bangs, hating them, cutting them, regretting it, growing the bangs... 😂 I'm going to really try and stick with it this time, though! Thanks for this video, it's very helpful!
Me too! I've been having them since I can remember. My mom would usually cut them for me but in middle school I started cutting my own fringe because she wouldn't anymore. I grew them out at some point in high school and it stayed like that for a year then I wanted bangs again 😣 now i've been dealing with them since. I really want to grow them out because I've been told several times that they make me look childish but then I get stuck in the loop too! Some people think it's something that can be grown over night but it takes patience and control. The main reason why every time I try growing them out I go back to trimming is because i'm not comfortable with my forehead showing. Bangs look cute if only it wouldn't take forever for them to move aside.
@@MelissaRosales96 what about trying to grow them out but with a side swept style? So you still have something covering your forehead. I'm sure your forehead is fine and it's just that you're not used to seeing it.
@@MelissaRosales96 You sound just like me!! I love bangs, but they are such a struggle because I have cowlicks in my front hairline and stylists have a hard time cutting them evenly, so I always end up trimming them myself. I think they also make me look younger than I would like, but I just love how bangs look! Right now I have mine side-swept and I'm trying to grow them again (for the millionth time). I feel really uncomfortable with my forehead showing without bangs at all-- my forehead is large and wide, and I have a weird hairline, so I feel like bangs help, even though they are so high maintenance. Sounds silly, but it makes me feel a little better hearing that someone else understands the bangs loop too (cut, grow, cut, grow). My family makes fun of me that I am never happy with my bangs. I know it's just hair, but it's an insecurity of mine.
You definitely need to wear hair wraps more often! They look stunning on you, especially when your hair is up. 😍 Makes your gorgeous eyes and features stand out even more.
watching this after 8 (EIGHT) years of front bangs. It’s my entire personality. Nobody in my life (basically) knows me without bangs. But I feel the winds of change (read: very tired of needing a trim every 4 weeks on the dot and planning things around making sure bangs are styled). The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, I suppose. Wish me luck.
feel this. i love how my bangs look on me but the the maintenance is becoming a nuisance. i’d like one day where after 8 hours of sleep, they’re not sticking straight up, and i have to go straighten them 😭
It's like you read my mind! Yesterday I was stood in front of a mirror with a pair of scissors convinced this hair hell wasn't worth enduring anymore... THANK YOU for changing my mind, yours looks so good :)
I cut a fringe in again a few weeks ago and already hate it. Its so hard to keep going with it and not trim it back off. I don't know why I go back to a fringe when everytime I only like it for a few weeks and then grow it out. X
i love my fringe, i’ve had one for a while, but it makes my forehead break out like crazy and i’m using heat too much to get it straight as my hair is naturally curly, so i’m trying to grow it out
This feels really refreshing to hear with growing out my bangs. I’ve had them for years and this is my first time growing them out. People always show growing them out as such a quick, simple process, but I’m in month 7 and it’s around my top lip. I still can BARELY tuck it behind my ear and falls forward a lot. I just usually get a barrette and pin the hair by my temple, but it’s not very stylish. So now, I’m looking for styles not only while I’m still in the process of growing them out, but for after (again, this is my first time growing them out.) Just wanted to rant, and thank you for showing the reality of growing out bangs! EDIT: it’s now around a month later, and I don’t need to clip it all the time anymore! I’m still getting used to how to style it, but I’m not having anymore growing out struggles!
I have a fringe right now and I hate it :( my forehead is really big so if I would grow it out I would look wierd :( and it takes a time....well I guess I'll try to grow it out....good luck for me
Omg whatttt how does this come in my recommendation when I’m literally losing my mind trying to grow out my fringe!!! I have been doing the bobby pin thing for like 3 months now 😂😭 literally I have like 15 in my hair everyday
I've had a fringe all my life and I've been outgrowing it for 10 months and my tips are (for keeping it out of the way/ making it look natural) is putting your hair up in a side plait or a half-up half-down
I cut my bangs myself during quarantine as any teenage girl does. I like them and they look amazing on me but they’re a pain to get to make look right and I just wanted to know how much longer I would have to have them
GIRL SAME I looked weird with no bangs and I look so much better in photos and it suits my face shape but it's SO ANNOYING so i just blow dry them into a curl everyday and hope for the best
My bangs were fun for about 2 weeks, got some cute photos. But now I absolutely HATE them. I have a cowlick right in front so they are so hard to style and can only wear them one way... not to mention they just bug me sitting on my forehead. UGH. Plus after 2 weeks they already grew out too much to even wear them as front bangs anymore because they end straight into my eyes. It was tempting to re-cut them but I WONT GIVE IN. I've been just braiding or twisting my bangs to the side, or pulling them straight back, but dang, its a lot of work every day. Looking at some of your old videos it looks like it took about 4 months for them to sort of blend in.... thats a relief!
Agne Gusaite it goes fast, I was pissed off when my mum told me it’s gonna take a year to grow out. But it’s been 6 months for me and I can get one half behind my ears. I also got extentions o the fringe and they lasted a month so technically I’ve only had to deal with it for 5 months x
@@naneedcaprio8035 nah bro it’s not even grew that long and it’s been over a year😔😂it’s past my face tho just compared to my original hair length it’s a lot shorter, i got extensions done on it and it actually works really well and thickens it up too🤷♀️
I've legit been trying to grow out my bangs for 7 years. I kept on giving up and just cutting it again. It's been 2 years since I last cut it but because I used to bleach my hair it's damaged and breaks off, and the bangs therefore remains short.
