GROW TURMERIC/HALDI AT HOME -SUPERFOOD
DAIZZ'S TIP:-While turmeric is fairly easy to grow, it definitely requires a certain amount of patience - especially if you grow it from rhizomes.If you’re planting sprouted rhizomes, the shoot should develop within 8-12 DAYS. Rhizomes without sprouts may take up to 25-28 DAYS to develop a shoot.
BEST TIME TO GROW TURMERIC:-Best season to plant turmeric is spring or summer when the
temperature stay above 77 F (25 C), but if you are living in tropics,
it can be planted throughout the year.

This is one of the best video on RU-vid for this with a detailed explanation which is easy to understand each step of the way. Thanks for uploading this, I greatly appreciate it. I recently purchased some online about a month ago, because It's unavailable at our local Indian and Asian grocery stores. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how it's going to survive since it's going to be winter here (Zone 6b in US) and the leaves have already died out. I'm keeping it in a well drained potting mix in a container with drainage inside my house, and I have been keeping the soil moist. I wanted to grow it for it's beautiful flowers ❤️ I am in so love with it 💓.

Your video answered all my questions by showing the planting into what pot size and soil combination, what the plant needs are is so useful. Hello, sometimes I mix the powder with my Milk, or Coffee. But sometimes, I drink the plain mixture, turmeric and water. I only put half a teaspoon, but I drink it everyday. :) Hope it helps you as well.

After many trials I finally got ginger to grow, in seeds tarter soil at first then transplanted. The second batch I put normal soil in the bottom and just a layer of starter soil on top and to cover the rhizomes. As that did well I did turmeric the same way and it grew!

I got fresh turmeric rhizomes from big basket. I soaked them in water for 3 days, then I sowed them in soil shoots came up within 3 weeks.

Ginger and turmeric are the same type of plant bro :) but I pick up my ginger in around 5 months after sowing. I think turmeric grows better than ginger since Natural Ways says that turmeric provides more than needed :D well you should make a video and show the comparison to us so I can see the truth, too. Thanks btw for the health benefit of turmeric :D

Yes turmeric is far more easy to grow than the ginger ...n it does not need any care once the plants are well established

Hi, we moved to a new house and there i find this turmeric planted in the ground. I first mistake it for ginger but when I Googled it, I realized it as turmeric. We are in Canada, the leaves are almost two foot long and green. I'm able to see the turmeric below, when can I harvest turmeric. Surprisingly it survived winter in Canada 🇨🇦

Interesting. My mom tried growing it in a pot but it died off when we brought it in for the winter. I think the house was too dry for it. Where in Canada do you live? I live in southern Ontario which I'm told is colder than B.C., so I'm curious as to which part of Canada you live.

I planted turmeric last year in December. Plants are very healthy with shiny and very big green leaves. Still the leaves are not drying. Shall I start harvesting or wait ?

It's not tonight just soak in water for two days so that it will get softened cut it into pieces small and dry it again and if you have grinder the traditional you can use it or send it to atta chakki they will grind it into powder
