I've got 28 Japanese maple seeds germinating on my balcony right now, I will plant them out into the ground at the property when they sprout! And I've got some dogwood cuttings and a virginia creeper cutting that's already sprouted too! So exciting ^^
You two are hilarious! Don't know how much I'll be able to use, as I'm a lazy gardener of natives in Indiana USA, but you are great fun to listen to! (Another person who found you through Alexandra)
Thanks for the PSA on why these things cost what they do. I too own a nursery, and it seems certain *ahem* people have a hard time wrapping their head around the amount of time and commitment that growers are putting in.
Thanks for being part of an industry that provides so much joy and satisfaction. I bought one of these about 8 years ago and the cost has long been forgotten but it's beauty is breathtaking every season.
Great show 👏 I have a Florida Red Maple in my backyard that gets afternoon sun. It's only 2 years old. So far, so good. Wow! Your subscriptions are growing well 👩🌾👍
I've killed more acer palmatums from over watering than underwatering for sure...there are a few that really can't tolerate much sun but like you say, most prefer some sun...
I’m late to the party again but I’ve a question anyway. I am now wondering if anyone has tried this sort of grafting technique with one of the low growing yellow ground covering conifers such as Paul’s Gold Threadleaf False Cypress? Or even aCupressus macrocarpa ‘Greenstead Magnificent’? Something like this would be a real head-turner for sure
@@thehorti-culturalists Well.what are you waiting for? The thought of one of these plants hovering over lower growing plants like some sort of horticultural UFO seems quite delightful to me. I know nothing of grafting other than I think the graft would have to be between two plants in the same family. Do you have a video on grating already?