Crymzon eee you should consider buying a wig and try not to put products in ur hair and then more hair will grow it could be easy... if you’ve got patience
Yes . It all makes sense . Blimey . I do all this stuff myself . I do relent , give in and chop the bugger back in . I shouldn't but I do . Once you have chopped in a fringe it is like you have made a pact with the devil . Too right. Don't let the fringe beat you . ♡♡♡♡
See, I love my bangs. I've had them for years. But lately, due to waking up for work early and having to worry about getting them straight, it's a pain. And my hair is naturally curly, so it's been even more of a pain because I'm trying to not put any heat onto my hair lately (I only use heat for my bangs because I don't like the weird curl I get due to having my bangs straight for years.) So I'm trying to part them, grow them out, etc. And this video does help. And you make a good point, I have my wedding in a few years and I really don't want bangs for my hairstyle that I might want to do lol. It's gonna be a long journey for me as well, but I'm excited to try and grow them out and not have to use heat at all. Plus it would save me time in the mornings for some extra sleep if I didn't need to wake up 10 minutes earlier to do my hair lol.
I resonated so much with one of your last sentences. I just recently got my bangs, for like a year ago or so, and I love it, I needed it, I like my appearance with it. But the one thing I knew instantly, when I got it, that I would not want to get married like this.
I remember watching it in March this year when I was still like “do I want to grow it? Will it suit me?” bc I had had my fringe since i remember (and also my forehead is rather huge. Like a five- or even sixhead I would say). But I’m 19 and felt so childish with bangs so I went for it. Best decision ever, can’t wait till it grows to my hair length!
I'm screenshotting most of these stories about people hating bangs and making a collage so if I have the urge to cut them again, I'll just look at it before I make the biggest mistake of my life. Again.
Guys if you want to grow your bangs don't use hair straightener cause 2 years ago when i had bangs i straighten them almost everyday and it took me 2 years to grow them
I got a fringe in November and it's grown about 4 inches since then and I want it to GROW LIKE THE REST OF MY HAIR cuz I've had bangs for the majority of my life and I'm tired of looking like a little girl
SINCE NOVEMBER ??? does slow hair growth run in your family ??? i cut my fringe really short (cus im dumb) & it’s been two months & it’s finally up to my eyebrows, i’m just worried ab school lol bc i cut my hair shorter too & every1 says it suits me but uh i like cried like 15x a day bc of it
i had my mental breakdown on saturday and got them professionally cut, i hate them, so here i am, luckily theyre long and wispy and my hair is midlength so it wont take that long to grow but fml im desperate and miss my middle part
I have had a fringe since I was a toddler upwards ,my whole life, I'm now deciding that I've gotten bored and want grow it out this is amazing and I have the same type of hair!
You look awesome with with/no bangs!!! I grew out an extremely thick fringe, and I know how hard it is. It was like half of my whole hair(I'm slightly exaggerating, but it was almost a half, cuz I don't have thick hair) I'm still growing it(it's the 4th year since I'm growing it, it's already 3.5 of 4 have been grown) And... I want "bangs") Thinner, they will suit me... But I'm not sure if I want them 100%... Like it's too hard to grow out bangs... Also I will have to care about them more than I cared about “fringe”... And... My skin is oily... I'm washing my hair daily. I've no choice. My skin became like this more than 6 years ago. Before it I've washed my hair for 2 times per week.
I grew out my fringe in middle school when my hair was at its shortest. So somewhere between shoulder length and jaw length. So that added another level of awkward into those years, especially since i was also a center parter and didnt know how to do anything with it like a high pony tail. Ive advanced a lot since then. I can braid and french braid and dutch braid my own hair. I love messing around with different styles and different hair tools (like the things to put it up, not the ones for curling or straightening). Ive thought about doing bangs or just at least making that area shorter, like jaw length like you had it, because it will frame my face more naturally. But for a million reasons ive never done it. Too much maintanence, i like it as it is now, i hated growing out a fringe, it would get stuck in my glasses, i dont have my contacts situations sorted i dont like it tickling my face. On the flip side, i have an undercut that needs to be trimmed as often, and i dont look forward to growing out when i get tired of it. But its less maitenance making it look nice than for a fringe. Im glad you stuck it out. Its worth it, definitely an exercise in paitents, and despite the frustration, its nice way to mix things up and keep things from getting stale. I love your fringe too, but you really have chnaged your look a lot and its refreshing. You can always go back to an iconic look, but sometimes iconic is boring after a time.
I’ve been growing out my fringe for a while now and I twist it back, EvErY DaY. I bet some people get tired of seeing me wear the same style everyday but I cannot do anything else with it until it grows out more.
Finally an actual good video about growing out a fringe!! Thank you so much I've never had another hair style other than a fringe and I'm getting so bored of it and feel like it makes me look young and more sort of 'innocent' and odd compared to the rest of my friends/family. Let's do this!
i have bangs, and i don’t regret them. i just had them for a long time and i have a problem where i change things a lot. i’m currently trying to grow them out and i’m going to dye my hair dark brown soon 😭
My hair grows out fairly fast too. I shaved all my hair off in February this year. It's soon November and my hair is already shoulder length. Like sis I have given up on fringes cause they just grow out too fast for me to be bothered trimming it. 😂😂
